Author's Notes: For those of you who don't know, I generally try to post Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Which means I was horribly late this week. I'm sorry! Anyway. Much love.
“What… What time is it?” Blaine asked, eyebrows furrowing. They had been up for a while, but these were the first words spoken, they had chosen instead to share kisses and hold hands. Kurt shrugged.

“Dunno.” He said, stretching luxuriously and nuzzling against his chest. “Late?”

“Mm.” Blaine said, reaching behind him for the alarm clock, lifting it so he could read. “Quarter to six. And it’s already so dark out!”

“That’s how winter happens, Blaine.” Kurt reminded him, snuggling into his warmth.

“Well, I think this is the perfect date opportunity.” Kurt moaned a bit, pressing closer still.

“But you’re warm.”

“I’ll still be warm on our date.”

“But you’re warmer in bed.”

“Avoiding that joke like a gentleman, why do I always have to talk you into these things?” Kurt made a little noise that might have been a hum against his chest. “C’mon. You’ll be glad we went.” Kurt huffed dramatically and allowed Blaine to pull him into a seated position before climbing out of bed.

“I don’t have any other clothes.”

“You look great.”

“Firstly, I don’t have pants on. Secondly, I’ve been wearing these for three days, Blaine. I don’t know how to express how much this bothers me.”

“Well then, pick something out for yourself when you’re getting my outfit ready.” Blaine said, smirking at him. Kurt glared at him a bit.

“Why does this have the air of your planning about it?”

“No reason.” Blaine said, turning him around and kissing him on the cheek before steering him to the closet.

He made quick work of Blaine’s clothes, throwing some jeans, a light grey collared shirt and an emerald green sweater out the door before turning to get his own clothes.

He took a pair of black pants that he had made Blaine buy even though he complained of them hurting, and found a bright blue sweater that he knew would match his eyes, even though it would balloon over his chest and shoulders. He made a quick decision and broke one of his own rules, tucking a quarter of it in just around his hipbone, so it fell a little more flatteringly, and called out to Blaine.

“Do you have pants on?”

“Does it matter?” Blaine said, opening the door to the closet, and going very still. Kurt didn’t notice.

“Somewhat. Anyway, where do you plan on- what?” He said, looking up, feeling Blaine’s gaze.

“Dom thing.” He says, waving his hand nonchalantly, but looking faintly sheepish.

“What would that be?” He asked, brow furrowing. Blaine took his hand and pulled him away from the closet, his expression smooth, as Kurt worked it out.

“Oh my god. You like me in your clothes.”

“Why would you say that? Seems like a silly notion. I wouldn’t give it much thought.” Blaine said all of this in a rush, a little half smile mounting on his face as he helped Kurt into his long navy coat, and put on a pea coat of his own, popping the collar up and smoothing down his hair.

“Ugh, that is such a dom thing.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” Blaine said, finally allowing the whole grin to show, and pulling Kurt out the door.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.” He said, casting his voice in a mysterious tone. Kurt rolled his eyes. “C’mon.” He let go of Kurt’s hand, and instead, linked his arm through Kurt’s. It took some getting used to. Kurt was the passive partner in the link, which meant he held his arm a little aloft, giving Blaine room. But when he relaxed, it was surprisingly comfortable, having someone hold his arm and being held close to Blaine’s body space. Gently steered in the right direction.

“Do you want me to be your dom or your boyfriend for this date?” Kurt jolted, a little startled, and Blaine skimmed his thumb back and forth across the place it rested on his arm.

“Dom.” He said, not looking at Blaine.

“Okay.”

Kurt turned to look at him and saw little white stars caught on his eyelashes.

“Oh, it’s snowing.” Blaine smiled.

“Sure is. First of the season, isn’t it?”

“There was a freak one back in September, but yeah, first of the season.”

“Damn climate change. Well, did I make good on my promise?” Blaine asked, turning to face him with a lilt of amusement in his eyes.

“Which was?”

“I’m warm out of bed, too.” Kurt snorted indelicately and had to clap a hand to his mouth and rocked a bit. When he calmed, Blaine had on a smug little smile.

