Blaine looked over at his mom when Kurt shut the bathroom door. She just looked at him, smiling. This was part of the reason she knew everything about him. She just knew how to read everybody. He laughed, just seeing her face so curious for details.

“So?”

“So what?” Blaine knew exactly what she was asking…but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to make her work for the information she quite obviously craved.

“How long?”

“You’re going to have to be more specific.”

“How long have you had a boyfriend that I didn’t now about?” Blaine looked at his watch.

“Umm…about an hour.” They heard the water turn on in the shower down the hall. “He just broke up with David today during gym class. And before you even say it, no, I’m not a rebound.” She looked worried.

“How can you be sure?” Blaine looked at her, her faced lined with worry. Worry over her son having his heart broken. Blaine put a hand on his mother’s shoulder.

“Because. You didn’t see how he kissed me today.” Just as he knew it would, his mother’s face lit up and she threw her arms around him.

“Really? He did??” Blaine laughed.

“Yeah. Like he said, he’s just been pushing me away, but…I don’t know, I guess he just had a change of heart.” And a very fortunate one at that, Blaine added mentally.

“Still, I want you to be careful.” Blaine smiled at her.

“Always.” Kurt’s cell phone rang in his jacket pocket. Blaine picked it up, seeing it was from Kurt’s house, probably his dad. Blaine answered. “Hello?”

“Where is my son?”

“He’s in the shower. He’s fine.”

“I want to know what happened. Now.”

“Mr. Hummel, it’s not really my place to say-”

“Blaine Anderson, I don’t know who you are, but if you don’t tell me what happened to my son I will hunt you down and hang your head next to the deer on my wall.” Blaine’s eyes grew wide.

“Um…ok, then. Well, Kurt broke up with David today at school. Then after school, about an hour ago actually, Kurt texted me asking me to come over. When he heard a car pull up, he went outside because he thought it was me, and it was David.” Blaine jumped when he heard a bang from the other end of the phone, assuming Kurt’s dad punched something. And hearing his voice afterwards pretty much confirmed his suspicion.

“What did that little bastard prick do?!”

“He, um…” Blaine sighed. May as well just say it and get it over with. “He beat the hell out of him and tried to rape him.” Blaine worried when it got frighteningly quiet on the other line. “Um…Mr. Hummel?”

“I want. To talk. To my son…Now.”

“He’s, uh, in the…in the shower, uh, right now. But, um, feel free to…come over if you want?”

“Address.”

“Um…uh…um…” Blaine began to ramble unsure for a moment of his address. Burt Hummel was one hell of an intimidating man. Blaine’s mom chuckled and took the phone from Blaine.

“Mr. Hummel? This is Blaine’s mom Drita. I know you’re worried about your son, but he’s in the shower right now. We live at 8206, Squirrel Street. Come on over, and I guarantee you Kurt will be out of the shower when you get here.”

“I’ll be there in five minutes.”

“Ok.”

“…I appreciate you taking care of him.” Drita smiled.

“No problem.” They hung up, and she turned to her son. “He’ll be here in five minutes.” Blaine looked confused.

“It’s a ten minute drive.”

“Not this time.”

Kurt turned off the water to the shower and grabbed his towel from off the sink. As he started to dry off, he swore he heard Blaine talking, but not to his mother. He was on the phone. A few minutes later, he heard Blaine’s mother’s voice.

“Mr. Hummel? This is Blaine’s mom Drita…”

Drita. That’s a cool name, Kurt thought to himself. Wait…crap, she was talking to his dad. And he was coming here.

He dried off and dressed in record time and came out of the bathroom, literally running into Blaine, who was walking down the hallway.

“Oh, sorry.” Blaine laughed, making Kurt smile.

“No, no, my bad. So…my dad’s coming?”

“Yeah, he’s on his way. I gotta say, he really cares about you. He’s so worried.” Kurt looked surprised.

“He is?” Blaine looked confused.

“Yeah. He pretty much legit threatened me to make me tell him what happened then demanded my address when I wouldn’t give the phone to you because you were in the shower.” For a minute, Kurt couldn’t help but smile. He hadn’t realized how long it had been since he felt like Burt’s son.

“How long do I have to prepare myself?” They heard an urgent knock on the door. A very loud, urgent knock.

“Umm…I’d say not long.” Blaine went to go answer the door, somewhat afraid of the lunatic he would find on the other side, judging by who he’d spoken to on the phone. He opened the door to find a bald, slightly tubby man. His face, however, made him very intimidating.

“Where is my son?” Because the question was sort of loud, Kurt heard him from the couch in the living room.

“I’m in the living room, dad!” Burt pushed past Blaine, who shut the door and followed him. He walked into his living room to find Mr. Hummel on the couch next to Kurt, his hand on his son’s shoulder.

“Are you ok?” Kurt nodded.

End Notes: My friend came up with Blaine's mom's name. I don't know.
