Kurt stopped dancing and blinked purposefully at the apparition in front of him, but it wouldn't disappear. This can't actually be Blaine, can it? Kurt felt like he was looking at him from the bottom of a deep pool, he could feel the distance between them even if he couldn't see it.
Kurt couldn't help but imagine a comic in his head. The setting is a gay bar with a disco ball. Little speech bubbles from random party-goers say things like "heteroflexible" and "queer as folk" and "gay-diddy-gay gay gay." Blaine, about six feet tall, approaches an even taller, muscly blonde with warm brown eyes on the dance floor. They are both wearing leather pants and wife beaters. Their eyes meet, smoldering, as a speech bubble appears above Blaine. "Nice ass. I mean pants. Nice pants." His blonde dance partner laughs, "hehe." No, no that wasn't masculine enough. How about "Heh." Yeah that works better. Blondie has Blaine pressed against the wall. They are making out and grinding together passionately.
This is where their clothes would usually start coming off in most of the comics under Kurt's bed. He isn't rooting for them quite as much tonight, though, soBlondie's hand gets stuck in Blaine's hair gel and he grimaces, making his warm brown eyes look less warm. The speech bubble above Blondie's head says "Ew..."
Blaine giggles, as if he had just seen what was in Kurt's head. But things like that weren't actually possible, right? It brings Kurt back into the present.. He opens and closes his mouth a few times, as if gulping for air in the imagined body of water between them. Until he finally settles on "What?"
"Hi Kurt," Blaine's smile starts to take over his face.
"What?"
"My name is Bl-"
"WHAT?!"
"Kurt, calm down, people are looking at you." Blaine stopped smiling.
"Us, you mean. People are looking at us."
"No Kurt, they can only see you."

They are sitting next to each other on the bed upstairs in Rachel's guest room, the music barely audible. Kurt isn't exactly paralyzed with fear, but he doesn't know how to begin. His wet dreams personified is sitting next to him. On a bed. In real life. He wonders if he is dreaming this moment, but the light scratch of Blaine's fingernails on the back of his neck sending shivers down his spine feels pretty real.
Blaine had taken his hand, silently, and he had followed him up the stairs, despite the unfamiliar way his palms had been sweating. Maybe he could start with a question. "Blaine are you real?"
Blaine replied laughing, "Do I feel real?"
Kurt was not satisfied with this answer. He tried again. "Did I create you?"
Blaine maddeningly responded with another question. "Does it look like you did?"
"No, you're shorter than I drew you."
Blaine laughed again. That was getting pretty frustrating, actually. Was Blaine laughing AT him? Kurt got up and walked toward the door. This was a little too much for him. He was ready to come up for air now. As his hand began to turn the doorknob, Blaine shouted "Wait! Wait, don't go yet. This room is...for us. If you leave it, tonight will be...over."
Kurt thought that maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea for tonight to be over. This was getting too weird. But the look on Blaine's face was suddenly desperate, as if he was about to do something stupid and dangerous. Kurt didn't like stupid or dangerous things. "Okay," Kurt whispered, "I'll stay and swim with you for a little while tonight." He pushed Blaine onto his back on the bed, covered Blaine's clothed form with his own, and kissed his lips and his neck for a good 20 minutes before leaving Blaine panting on the bed and going back downstairs.

Rachel pounced on him the moment he entered the basement, demanding to know why he had missed her solo.
"I was upstairs...drawing?" Kurt replied uncertainly. "Here I'll make you a drink to make it up to you." As Kurt filled the shaker with ice, vodka, and pink lemonade, he recalled that he hadn't actually had a drink yet that night. He made himself something blue and rippling, squinting his eyes a bit to see if Blaine's face would appear in the glass. It didn't.
