Author's Notes: Time for a little brother fluff. =)
Blaine walked into his brother’s classroom after school, spying him sitting at his desk grading papers.

“Hey, Coop?” Cooper’s head shot up to look at his younger brother at his door.

“What’s up, Blainers?”

“Kurt wants to go to David’s funeral.” That definitely caught Cooper off guard.

“He does? Why?”

“Well, in his defense, he did date the guy for, like, six months. But…I just don’t see how it’d be good for him to go.”

“How should I know?”

“Hmm, let’s think, you teach psychology?”

“Oh yeah. Um…I dunno, dude, I guess it’s a closure thing. I mean, he stayed with this guy for so long, even though it was an abusive relationship. I would assume that despite that, he did feel really close to him.”

“I guess, but…with how upset he was when we went to the hospital…I don’t want him to go through that again.” Cooper put his pen down and concentrated fully on Blaine.

“You worried about your relationship with him? Like, you’re a rebound or something?”

“No no no, I know I’m not a rebound or anything. I’m perfectly confident in that. I know that he…I mean, its too early to say that he loves me, but he does really like me. It’s him I’m worried about. Coop…I seriously think he blames himself for-”

“But he had to break up with him, or David would’ve ended up killing him. And, God, if you hadn’t showed up when David came to his house afterwards and protected him and called the cops? He would be dead right now.”

“I know…I know…” Blaine sat on a desk near his brother’s. “Coop…I’m going to go with him to the funeral. I’m not letting him go by himself, because I’m sure that some of his friends will be there and I don’t even want to know what would happen there.”

“Definitely.”

“Would you come with us?” Cooper looked surprised. He looked at his Blaine’s face, his eyes red from lack of sleep. All he could see was his little brother. He didn’t see the seventeen year old that sat before him. He saw the seven year old that he gave piggy back rides to and watched cartoons with. He saw him the first time he brought one of his little friends over and the two kids had ambushed him with water balloons in the backyard. He saw him laughing his squeaky little laugh that was always absolutely adorable. When he saw his brother now, basically a grown man, with tired eyes and dapper features, it made him want those days back.

“Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. But…why me?” His brother smiled at him.

“Because I know I can count on you if anything does happen…the things I’m anticipating…” Blaine watched Cooper stand up from his desk and stride toward him, his confidence beaming as usual. He watched as his brother put his hands on his shoulders.

“Don’t worry. Ok? We’ll go to the funeral, and it’ll all be over with.” Blaine nodded, and smiled when his big brother hugged him.
