"That was so cute! Did you guys plan that?" A freckle-faced girl asked Blaine. Hed been signing napkins and t-shirts and other various items for about a half hour while the crowd was dwindling down. Finally near the end, Blaine just laughed and shook his head.

"No, actually. I, uh, I—I didnt even know he was coming until about twenty minutes before I went on. A friend of mine snuck him backstage." Blaine said truthfully with a hint of blush on his cheeks. People had been asking him about Kurt all night. Not that he was surprised; it was bound to happen after the little stunt he pulled.

"Have you guys practiced those songs together before? They sounded perfect!" Her voice squeaked a bit as she spoke, but Blaine just smiled.

"Uh... I dont think so. Which is silly because Moulin Rouge is Kurts favorite movie and one of my top tens... youd think wed be singing the songs a lot." Blaine babbled on a bit as they continued to ask him questions. While he was getting better, he still was a little awkward when all the attention was on him and he didnt have music to hide behind.

"Wait. You mean you guys have never sung those before? Ever?" The freckled girls friend asked. "Not even once? How do you know which part to sing??" Her expression showed a strange mix of confusion and amazement that had Blaine biting his lip not to smile too wide.

"Weve had a lot of practice, I guess?" He answered with a shrug. "We just kind of know what part to take when we sing together. We know each others voices enough to know what fits, I guess. Plus we both have a lot of musical background, so that helps with improv duets." Blaine let out a small laugh as he rubbed the back of his neck, a little embarrassed.

"Is he still here?" The second girl questioned. "You guys make the cutest couple!" She blushed deeply at her outburst and Blaine just smiled politely at her.

"I hope hes still here," he said playfully, "Im pretty sure hes my ride home." Blaine missed the look the two girls shared as they said their goodbyes and headed towards the exit. While he was often amused at girls like them, he preferred talking to people who wanted to know about his music. His heartbeat quickened with excitement when a group of teenagers asked when hed be releasing music and where it would be available. They may have only found out about him through Kurt, but at least they seemed to like him independently of his relationship.

Once Blaine was finished making his rounds with the crowd he jumped off the edge of the stage and headed back towards the stairs and in the direction of his dressing room where Kurt was waiting. He didnt want to admit it, but he really had been upset that Kurts schedule was too busy for him to come and see one of his shows. The fact that he was able to make it today made Blaine feel like he was floating.

"So Im guessing since youre here Kayleigh ditched?" Blaine asked Kurt as he entered the small room.

"She did. She was kind enough to ask if I was able to bring you home first." Kurt glanced up at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Though judging by her tone I think she was asking if I could bring you with me to my house..." He broke into a smile and looked back at Blaine with a twinkle in his eyes. "Congrats, by the way."

Blaine raised an eyebrow in response as he began packing up his things. Kurt stood up to help him grab his bags as he replied, "For finishing your first little mini-tour!"

"Oh," Blaine said as he shouldered his messenger back and took his guitar case in one hand, offering his empty hand to Kurt. "Thanks. And thank you for being here."

"I told you I wouldnt miss it!" Kurt reminded him as he took his outstretched hand. "I thought Id have to, but Im happy I didnt have to break my promise."

"I cant say Im complaining." Blaine grinned and gripped Kurts hand as they walked in comfortable silence towards Kurts parked car. The quiet continued as Kurt drove towards Blaines apartment, but it wasnt at all tense. Blaine sensed there was something holding Kurt back, but he didnt want to push. He didnt think it was serious anyway. It wasnt until they were about halfway back to Blaines, stopped at a red light in an empty intersection, that Kurt turned to him slightly, though his eyes still focused on the unchanging traffic light, and tentatively spoke.

"So, um, what are your plans for Thanksgiving?" He blurted out so quickly and quietly that Blaine almost didnt catch it. Almost.

Blaine would have been lying if he said he hadnt thought about what they should do for the holidays. For appearances, they should spend them together, if only for a short amount of time. Its not like their families knew the truth. Their parents and Blaines brother (especially Blaines brother) would surely assume things (that were untrue, in actuality) about their seemingly serious five month long relationship, and to suddenly say "See ya!" would look very odd from the outside.

So, yes, Blaine had thought about their dilemma for the holidays, but hed reached no conclusion for that decision.

"Um, well as of right now I dont have any plans," Blaine finally answered as the delayed traffic light turned green. "I dont know what my parents and Cooper have planned either; our plans change every year." He paused a moment, glancing at Kurt as he looked thoughtfully ahead at the street, then, "Did... did you have any plans?"

"Um," Kurt bit his lip nervously and kept his eyes on the road. "My dad asked me earlier if you wanted to spend it with us. I didnt really know what to say so I just told him Id let him know. I honestly had no idea what to say." He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel lightly and a bit distractedly, his lower lip catching between his teeth only to be released a second later for the process to start over. He let out a breath attached to a shaky laugh and said, "I guess weve hit a bit of a roadblock, havent we?"

