Kurt looked in the mirror the following morning at his back and arm, his back was bruised and so was some of his front, his arm was too where he was grabbed. He didn’t sleep well at all that night, he was so scared about going back in, and he was never this scared before he left. He was so tempted to call Blaine but he didn’t want to bother him and Blaine probably didn’t want to know anyway, they hadn’t spoken since they last kissed. He gripped his bag tight, taking a deep breath for stepping out of his room and doing down the stairs.
“Hey bud?” Burt called to him from the kitchen. Kurt walked there and saw his dad and Carole sat at the table, his dad looked worried and Carole was holding his hand to comfort him.
“What’s wrong?” Kurt asked worried and sat down opposite them.
“Kurt, I want you to tell us if something happens, anything no matter now big or small, please just tell us. Being back there doesn’t mean things have changed, I would’ve kept you at that nice fancy school but I can’t afford it. I’m sorry Kurt, I feel like i’ve let you down.” Burt said, his voice breaking a little.
Kurt reached over and took one of his dads hands, holding it in his. “Dad you haven’t let me down, not even close. If anyone has let someone down then it’s me, I’ve let you down but things will get better, I promise.” He smiled a little at his dad, mostly to comfort him since he didn’t really know if things would get better. Things couldn’t get any worse, could they?
“Stay with someone at all times, please Kurt, I worry about you.”
“I know dad and I will, i’ll do my best to. I love you, dad.”
“I love you too, Kurt. Now get to school.” Burt smiled a little, releasing his hand from Kurt’s so his son could go.

“Finn, I don’t understand why you’re so mad at me. You were the one that told me, if you didn’t want me to know or for it to be kept a secret you should’ve said something then. But if it’s true and Karofsky did kiss Kurt then why wouldn’t Kurt say something? Tell someone what he did instead of keeping quiet?” Rachel said as she went through her locker, she pulled out her brush and began brushing her hair.
“He did kiss him and the reason why Kurt didn’t say anything is because Karofsky threatened to kill him if he told and also Kurt wouldn’t out someone. That’s totally not him.” Finn sighed leaning against the lockers, spotting Karofsky’s jock friends walk past.
“Even so he did threaten to kill him.”
“And he said that he threatened to kill him, he just bended the truth a little.”
“Why would someone threaten to kill him for bullying? Everyone knew he was getting bullied by Karofsky so why would he lie about it? There was always something strange about it, why Kurt?”
“Because he’s gay, we all heard what he called Kurt and saw some of the stuff he did to him.”
Rachel tapped Finn’s arm and told him to stop talking because they saw Kurt coming over, Finn then tapped Rachel’s arm when he spotted Karofsky coming in the other direction. They saw the fear in Kurt’s face when he spotted Karofsky and practically ran to their side.
“Hey guys.” Kurt forced a smile, trying to block out the fear.
“Oh hi Kurt, how are you doing?” Rachel asked concerned, maybe he was just scared because of the stuff from before.
“I er... I’m good. I gotta go to class.” Kurt said as soon as Karofsky passed him, hurrying away.

Blaine had to take a double take at the text, Jeremiah, he hadn’t heard from him for a while, he wasn’t sure whether he really wanted to at the moment.
B - Oh hey
J – You don’t sound too pleased to hear from me :D
B – Sorry, just dealing with some stuff
J – Boyfriend trouble?
B – Sort of
J – Let’s meet, coffee, an hour? Good, see you then

Blaine put down his phone and went over to his dresser, picking out and outfit before changing into it and going to call Kurt, stopping when he realised that he would be in glee club right now. He hadn’t seen Daniel or Oliver in a while, from what he had heard Daniel was still pretty cut up about their break up and Oliver was bitter about Blaine not liking him.
He opened his door and began walking to his car when a hand tapped his shoulder.
“Hey.” Blaine turned round and saw Daniel, he looked really upset.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Daniel shrugged. “You?”
“Yeah, I’m not too bad.”
There were a few minutes of silence before it was broken.
“I miss you.” Daniel said really quietly, making Blaine look at him with a sad smile.
“I miss you too, I miss being friends...”
“Stop. I’m sorry about hurting you.”
“You didn’t hurt me, you hurt Kurt. He didn’t deserve it.”
“I hear you moved on fast. Oliver. Didn’t want me, didn’t want Kurt but Oliver?”
“I did want you and part of me wants Kurt but I don’t want Oliver, no way. Did you know he’s the one who sent that picture of Kurt round?”
Daniel looked shocked and shook his head. “Oh my god, why?”
“He likes me, it’s obvious, which is also why he kissed me knowing that Kurt would see.”
“How twisted.”
“I know, look I’m sorry, I’m meeting someone. I have to go but it was nice to see you.”
Daniel looked even sadder but nodded. “Okay, well it was really good to see you. I’ll see you around.”
Blaine went to walk away, gripping at the bag on his shoulder and thinking about Kurt.
“I love you.” He heard before pushing the door open, he stopped and turned his head. “I love you, Blaine. I can’t help it. I shouldn’t but I do.”
“I know you do.”
“Do you love me?”
“I thought I did but no, I think I loved the idea of us.”
Daniels heart broke, he really thought at one point Blaine loved him. “Do you love Kurt?”
Blaine was surprised by the question, yes he did love Kurt but should he say that to his ex? Maybe it would help him get over Blaine. “Yes.”