“You, sir, are terrible.”

“You didn’t answer.”

“Yes. Yes you are.”
***

“Wait here for me.” Blaine instructed, cupping his face in his hand for a second before turning and entering what looked to be a restaurant.

Kurt waited, warming his hands, blowing into them and wondering what Blaine was up to. Wondering about Blaine’s motives seemed to be a chief occupation these days. It wasn’t that Kurt doubted him, not at all, but it was that he… he didn’t get why Blaine wanted to do this. This smooth slowness. For Kurt, it didn’t feel like Blaine was building him up to servitude, it felt like a heady tailspin into something he couldn’t quite name. Which was very odd. He concluded that Blaine was just very odd.

At that, he came out of the building with a bag in hand, and waved to traffic as he crossed the street back to Kurt, and gently took his chin and kissed him on the forehead. “Good boy.” And with that, he took Kurt’s arm again and hailed a cab. One pulled up fairly quickly, and Blaine opened the door for Kurt before opening the front door, muttering a few words to the taxi driver, before sliding into his own seat next to Kurt.

Kurt looked at the picture of the taxi driver mounted on the back of the seat- he was an older man with a collar which seemed to have- Kurt looked closer- a bell on it. He does not look ashamed in the picture, and as Kurt heard the faint jingle when the cabbie turns his head, he wondered what kind of Dom his owner is, wonders if she’s good to him. He hoped so.

He leaned his head on Blaine’s shoulder again as they drove, his eyes weighty with sleep again, though he’d slept all through the day, and Blaine took his hand, to show him, Kurt guessed, that this was a good or at least okay thing for him to do.

“Don’t be gone too long, sleeping beauty. We’re going to arrive soon.” He murmured, letting Kurt lean on him. Kurt mumbled an incoherency. Minutes later, they arrived.

Blaine pulled him out of the cab, assuring him he had smoothly paid the driver and yes, tipped him generously. Kurt, however, was too busy with the large structure in front of him.

“It’s a gazebo.”

“Yes, yes it is.” Blaine put a hand on the small of Kurt’s back.

“And it’s cold out.”

“A little chilly, yes.”

“It’s snowing, Blaine.”

“Kurt?” Kurt turned to stare at him, eyebrow lifting haughtily. “Shh. Trust me.” Blaine said softly, walking them up to the gazebo. “Close your eyes.” He obeyed, shivering slightly. A soft, warm fabric fell over his eyes, wrapping around is temples and tied in the back. He opened his mouth, and a finger was pressed to it. He closed it again, and his coat tightened around him, his scarf tied more warmly and secure around his neck. “Are you alright, love?”

“Yes.” Kurt said, feeling Blaine step closer, wondering how intimate this was going get. Public displays of affection were commonplace, dom to sub, because, of course, of the nature of the dom. It didn’t seem like Blaine to ask him to do this without warning, or talking about it. But all he got was a kiss to the cheek, Blaine’s lips hot against his face.

“I knew you would flush really prettily out in the cold.” Blaine said, rubbing his hands over Kurt’s arms. “I’ll get you warm, honey.”

“Okay, you definitely planned this.”

“I said I wanted you quiet.” Blaine said, gentle and musing. Kurt bit his lip. “Don’t do that. You have great lips.” Kurt thought it was a weird compliment, but it made him feel all warm, so he licked them and smiled at the place where he imagined Blaine was. He heard him laugh and smiled wider. “Tease. Now stay where you are, and I’ll set up.” Kurt nodded, and listened as Blaine’s footsteps echoed around the gazebo. All of a sudden he had a flash of fear. What if Blaine left him here? Cold, blindfolded, not knowing the part of the city he was in, crying and embarrassing himself in front of the cab he’d have to call and fuck he’d been stupid and did he even have his wallet?

And then, he heard the soft sound of singing. He tilted his head, realizing what it was.

Blaine was singing the opening verse of Amazing Grace. It was soft, not much technique going into what was clearly a practiced voice.

It was a simple thing, but so complex and huge and meaningful that he had no idea how to react.

