“Ow, mom, mom, this isn’t working. OW!” The man said, clearly suffocating and arched downward so awkwardly it appeared to be painful. “Ow, short. Woman. Ow. Pain. Short. Ow.” Blaine stood up suddenly.
“Cooper, why did they let you back in this school??!”
“Ow, teaching, ow, OW!”
“Why did they let you back into this school, with authority?!!!” Drita finally gave up her hold on his tie. Cooper Anderson stretched to his full height.
“Dunno. My charming disposition?” Blaine walked up to his older brother, glowering.
“What. About. The beagle.” Mr. Dresden answered.
“Oh, we hid the beagle.”
“What about a beagle?” Burt was sufficiently confused. Kurt looked up at his father standing behind him.
“I don’t know, and I don’t want to know. And from what Blaine has told me about Cooper, I would not advise asking.” Copper gaze jumped to Kurt.
“Ahhh, so your Kurt?” Before Kurt could answer, Cooper attacked, pulling Kurt into a huge hug.
“AH!” Kurt was definitely taken by surprise. Cooper started talking to Blaine, still hugging Kurt.
“Blainers, why didn’t you tell me he was so cute?” Blaine saw Kurt freaking out internally.
“Don’t call me that. And get off him. He’s mine, not yours.”
“I don’t care!” He squeezed Kurt tighter, who started to wriggle in his grip.
“Get him off, get him off, can’t breath, get him off.” Cooper let go, smiling.
“Like I really would’ve choked you.” Kurt stared at Cooper, looking him up and down, tilting his head slightly. All was silent for a minute.
“Ok, he come back.” Cooper laughed and hugged him again. Blaine looked at them, wide-eyed. Kurt laughed. “Just be happy I get along with your brother, Blainers.” Blaine shrugged. He pointed at his face.
“See this? See this? Unamused face.” Kurt and Cooper both laughed, knowing that Blaine was joking. Kurt took a moment to gaze a Cooper, also glancing at Blaine and his mom.
“Y’know…I really like the Anderson genes…” Unbeknownst to anyone else in the room, Mr. Dresden had put Blaine and Kurt’s schedule into the computer already, printing them each a copy. He handed it to them, and they lit up when the saw that their dorm room number was the same.
“Ok, boys, here’s your schedules. Your dorm number is in the top left corner. You two ok with rooming together? We don’t exactly have any extra roommates running about.” They nodded, trying not to show their extreme approval…and failing.
“Oooohhhhh, wanky!” Cooper smiled in the corner of the room while the two boys looked at him and blushed. Drita hit him. “Ow! Y’know, mom, strength usually diminishes with age, not increases.” Blaine snapped.
“What do you even teach anyway?!” Cooper smiled.
“English and Psychology.” Kurt and Blaine exchanged glances. Kurt was smiling, Blaine not so much.
“You have got to be kidding me…”

Right after leaving the meeting, Blaine and Kurt were driving back to Kurt’s house to pack. The plan was Kurt’s house, Blaine’s house, then back to Dalton, but whether or not that plan would stand was yet to be seen.
“Blaine, why are you so upset that your brother is teaching?” Blaine sighed.
“Its not that I don’t love my brother, I do. He’s a great guy. But being around him all the time, in a classroom, with me having to listen to him trying to be serious just isn‘t going to work.”
“I guess you do have a point. If Finn was my teacher and I had to listen to him I think I’d kill someone.” They were both silent for a minute, but bust out laughing. The thought of Finn being a teacher was an outrageous idea. Kurt thought he knew of some other reason that Blaine wasn’t to pleased with Cooper being there. “Y’know, as sexy as your brother is, I’d never cheat on you with him or anything.” That made Blaine smile.
“I mean, part of me knows that that would never happen because he is straight. Strange, childish, and…did I mention strange? But he is straight. Just what happened in there made me wanna throw him out the window.” Kurt laughed, mainly because he could absolutely picture Blaine picking his brother up and tossing him out the large bay window of the office they were in. They were still laughing and talking when they pulled into the driveway of Kurt’s house. Burt and Carole had told them that they were going out, but Finn was home. They walked into the house and Finn was, not surprisingly, sitting on the couch watching the baseball game.
“So, mom and Burt told me what happened. Congrats on making it.” Kurt smiled.
“Thanks.” Finn looked at Blaine with a sympathetic look.
“Good luck on sharing a room with him. Was always hell for me.”
