Author's Notes:

Hope you find this chapter amusing.

Since Mondays meeting, Blaine and Kurt had texted a few times back and forth.  First Blaine confirmed that he and Joshua would attend dinner and then exchanged a few random texts about dinner.  Blaine had told Joshua of meeting Kurt.  He omitted Kurts declaration of wanting to get back together the first night.  Joshua had asked if he was alright, and he admitted that it was first uncomfortable, but that he fine. Joshua was really an understanding person and he just listened as Blaine fumbled with an explanation of why he wanted to just placate his friends and go to dinner.  Joshua just politely said yes and changed the subject to ease Blaines nerves and helped him relax during dinner and the movies with light conversation and his warm humor.

Kurts stomach was in knots as Friday approached.  So many times he wanted to call or text Blaine.  Now that he was so close he just wanted to see him and spend time with him.  He spent his days helping his dad in the shop and hanging out with Brittany at the dance studio.  Elliot has been working on getting Kurt out of his comfort zone and exposing himself to different types of dance and music.  During their Friday night therapy sessions, as they were, he and Elliot would just let loose and have fun.  He missed Elliot, he had spoken to him a few times since he left.  They kept the conversation light, he told him he met up with Blaine and that he was still just trying to reconnect.  Elliot was patient as always and lent a friendly ear.

Friday came and Rachel set the table as Kurt brought in the dishes he prepared.  He considered making Chicken Alfredo, but he did not want to be too obvious.  He settled on Vegetable Lasagna, still one of Blaines favorites. The door rings and Rachel gets it.

"The party has arrived! I see you and Kurt have finally decided to make it official and pursue bearded domestic life together," Santana chimes has she and Brittany enter the dining room.

"Very funny Santana, Ive missed your colorful wit," Rachel says as Santana and Brittany find a seat in the living room.

"So where are your Dads, I was sure wed find them mooning over you as you try to serenade us with a Rachel Berry show stopper before dinner," Santana says as she tries to reach for the bread and Kurt hits her hand.

"Friday nights are their date nights.  They went out for a show and dinner, but Id be happy to perform an after dinner song for you if you like," Rachel says with all seriousness.

"So, Juliet, what do you have in store for winning back Romeo?" Santana says to Kurt with a knowing smile.

"I dont have any elaborate plan Santana.  Tonight is just a friendly dinner to meet Blaines new ‘friend."  Kurt says, unwilling to call Joshua Blaines boyfriend.

"So sizing him up huh?  I dont know Lady Lips, youre pretty, but this guy is hella hot!"

Kurt gives her a haughty look and rolled his eyes. He straighten his collar.  "Please" he thought to himself. This guy has no idea who he is up against.

The door knocks and this time Kurt goes to get it, he had been getting anxious and just wanted to start the night.   He opens the door and all he could focus on was him.  No, not Blaine this time, HIM.  He was ridiculously stunning.  Tall, blond, muscular, and did he sparkle?  "You got to be kidding me? Kurt thought to himself.  Joshua wore a light blue collar shirt with a navy jacket and slacks.  The guy looked like he walked around with his own personal wind effect that just blew to move his hair just in the right flowy way like in the movies.  Blaine wore a black jacket and burgundy Henley shirt button down a bit to expose his golden skin.  He looked laid back and handsome.  They made a cute couple.  This was going to be a long night.

"Hey look Thor is here!  Hes my favorite Avenger," Brittany says excitedly as Blaine and Joshua walk in.

Ah, thought Kurt.  Thats who he looks like.  Blaine always did like Chris Hemsworth more than his liking. "Well isnt that just great," he thought sarcastically.

"Yeah Brit, maybe we can see Wonder Woman and him duke it out tonight," Santana says and Kurt gives her a deadly looked.

Rachel walks in the room from the kitchen. "Oh my" she says involuntarily as she sees Joshua and looks at Kurt with bugged out eyes.

Rachel greets Blaine and gives him a hug and extends her hand to Joshua.  "Hello, Im Rachel Berry.  Im sure Blaine has told you all about me.  Its a pleasure to meet you."

"You too Rachel and yes I have heard a lot about you.  Ive seen your show and you are fantastic.  I actually was able to catch you as Fannie Brice on Broadway before you left.  I cant imagine they recovered from such a lost." Joshua says with a dazzling smile.