Blaine didn’t stop singing until he was touching Kurt again, helping him to sit down on what felt like a pillow.

“You can talk now, honey, it is a date.”

“Thank you.” Blaine untied his blindfold and tucked it out of sight. Kurt opened his eyes to the sight of the city. It seemed the gazebo was perched on a hill, and the lights in the building twinkled brightly. A mug of what looked to be tea was pushed into his hand, and there were plates of warm bread and soup in front of him, laid out on a blanket with candles.

“So never doubt my planning again.”

“Jesus.” Kurt said as Blaine nestled him against his chest. “This is lovely.” He took a sip of the tea and closed his eyes again. “How did you get a restaurant to give you candles and a blanket?”

“Don’t question it.” He answered. “Don’t disrupt clichs. You know what they say about disrupting clichs.”

“It’s not a clich.”

“It is, though.” He kissed him softly.

“It might be if I wasn’t your sub in training.”

“You raise an interesting point.” He said, ripping a hunk of bread apart and dipping it into the soup, handing it to him. Kurt took it delicately. It was pumpkin soup. “Broth base, not cream, don’t get yourself worked up. Now, I think the only way to break the clich is to go with your whole sub in training theory when we get home.”

“Which means?”

“Tying, at least.” Blaine said conversationally, lifting his own mug to his lips- Kurt got a strong smell of hot chocolate. A dom who drinks hot chocolate. Kurt suppressed a smile. “We’ll see where that takes us. Unless, of course, you’re still tired.”

“I’m not, we slept all day.”

“Perfect. You smell so good, boy.” Kurt got a little thrill of excitement down his spine at Blaine’s use of the word in casual conversation.

“Thank you.”

“Exhibitionism’s not your thing, is it?”

“Not yet.”

“Mmm. Let’s get you home.”

“I haven’t eaten yet!” He protested, grinning slightly.

“Fine.” Blaine huffed in fake exasperation and Kurt smiled. “But if we are going to play a bit tonight, I do need to know how you are doing.” He said leaning his chin on Kurt’s shoulder. Kurt was silent for a while, before realizing that this was a question.

“Be more specific?”

“Do you feel safer with me than you have before?”

“Yeah.”

“Kurt.”

“I mean… I suppose. Sometimes I have these terrible thoughts. Like when I was blindfolded? Until you started singing, I couldn’t be sure that you wouldn’t leave. So I always have that initial feeling of… of being scared, but then you’ll do something that makes it go away.”

“Good boy. We’ll keep working on it. And how are you feeling about the punishment?”

“I’m glad it’s over.”

“Me too.”

“It didn’t… excite you?”

“Of course it did. But you weren’t… you weren’t getting off on it. So it’s not all that exciting.”

“Wow.” Kurt sighed, leaning his head on Blaine’s shoulder.

“But I could. I think you could too if I let you.” Kurt chuckled, surprised at how unembarrassed he felt. “You’d really look good over my lap.”

“Not tonight, I’m guessing?”

“Of course not.” Blaine said, smiling and swirling his mug of chocolate around. “Anything else you’re dying to talk about?”

“About punishment.” He asked, quietly. “Am I allowed to do what I did?”

“Request it, you mean?” Kurt nodded. “Of course, Kurt. You can request anything of me you’d like. I won’t always say yes, but you can ask. Restrictions might come with the covenant, sure, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

“Okay.” He said, nodding. “That’s all I have.”

“Good. Thank you for speaking up. I’d always so much rather you speak up, Kurt. I have a question for you, though.”

“Yeah?”

“Am I boring you?”

“What?” This was a shock. He pushed out of Blaine’s lap.

“Am I boring you?”

“No! God, no, Blaine, why do you ask?”

“We’re going really slow. Logistical talking, and sometimes some other… things. Now, I think that’s what you need. But we do a lot of it, and I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted more excitement.” Blaine said, looking at him and shrugging. Kurt reached up and fingered his curls, smiling softly.

“No. I mean, I’m going to want more eventually, but I love you and that’s enough, right now.”

