Burt almost dropped the coffee he was holding, he was shocked to hear Blaine's mother say something like that. It was just as bad as Blaine's dad.
"Are you actually insane?" Burt shouted. "I am not going to do anything to break them two up! They are in love and they are getting married! Those boys are perfect for each other and have been through so much crap together. Blaine is not too good for Kurt, they are both perfect together. If Kurt never met Blaine then none of this would've happened to him but he did and you know what, despite every hospital visit and everything that's happened, Blaine is the best goddamn thing to happen to Kurt. I am not helping you break them up, i will tell Blaine what you said and you can have this out with him. You know what? Blaine is too good for you!" Burt kept shouting, carrying what coffee he had through to Kurt's room where the boys still were.
Kurt saw his dad return to the room and instantly knew that something was wrong. His dad looked upset and angry, which wasn't right. He had no reason to be unless something happened while he was getting coffee.
"Dad, what's the matter?" Kurt asked.
"Blaine, can i have a word?" Burt asked.
"Anything you want to say in private, you can say in front of Kurt. After all, he is going to be my husband." Blaine smiled down at Kurt, who smiled up at him.
"Okay, well it's your mother Blaine." Burt looked at Blaine. "She wants me to help her break you two up. But i'm not, i don't ever plan to. She thinks Kurt is a bad influence and that you're too good for him. I set her straight but i thought you should know."
Blaine couldn't believe it, he ran out of the room and saw his mother buying coffee.
"MUM!" He shouted at her. "How dare you?! How dare you ask Burt to try and break me and Kurt up! He has been like a dad to me, he has been such a great parent, so much better than my own father. Decent parents wouldn't try to break up their son's relationship." Blaine glared at his mother. "If you can't support my relationship and my engagement, then we are done mum."
Blaine turned and walked away, giving his mother plenty to think about.

Kurt and Blaine left hospital the next day, they were both just grateful to be alive. They were heading to the car when they were stopped by Mr. Karofsky.
"Mr. Karofsky," Kurt said. "What brings you back here?"
"I wanted to ask if you would come to David's funeral, i know its a lot to ask considering what he just did but please. Please come." Mr. Karofsky asked.
"of course I'll be there." Kurt replied, not looking Blaine's face since he knew what it would look like. He wouldn't be happy and he'd he shocked. Kurt had his reasons for wanting to go. He knew that Karofsky was troubled, struggled with coming out and being confused about his feelings for Kurt. Yes Karofsky was a good person deep down and he had made many mistakes, at least this way he will be at peace.
"Thank you Kurt, thank you."

"Are you insane?" Blaine asked when they got home. "Did you get concussion and forget what Karofsky did to us?"
"No I haven't forgotten. Blaine, we can see that he's really gone and we can move on." Kurt put his hands on Blaine's face and stroked his cheeks. "We are alive, he's not and we are home despite some of it being burnt. Very soon we'll be in New York and beginning our lives, we'll have this all behind us. It is just one afternoon where we say goodbye to a troubled boy. You don't have to come, i can go by myself if you'd rather not go."
Blaine's hands went over the ones on his face, his fingers curling around it. "I will go with you. Where you go, I go."
Kurt leaned forward and kissed Blaine deeply and with a lot of love. When he pulled away, he smiled smittenly at his beloved. "I love you, Blaine Anderson."
"I love you too, Kurt Hummel-Anderson."
Kurt's face lit up, he was shocked but so happy to hear what Blaine said. "You just called me Kurt Hummel-Anderson!"
"Did I?" Blaine teased.
"Yes! I love it!"
Blaine kissed Kurt again, wrapping his arms tight around him. "I am so lucky to have you baby. No matter what, you are mine."
"I should hope so." Kurt grinned. "You are mine too, no matter what."
"We should go and check out your room."
"My room! My stuff!" Kurt ran upstairs to check out his room. He collapsed against the door, relieved that his room was okay. The damage was mostly downstairs. Kurt threw himself down on his bed and looked at Blaine with a sleepy smile. Blaine grinned back, he went to the windows and opened them to get rid of the smoky smell before snuggling up in bed with Kurt. They were too tired to change the bedding or do anything, as soon as they were in each others arms they fell asleep. But as soon as they woke up later, the tidy up began. Kurt used this as a good time to throw out clothes and get new ones, well not exactly throw out. There was ebay.
"Blaine?" Kurt said, stopping what he was doing to look at his fiancee.
"Yeah honey?" Blaine said as he flicked through magazines.
"I don't want our wedding to have a lot of guests, i want our friends and family. I just don't want to risk anyone who hates us getting in." Kurt said.
"I completely agree with you, it'll be a small do with our family and friends. Are we going on a honeymoon or are we going to do things in New York?"
"Whatever we can afford really baby, as long as i'm with you, i don't care where we are."