“Well, Finn, calling everything I own ‘faggy’ wasn’t exactly a good place to start on your part.” Blaine smiled at Finn.
“I think I’ll manage, thanks.” He turned to Kurt. “You have a suitcase or something we can use?” Finn barked a laugh.
“A suitcase? Please! He has a whole matching set of luggage!” Blaine smiled, but not because of what Finn had said. He smiled because of the highly unamused look on Kurt’s face.
“C’mon, Blaine.” Kurt led Blaine up to his bedroom, taking his suitcases out of the closet. “I’m sorry about Finn. He’s not exactly…well, he doesn’t think before he talks.”
“I get it. Cooper can be like that, as you saw.” Kurt opened his closet and started handing clothes to Blaine to fold. “You have a very diverse wardrobe.” Kurt smiled.
“I hope that’s diverse in a good way.”
“Oh, absolutely.” Blaine smiled at him, and the two kept folding clothes and putting them into Kurt’s many suitcases. They finished rather quickly, considering the amount of clothes Kurt possessed. When they went to leave again, Kurt was happy to see that Finn had gone to football practice.
“So, off to your house?”
“Yeah, but all we have to do is pick my stuff up. I figured I’d save us some time, so I packed last night when I got home.”
“Look at you being all prepared.” Blaine smiled.
“Yeah, well. Seriously though, In figured it would give us time to settle in in the dorm and everything. You wanna try to come home every weekend?”
“That sounds good. That way we get time with each other and time with everyone else.”
“Yep. And that way you can still hang out with your friends from McKinley.” Kurt smiled, thinking about his friends from glee club. Mercedes and Quinn and Artie and Puck…the thought of leaving them depressed him a little, but he knew it was in his best interest. It wasn’t long until they parked in Blaine’s driveway. They got out of the car and Kurt followed Blaine up to his room, where on his bed sat his suitcases.
“Sure, and you made fun of me for having so many suitcases! You have just as many!” Blaine laughed.
“Well, I do have a reputation to keep up.” Kurt smiled and kissed Blaine before they picked up the suitcases and took them out to the car. The backseat was piled high with luggage by the time both of them had theirs in the car. It would have been easier if Kurt had his own, but he used his dad’s car when he didn’t need it. Blaine’s, on the other hand, was his.
They set of back the other way to Dalton. Kurt had to admit, he was excited, but nervous. They would start their classes tomorrow. It helped having Blaine around, since he had gone to Dalton and knew everyone.
The time from Blaine’s house to Dalton seemed to fly by, the two of them laughing and joking the whole way there. When they arrived, Blaine immediately saw a few people he must’ve known from the Warblers, because they were psyched to see him. So he drafted them to help carry his and Kurt’s stuff up to their room.
“My God, dude, what do you have in here? Bricks?” Kurt laughed at the comment.
“Guys, this is Kurt, by the way. Kurt, this is Nick and Jeff.” The two of them nodded at Kurt, who waved with his one free hand.
“So, Anderson, your gonna join Warblers again, right?” Nick asked. Jeff piped in as well.
“Yeah, we’ve missed that voice of yours. Y’know, the guys who kept asking and asking for your solos really don’t have what it takes after all.” Blaine and Nick laughed. Kurt looked at Blaine, confused.
“So you were the Rachel here?” Now it was Nick and Jeff’s turn to be confused, and Blaine had a good laugh at their expressions.
“Yeah, kinda.” He turned to Nick and Jeff. “Rachel was the New Directions girl who got every solo.”
“Oooooohhhhhh.” Nick and Jeff chimed in unison. Nick continued. “Then, yeah, that’s him. But after he’s been gone, I don’t think anybody here is gonna want them anymore. We’re all perfectly pleased with harmonies.”
Blaine unlocked their dorm room with the key he and Kurt had been given, and when he opened the door Kurt gasped. The room was beautiful, looking just like the rest of the building in their own little space. It was incredible. And so big. Kurt had been expecting a little tiny room with two beds. But what he got was a huge room with two beds, a couch, TV, desks, their own bathroom, and even a tiny personal kitchen. Each of their beds was enclosed in separate room even bigger than the one Kurt had at home. The dorm itself was like a two-bedroom apartment.
“So. Which room do you want?” Kurt was snapped out of his head by Blaine’s question.