“You…” Blaine trailed off, his eyes going comically wide. It took Kurt a second to realize what he’d said.

“Oh my god.” Kurt said, looking back at him. “Yeah. I do. You’re odd for a dom and I don’t know if we’re going to work still and I don’t always understand you and I can’t be positive that you won’t leave but I love you.”

“I love you too.” Blaine said, as if this fact were obvious, and leaned over to kiss him. “Oh, we are never breaking the clich now.”

“Mmf.” Kurt agreed and Blaine laughed a little.

“Sure you still aren’t down for the whole exhibitionism thing?”

“Positive.”

“Can we go home now?”

“Yeah.”
***

“Kiss me.” Kurt did so, and it was almost reverent. Blaine was kneeling over where he was spread out on Blaine’s bed, hands cuffed above his head, legs untied as of yet. Blaine had undressed him slowly, taking off his shirt and pants, and now he was almost entirely exposed, Blaine skimming his hands over his briefs.

“Good boy. You’re so beautiful.” Blaine hummed, kissing him softly just under his jaw and trailing his lips down the pale skin of his neck. Kurt whimpered as his nipples pebbled under Blaine’s tongue as Blaine hooked his thumbs under the waistband of Kurt’s underwear.

“Are you ready for this, boy?”

“Yeah.” He breathed, as Blaine kissed just above his waistband and pulled it down, off, and away.

“I can’t adjust to how wonderful you are.” Blaine said, sighing, and snaking back up his body, and lathing his own hand with his tongue as he reached down to palm Kurt. He let out a stuttering moan and tried to still his hips as Blaine stroked him slowly, sucking at an earlobe, every now and again pulling his teeth over it.

“You’re so hot, Kurt. I love you so much. But not just because you’re my beautiful boy, but because you are bright and witty and trusting, even though I know it’s not easy.” Kurt tried not to thrust up, moaning beneath him as Blaine slid his own pants off, kicking them away deftly, keeping his hand on Kurt until he could spread his legs, and slid in between them, lowering himself down.

Kurt keened when he felt Blaine’s jutting cock on his own, and Blaine leaned down to kiss his collar bone over and over until he relaxed, thrusting lazily, happily.

“I’m glad I can tell you. I love you, I love you, I love you.” Blaine said, smiling hugely. Kurt wished he could wrap an arm around his neck and pull him up to his lips to kiss him. He settled for panting Blaine’s name, nodding frantically as if to agree with his sentiment. He couldn’t help it anymore- he thrusted up, and Blaine allowed it- in fact, he flung one of Kurt’s legs over his hip and redoubled his efforts, lapping at the patch of skin where his shoulder met his neck.

“Come whenever you would like.” He said at long length, and Kurt tossed his head to the side, and Blaine used his mouth to take advantage of the new skin that had been revealed, breathing Kurt in, thrusting slow and gently where Kurt was fast and desperate, and for once, Kurt wished that Blaine could fall apart faster and looked forward to getting on his knees for Blaine and making him writhe.

He came hard at that thought, and the look on his face helped Blaine to follow shortly after. Blaine untied him first, and then grabbed the washcloth on the bedside table and cleaned them up, his movements lackadaisical and his countenance quiet. He pulled the duvet over himself and Kurt when he finished, smiling, as the last time they’d been in this bed were for reasons totally different, but exactly the same.

So glad you decided to post this here, it's much easier to read. Love this story. Blaine bestows upon Kurt such love and tenderness and patience that I find myself reading this with an almost dreamy smile on my face. I love it, I love how Kurt is becoming more trusting and how Blaine seems to know exactly what to give Kurt to show his awe and appreciation. Fab, can't wait for more.

Oh my god, you guessed exactly what next chapter is like.

This is very well written. I'm looking forward to see how Blaine's job and fame impact their relationship. I can just see tabloids getting Max to spill all the details.

Okay I must establish that when I read on livejournal you post on here now I flipped out! Haha! I am so excited to continue reading on here, it will be so much easier to keep track of! So excited to read more on these characters, they are absolutely amazing!
