Author's Notes: Author's Chapter Notes: This chapter is only short because i accidentally had 2 of each chapter, it's not much shorter but it'll do
After a few days, Blaine was starting to settle into NYADA but it felt so strange not having Kurt there. He was getting used to it but he didn't like it very much at all. He had to spend time with Rachel and she was driving him insane. She was more tolerable when Kurt was around because Kurt would join in her conversations and amuse her, whereas Blaine just got tired of her. He missed Kurt.
Kurt had found himself a job, it wasn't much, it was mostly just waiting at a little coffee shop. He could tell that Blaine wasn't overly thrilled by this since he thought Kurt could be doing something better but it was just something for now. He had no NYADA but he did have Blaine and their wedding, he also had two friends who had been so nice to him. He got to his work place and put on his apron, getting his order pad and a pencil then began waiting on tables. He didn't like this job very much but it was something to do during the day that wasn't sitting around at home and reorganizing the place again.
"You're Kurt, right?" A waitress said.
"Yeah. Who are you again?" He asked. "Sorry, I'm new."
"Melissa." She held out her hand and Kurt shook it.
"Nice to meet you." Kurt smiled back.
"So, i was told to give you this and ask if you'd hand them out, and possibly get people to sign up for it. It's just a mic night, we need acts." Melissa said, handing Kurt some flyers.
"I think i know just the people who'd be interested in this." Kurt said as he tucked them into his bag before resuming his work.
When Kurt got home, he saw that Santana, Rachel and Blaine were all sat on the couch and laughing together. He put down his bag and walked over, slipping into Blaine's lap. Blaine's arms wrapped around Kurt and he rested his head on Kurt's arm.
"Hey there." Blaine smiled. "Good day?"
"I wait on tables." Kurt sighed. "I guess it was okay."
"You should get a proper job." Santana said.
"I'm trying, okay! And before you start, yes i realise now that i should've applied to other colleges, it's just last year i got accepted so i assumed that i would again."
"Well actually, i read about Vogue wanting an intern, maybe you could try that." Rachel suggested.
"Kurt! You'd love that!" Blaine smiled more at him.
"Get me the details then." Kurt said.
It was the apartment viewing day and both of the boys were quite excited about it, they had discussed that Kurt should've spoken to Blaine about it first and Kurt did apologise. They got read and headed over to where the apartment was. When they walked inside, they found it was really really small, not big enough for the two of them. It was disappointing but it was unlikely that they would find their perfect home on their first try. It did bring Kurt down though since he already felt he couldn't do a lot right.
"Hey, it's okay." Blaine said to him. "I didn't expect us to find our perfect home on our first try."
"I was just thinking that in my head!" Kurt laughed.
"Really? That's awesome!" Blaine laughed and kissed Kurt's cheek. "Look, don't feel bad that this isn't a great place. We'll try again and then we'll find that perfect one, just for us and then when you are rich and famous, we'll get a huge place."
"When WE get famous." Kurt corrected him.
