“Hey Blaine,” Wes sat down next to his friend. “What’s up?”
“Kurt’s not answering.” Blaine mumbled, staring at the screen. “I haven’t spoken to him in days, I tried calling him and he hasn’t answered, I’ve texted him and I’ve got nothing. He hates me Wes.”
“Okay Blaine, I’m going to say this and I want you to listen, because it comes from a place of caring. Snap out of this funk, if you want Kurt go and see him.” Wes said to his friend, hoping that he would listen because he couldn’t take the “I miss Kurt” playlist.
“I suppose you’re right. I need to see him, we need to fix this.” Blaine stood up and patted Wes’ shoulder. “Thank you.”
“Anything to stop the playlist.” Wes teased.
Blaine smiled and left the room. He went to his car and jumped into it, Teenage Dream came up on the radio making him smile. He remembered singing that when he first met Kurt, it was now one of his favourite songs because of it, because of the smile on Kurt’s face when he heard it. Knowing that he was going to see Kurt made Blaine happy, he knew that Kurt would be home at this time and that they could sort this out and be happy. He wanted to be with Kurt so badly and was determined to make this work. When he got to Kurt’s house he hurried to the door, not noticing that Kurt’s car wasn’t home. He knocked on the door and waited for a reply.
“Hello?” Burt said after opening the door.
“Oh hi, is Kurt home?” Blaine asked excitedly.
“No, no he isn’t. He was due back ages ago but I guess he’s out with his friends.” Burt shrugged his shoulders, not suspecting that anything was wrong.
“Oh right, he’d be at Mercedes or Rachel’s right?” Blaine asked, remembering their names from when Kurt talked about them.
“Yeah, since I trust you I’ll give you their addresses.” Burt went to the drawer by the door and pulled out the address book, writing down and giving them to Blaine.
“Thank you.” Blaine smiled gratefully and Burt smiled back, closing the door and leaving Blaine to get into the car and drive off to Rachel’s.
Kurt pounded on the door to the cupboard, having no idea why no one had found him yet, no one had probably worked out that he was missing. He didn’t even have his phone to call anyone and ask for help. All he could do was scream and shout and yet no one heard him. He was crying and scared, as well as very hungry. Since no one had come and he had been banging and screaming for hours, he gave up, sitting himself down and curling up. He wasn’t going to be found until the next day.
Blaine reached Rachel’s house, getting out of his car and hurrying to her door, eager to see Kurt if he was there. He knocked on it and waited patiently.
“Hello?” Hiram answered and looked at the small boy. “And you are?”
“Blaine, Blaine Anderson sir. Is Rachel Berry here? Or Kurt Hummel?” Blaine said politely.
“Rachel is here, she is my daughter, Kurt however, is not. What is it that you want with my daughter?”
“I just need to know where Kurt is.”
“Gay?”
“I’m sorry?”
“Are you gay?”
“Yes.”
“Yes! Leroy! My gaydar still works!” Hiram shouted to his other half.
“You are too?” Blaine asked shocked.
Hiram laughed and nodded before shouting for Rachel who hurried down the stairs. Hiram left leaving Rachel and Blaine alone.
“Blaine? What are you doing here?” Rachel looked at the suited boy, folding her arms and looking around.
“Do you know where Kurt is?” He asked, he needed to know where he was.
“I’m sorry, no. I don’t.”
“Please Rachel, if you know, don’t lie about it. I need to see him.”
“I haven’t seen him since midday, he never showed up for some of his classes and his car is still at the school.”
Blaine’s face dropped and began panicking, something was wrong, something was really wrong. “What?”
“The guys have been looking for him, they think its Karofsky.”
“K-Karofsky?”
“We think he’s been bullying Kurt again and might have something to do with him going missing. Karofsky was outed.”
Blaine felt sick; Karofsky had been outed and had been bullying Kurt. Kurt wasn’t safe, he was probably alone and scared and possibly hurt. “We need to find him, we have to.”
“I know but we have no idea...”
“Why aren’t you looking for him? So much for being his friend.” Blaine walked away in disgust, some friend.
“Blaine!” Rachel shouted after him pulling her coat on and running to him. “I’ll go with you, to help look for him.” As soon as she said that her phone rang. “Hello... you did? Is he... No? Oh god... I have Blaine with me... Yes... Okay Finn... I love you... Bye.”
“So? Have they found him?” Blaine asked hopefully.
“No, but they’ve seen Karofsky and there was no sign of marks on his hands and there was no Kurt with him. So either Kurt is hurt somewhere or he’s gone off himself.”
“He won’t have gone off himself, he’s not answering his phone either, and he usually always does. Especially to me.”
“Blaine, where would Kurt go if he was upset?”
“His mum’s grave.” Blaine answered, grabbing Rachel’s wrist and practically dragging her to his car. He sped off in the direction of the cemetery.
