The month was slow for Kurt. He became more serious with Chandler and eventually they officially became boyfriends, and he thought he wouldn’t see Blaine or Danielle but boy was he wrong. He was just finishing up his shift at Starbucks, when Kurt was given an order he recognized for the most part.
“I have a grande Caramel Frappuccino with two shots of caramel and a medium drip with cinnamon for Danielle.” Kurt said turning to set the coffees on the counter and ended up looking into hazel eyes identical to the ones that broke his heart only a month ago.
“Can I talk to you?” Danielle asked picking up the coffees.
“I’m on shift. I will be for a couple hours” Kurt lied smoothly, not wanting to interact with either of the Anderson siblings.
“Bullshit.” Danielle told him frankly and he frowned. “I know you get off in five minutes. Please Kurt, it’s really important.” Danielle looked Kurt in the eyes pleading.
“Fine, get a table. We’ll talk in a few minutes” Danielle smiled and took the coffees to an empty table as Kurt sighed, disappointed at his lack of will power. ’It’s those eyes. They’re my kryptonite, especially when they’re Blaine’s. he thought sadly. A few minutes later Kurt walked over to the table Dani had claimed and sat down.
“Okay, what’s up?” Kurt asked sitting in the chair opposite of the youngest Anderson sibling.
“Blaine’s torn up over what happened between you two. He doesn’t know I'm here, but I want to try and fix it. I called some of his friends from back in Westerville, they’re with him right now on set but when they arrived at our house, I could tell he’s still upset even though he said he was fine.” She explained.
“Danielle, that’s sweet you're trying to help, but this is between Blaine and I. It doesn’t matter. He can fix it and he knows how but he refuses.” Kurt said calmly avoiding Danielle’s judging gaze.
“He has an interview tomorrow.” Danielle stated “It’s the first one he’s been asked to sing on and it’s live. He’s freaking out, and I know it would mean a lot to him if you watched.”
‘”Who’s the interviewer?” Kurt asked without thinking.
“Ellen DeGeneres.”
“Okay, my boyfriend loves her and Blaine, so I’ll watch when I go over to his apartment tomorrow…” Kurt thought aloud, not noticing Danielle’s face fall when he said the word ‘boyfriend’.
“Okay, I better go. Blaine’s drip must be getting cold.” Danielle told Kurt, picking up the coffees she bought and silently took note of the pale boy’s fa�ade of happiness.

“Hey, dude, we have something to tell you.” Nick Duvall, one of Blaine’s best friends from Dalton told him.
“We do?” Jeffrey Sterling, Blaine’s other best friend and Nick’s significant other asked, not bothering to try and hide his near-constant confusion.
“Yea, we do” Nick told his forgetful boyfriend while throwing him a look Blaine couldn’t decode.
“Oh yea, we do!” Jeff remembered, getting up to the couch, smirking mischievously at Blaine with Nick following suit. Blaine looked at them confused from the counter he was sitting on.
“I think we should be able to talk about your sexuality.” Nick started and Blaine’s jaw dropped.
“I-I’m not gay. This conversation is over” he told his friends quickly.
“But Blaine…” Jeff said suspiciously innocent.
“Over” Blaine snapped a little too harshly.
“Okay, but just so you know….” Jeff started before Nick started singing.

”If you were gay,
That would be okay,
I mean cause, hey,
We’d like you anyways” Nick sang with a smile, causing Blaine to roll his eyes.
because you see,
When it was me,
I just felt free to say,
That I was gay” Nick kept singing
But I’m not gay” Blaine cut in, staring at his friends for a few seconds before Jeff started singing the second verse.
“If you were queer,
We’d still be here,
Year after year,
Because you're dear to us,
And we know that you,
Had accepted us too” Jeff sang,
“I did? ” Blaine asked jokingly, feigning surprise.
”When we told you that day,
‘Hey guess what, we’re gay!’”
“But I’m not gay! ” Blaine said loudly, but was ignored by both of his friends, who kept serenading him about his secret sexuality.
“We’re happy,
Just being with you”
“So what should it matter to us,
What you do in bed with guys?” Jeff asked looking innocent in such a way that terrified Blaine.
“That is wrong!” Blaine lied, trying to keep up his ruse.
“No it’s not!” Nick exclaimed faking outrage.
“If you were gay,
We’d shout ‘hooray!’” Jeff sang, trying not to burst out laughing at Blaine's disproving face.
“And here we’d stay,
But we wouldn’t get in your way.
You can count on me” Nick continued
“And me!” Jeff spoke up quickly
“To always be
Besides you everyday
To tell you ‘it’s okay’” Nick kept singing before Jeff joined in for a final harmony.
“You were just born that way
And as they say:
‘It’s in your DNA’
You're gay.”
“I’m not gay! ” Blaine shouted exasperated.
“If you were gay .” Jeff told Blaine smiling, with extra emphasis on the word ‘were’. Blaine checked the time on his phone then jumped off the counter he was sitting on, not hiding his disturbance.
“I need to go; it’s almost my call time. Thanks for that, um, lovely song” Blaine said then strolled out of the trailer.
“Danielle will be pleased” Nick said before he embraced his blonde boyfriend, kissing him softly on the lip with a smile, as soon as the door to Blaine's trailer closed behind them.