“Um…whichever. They’re both beautiful.” Blaine smiled and put his suitcases in one of the rooms. Kurt heard him talking to Nick and Jeff while he looked around his room. He saw his new Dalton uniforms laying on his bed, but that’s not what caught his attention. There was a huge window on the wall next to his bed. He walked over to the window and gaped at the view. It was above a gorgeous courtyard lined with picnic tables and trees surrounded by colorful plants all surrounding a pond in the center, full of lily pads and goldfish. In the distance, he could see tennis and basketball courts, a football field, a soccer field, a baseball field, and even a huge outdoor pool just slightly bigger than the indoor one he saw on his visit. Blaine popped his head in knocking on the door.
“Liking the view?”
“Its…incredible.”
“Yeah. This was my dorm room when I was here. The guy I roomed with graduated, but he and I both always adored this view. The one from my room is just as good.” He walked up closer behind Kurt. “You want some help unpacking?”
“Um…no, I think I’m good. You go do your stuff. I’ll call you if I need anything.” Blaine kissed him on the cheek.
“Ok.” He turned and walked out of the bedroom, leaving Kurt by himself. He stared out the window to the beautiful view for a few more minutes, trying to take everything in. Eventually he made his way over to his bed and opened his suitcases, beginning to unpack. He lined his new, very large closet with all his clothes. Which he was very impressed with. All his clothes never fit in his closet at home. He always had no choice but to use the dresser for clothes that really weren’t meant for a dresser. He heard Blaine turn on the TV in the living room, because he didn’t have near as much stuff as Kurt did. Most of Blaine’s luggage was things other than clothes: books, movies, assorted electronics. Kurt was amazed at how little of what Blaine had brought with him was clothes. Blaine had assured him that it was all he needed, which had amazed Kurt even more.
Eventually Kurt finished unpacking and joined Blaine on the couch. Blaine was sitting with his arms stretched out on the back of the couch and his legs bent on the couch beside him when Kurt came out of his room. Kurt sat in the space between Blaine’s legs and the back of the couch, so that his legs were over Blaine’s, and laid his head on Blaine’s outstretched shoulder. Blaine looked over at him and smiled. They sat like that for a while, just silently watching TV.
Kurt blushed when his stomach growled a while later. Blaine laughed and began to get up. “What would you like to eat?” Kurt started to get up too.
“I can get it.” Blaine gently urged him back down onto the couch, smiling.
“What. Do you want. To eat.” Kurt gave up, knowing he wasn’t going to win. Not with Blaine as the opponent.
“Um…not sure. What do they have?” Blaine walked over to the fridge and opened it.
“Let’s see…we have stuff for sandwiches, eggs, vegetables, salad dressing…” He walked over and opened an overhead cabinet. “In here we got some canned soup, fruit, and various canned fake pastas.” Kurt laughed.
“How about some soup.”
“Chicken noodle, tomato, potato, broccoli cheese-”
“Chicken noodle sounds good.” Blaine opened the can and made himself and Kurt some soup. He brought the bowls into the living room, handing Kurt one of them.
“Here ya go. Courtesy of Campbell’s.” Kurt smiled and took the bowl. Kurt didn’t even know what they were watching anymore. He did know it was something that he had no interest in at the moment. Blaine apparently felt the same way, picking up the remote and changing the channel. “Anything specific you wanna watch?”
“I’m in a movie mood.”
“What movie? I brought…Sound of Music, Hairspray, Iron Man, 300...and a bunch of other stuff that I can’t remember.”
“…y’know, I’ve never seen Iron Man, but I’ve been told that I should. So why not.” Blaine looked at him, confused.
“Really?” Kurt nodded. “Wow, ok. Sorry, I just never thought you’d want to watch Iron Man.” Kurt laughed.
“Hey, I heard its funny! Bring it!” Blaine got up from the couch smiling and walked into his room, returning seconds later with the DVD. He knelt in front of the very large television set to reach the DVD player below. He sat down next to Kurt, feeling his smile grow wider as Kurt cuddled in next to him again like they had been before, kissing the top of his head while the opening credits ran.
They spent the entirety of the movie like that. Much to Blaine’s surprise, Kurt certainly seemed to enjoy it, sometimes spending entire scenes laughing hysterically. He even fell off the couch at one point. Blaine, of course, asked him if he was ok before he started laughing. Always the gentleman.
They fell asleep there, laying together on the couch, Kurt’s arms tangled around Blaine. Neither woke until the next morning, hearing both of their alarm clocks go off. They looked at each other and laughed.