Rachel beamed and linked arms with him and led him to the dining table.  "Why thank you Joshua, sounds like you are a man with impeccable taste."

Kurt rolled his eyes.  So much for being his partner in crime.  He should have known that Rachel Berry would be a wild card and could be easily wooed with compliments.  This guy was going to be more a challenge then he thought.

"I brought some pastries I made fresh today, I hope you like them" Joshua says as he laid his box of treats on the table.

Rachel thanks Joshua and walks over to take her seat next to Kurt and gives him a look that Kurt knew meant "Oh, my God he is gorgeous" with sorry eyes.

"So, Joshua how do you like working at the Grand Hotel? "Rachel tries to break the silence a bit after a while.

"Its nice, I love getting the experience working with other great chefs, the hours are kind of difficult, especially now that I have Blaine in my life" Joshua gently takes Blaines hand as he speaks and Kurt takes a sip of his water to keep his food down.

"So, Kurt, Blaine tells me that you work for Vogue.  That is very impressive work to have especially going to school like NYADA, which must be difficult."

"Its a lot of work, but I have learned that its not the most important thing in the world.  Ive learned to try to have a better balance with my personal life," Kurt says giving Blaine a brief look.

Blaine tries to change the subject "So Brit, hows the wedding planning coming along?"

"Oh, its great, Kurt is helping me with the details.  I only wish we could arrange some live music.  Maybe we can get your old band to do some performances Tana?"

Santana smiles warmly at Brittany.  Despite not such a fan of all the wedding planning, she loved seeing how happy it made Brittany and would do anything to make her happy.

"Well, Im not sure where Dani is these days, but we got Kurt and Rachel, that would just leave Elliot?"  Santana says.

"Well, Im sure we can get Elliot, hed do anything for Kurt," Rachel blurts out and Kurt gives her a good kick under the table.  She looks at Kurt shocked and offended.

"How is Elliot?" Blaine says picking up on the weird vibe between Rachel and Kurt.

"Hes fine" Kurt says quickly.

"So you two are still performing?" Santana asks inquisitively, more so because she was a bit jealous that they were still performing after they dismantled the group.

"Not really, I mean, we did for a charity event in March and here and there for a community center Elliot volunteers with.  I go sometimes with him when he works with the kids."

Blaine tries hard not to roll his eyes.  Elliot was always the knight in shining armor wasnt he.  Im sure he swooped in to help Kurt during his time of distress he thought to himself. Ever the true blue friend ready to give advice.

"Anyway, well send him an invitation to the wedding and maybe you could talk to him about performing at the wedding Kurt," Brittany says.

"Sure, Ill ask him Brit." Kurt says, focusing on his plate hoping someone would change the subject.

Dinner ended and everyone sat for a while in the living room.  Brittany prattled on about crazy ideas for the wedding. Rachel talked about her time on the show highlighting her achievements.  Kurt tried his best not to stare at Joshua as he puts his arm around Blaines waist when they sat down or when he would hold his hand as he spoke.  Blaine and Kurt spoke very little except to answer direct questions.

"So babe, I think we should get going" Joshua says to Blaine. "Im sorry guys, I have an early shift at the hotel tomorrow."

"Babe" Kurt thought to himself.  He always hated that term of endearment.  He and Blaine had used "Baby" intimately sometimes, but he always hated Babe, now more than ever.

"No thats fine, it was great meeting you Joshua, and I hope we can see more of you during our visit here," Rachel says and Kurt gives her a stinging look basically telling her to shut up.

"I hope so Rachel.  It was nice meeting you Kurt."

Kurt extends his hand, "Its been a pleasure Joshua."

Rachel gives Blaine a hug and Kurt does so as well, holding on maybe a few seconds too long.  He whispers low so only Blaine can hear "Dont be a stranger."  Blaine nods his head and he and Joshua leaves.

"Well, Lucy and Ethel, if you are going to get Ricky back in the fold, you are going to have to have to do some serious scheming," Santana says to Kurt and Rachel with a laugh.

Kurt flops on the couch exhausted from the night.  Rachel reaches for one of Joshuas cookies.

Right before Rachel takes a bite Kurt says "If you dont drop that cookie Rachel Berry Ill be sure to strangle you in your sleep tonight."

Rachel drops the cookie "Im stress eating Kurt, what the hell are we going to do?!  He is absolutely charming!

"I dont know Rachel, I honestly dont know."