"Well work it out," Blaine replied calmly. "Weve made it this far, havent we?" he caught Kurts right arm by the sleeve and skimmed his fingers down to pull Kurts hand from the steering wheel and rest it, entangled with his own, on the center console between them. "Ill talk to Cooper tomorrow and see if he wants to go to Ohio or if our parents want to come here. If theyre coming to L.A. that solves our problem there, and if were going to Ohio, I can just stay with my parents. Worst comes to worse... its not a big deal, Kurt. We can keep this up." Blaine said finally, ignoring the rush of blood to his cheeks.

"Youre sure?" Kurt asked tentatively. "I just dont want you to be uncomfortable. I know you get nervous and if we have to add this on top of it I dont want—"

"Kurt."

"Sorry."

"Dont be. I appreciate it, really. Thank you for looking out for me." Blaines voice was light but serious as he stroked his thumb along Kurts. "I know your dad is important to you and if I avoided every event with him involved it would be suspicious for one thing, and for another it would make him upset, which would make you upset." Kurt glanced at Blaine with a silent thank you filling his eyes. Thank you for understanding. "Well be fine. Were both adults; we can handle this."

"I know. Im over thinking everything, I just... My dad can see right through me. I dont want him to be upset if he finds out."

"He wont find out. Weve fooled everyone else so far, havent we?" Blaine soothed. "And so what if he does? You and your dad have a great relationship; you dont have to worry about his being upset with you. If anyone should be worried, its me..." He trailed off as he thought about it. He and Kurt had really talked this through when they started. They understood their dynamic, what their relationship was, why it was. Getting someone else to understand that would be different. Just by the nature of their relationship, Kurt would be viewed as the victim. Blaine would be seen as the nobody musician who used Kurt to get famous. Especially with Kurts dad, Blaine would be the bad guy who broke Kurts heart for selfish purposes.

"Stop. I know what youre thinking." Kurt interrupted Blaines spiraling thoughts. "If my dad finds out hell understand. Ill make sure he understands." Kurt clutched at Blaines hand to keep him from arguing. "He knows the kind of person I am. And he knows that I wouldnt do something like this unless it was for someone I really care about and want to be successful. Plus, he knows were good friends. Even before we started this, he told me that he wouldnt be surprised if we started dating."

"He did?"

"Yeah. He knows were close. He wont blame you for anything, trust me." Kurt squeezed Blaines hand once more and pulled his own away to turn into the parking lot for Blaines building. "Let me know when you find out about Thanksgiving, okay?"

"I will. Ill give my parents a call tomorrow. Cooper will probably vote for whatever plan will get him to meet you. He probably wants to tell all kinds of stories about me that he classifies as embarrassing..." Blaine rolled his eyes and shrugged as if it were inevitable. With Cooper as a brother, it really was.

"Ooh!!" Kurt sang enthusiastically as Blaine unbuckled his seatbelt. "Sounds like fun!"

"Oh yes, a real blast." Blaines flat monotone was sarcastic as he opened the backdoor to reach for his things. "Hes worse than Kayleigh. Theyre not allowed to be in the same room together."

"That would be a wonderful thing to witness."

"For about five minutes. Then it just gets extremely awkward." Blaine closed the back door, guitar case in one hand and messenger bag slung over his opposite shoulder. "Do you want to come in?" He chuckled the offer as Kurt tried to stifle a yawn.

"I think Im going to pass out and sleep for days as soon as I sit on something more comfortable than my drivers seat." Kurt smiled sleepily.

"Are you sure youre okay to drive? You can always sleep here if you want..." Blaine internally cringed at how the offer sounded. He hadnt meant it to sound presumptuous in any way, and thankfully he knew that Kurt didnt take it that way. He did have a guest room, after all.

"Are you sure? I dont want to intrude...." Kurt said, reaching for the keys as he trailed off, already knowing the answer. He yawned again, wider than the first time, as Blaine nodded his response and closed the passenger side door. The engine shut off a moment later and Kurt got out of the car, looping his arm through Blaines as they entered the building. "So tell me, why is it awkward with Cooper and Kayleigh?"

"Well sometimes its not bad, but other times theres a lot of uncomfortable tension... for me anyway. Kayleigh would never admit it, but Im pretty sure she finds Cooper to be the most attractive man on the planet. Or at least she did at one point and it hasnt completely worn off. And Cooper... hes been better about seeking attention in the last few years, but when it comes to Kayleigh he cant help but soak it all in." Blaine turned the key in the lock and shook his head.

"Sometimes I just want to tell them to hook up and get it over with so I dont have to deal with them, but they could never date. Theyll always just be friends with awkward tension." He shrugged as he ended his story, tucking his guitar case into the corner of his music room and hanging his and Kurts jackets in the closet.

"I still think it would be hilarious to hear stories told about you from the two of them together." Kurt kicked off his shoes by the door and collapsed onto the couch almost immediately, slumping over and stretching out.

"Hardy-har." Blaine stuck his tongue out as Kurt flopped over on his side, closing his eyes. "Long day?" he asked.

"Long month." Kurt replied around a yawn. "Ive been at work non-stop and the writers are just loving these really emotionally draining episodes lately. Its quite taxing but you dont feel it until you get a break and realize how worn out you are."

"Sounds like fun." Blaine said, nudging Kurts knee with his own. "...Kurt?"

"Mm."

"Kurt."

"Mhmm." Kurt hummed softly, his breathing already starting to even out. Blaine smiled fondly and turned to his room to change, returning with a USC t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants for Kurt to borrow. Kurt was laying on his right side with his arm curled underneath his head. His other arm was resting in front of him, legs curled up on the couch as well. Blaine watched him for a moment with a gentle smile before placing a hand on his.

"Kurt. Kurt, come on, I know you dont want to sleep in that outfit, no matter how tired you are." Blaine shook him gently as he opened his eyes. "Come on, sleepy head."

"Mm, youre messing with my sleep cycle." Kurt mumbled sleepily.

"I know, what a terrible fake-boyfriend I am for that." Blaine chuckled. "Come on, up. Change first, then go back to sleep. I dont want you to break up with me because I let you sleep in your designer vest." He offered the sweatpants and t-shirt to Kurt as he stood up.

"Fine, fine. Use my weakness against me just to get me to move." Kurt grumbled half-heartedly, taking the offered pajamas from Blaine with a quiet ‘thank you and heading towards the guest room.

"Next time I see you this tired Im taking a video. This is wonderful blackmail footage."

"Hate you." Came the mumbled reply.

"Good night, Dearest!" Blaine called in an overly cheerful voice, to which Kurt turned around, walked back to where he was standing and kissed the corner of his mouth.

"Good night, Darling, and congratulations on your shows!" He said, equally cheery and bright. Blaine looked at him with a baffled expression as Kurts face fell back into its tired expression, but Kurt muttered the word ‘actor and Blaine nodded his understanding. "Sleep well!" Kurt said as he closed the door behind him.

"You too!" Blaine replied, meandering off to his own room. He really hadnt realized how tired he was until his head hit the pillow and he quickly drifted off.

"You know," Cooper said in between bites of his lunch. "Most of the time I go out and assume people are looking at me, but I actually think its you theyre staring at right now, Squirt." He looked around a moment and nodded in confirmation. "I dont know whether I should be offended or proud." He paused for a moment, as if the concept of people not looking at him was something that could only happen when gravity stopped working, then continued on eating his lunch as Blaine watched him.

It wasnt often that he was able to see his brother; most of their visits as of late had been few and far between, but Blaine was grateful whenever they could have lunch together.

"I guess thats what happens when youre dating a celebrity and related to another one." Blaine shrugged his reply, but he didnt miss the way Coopers face lit up at the statement.

"While I dont argue with that," Cooper started, "Its also what happens when youre as talented as you are. Give yourself some credit, Blainey." He sang.

"Really? You still need to call me that?"

"If Kayleighs allowed to, so am I!" Cooper argued, shoving a breadstick in his mouth and chewing pointedly.

"Kayleighs not allowed to do it. She does it to annoy me." Blaine continued to pick at his lunch while Cooper argued the reasons as to why annoying him is all the best possible reason to call him names. After a brief period of silence, Blaine spoke up before Cooper could start a new conversation.

"Do you have plans for Thanksgiving yet?" He stumbled out. Cooper shot him a surprised glance as he swallowed before he spoke.

"I dont, actually. I havent talked to Mom and Dad yet about their plans, either." Cooper studied him for a moment, and then continued. "Why? Got any plans with your beau?" He wiggled his eyebrows at Blaine, trying to get a rise out of him, but only succeeding in bringing a light pink tinge to his cheeks.

"We havent made any plans yet; were still trying to figure that out." Blaine said as evenly as possible. "Thats why I was wondering if you knew what Mom and Dad were doing, if they planned to come here or if we were going back home-"

"Whats Kurt doing?" Cooper interrupted, looking intently at Blaine.

"Oh, um..." Blaine hesitated as he rubbed his palms along the tops of his thighs to keep his hands busy. "I think he was planning on going to Ohio to his parents house. I dont know if he actually decided but that sounds like what hes going to do."

"Great! Its settled, then!" Cooper gave a big smile and returned to his plate, leaving Blaine baffled and staring in confusion.

"Whats settled?" Blaine chanced to ask.

"Well go home for Thanksgiving and you can bring Kurt along so we can meet him! I know youve already met his parents; its only fair." Cooper pointed dramatically at Blaine, which always brought a laugh out of him. Although he grew out of his old "style" of acting, Cooper still brought back the occasional dramatic movement to make Blaine laugh like they shared a private joke.

"All right, Ill let him know and see what he says." Blaine smiled at his older brother as he changed the subject and launched into a petty lecture on the importance of being prepared for paparazzi. Blaine only half-listened, instead mostly thinking about how his holidays were going to go.
