Kurt could see a little light not that far away from him after his capturer left the room, they must’ve dropped something. He leaned over and realised it was a phone; he was so happy that he could cry. He used his foot to drag it over and twisted a little to grab it with his tied hands. He looked over his shoulder as he typed his home number slowly, only just seeing the numbers. His hands were shaking with nerves and excitement but he managed to get the number in. He pressed dial and leaned down close to the phone, ear against it so he could hear if someone answered.

Blaine was at the Hummel house, there was still no news on Kurt but he liked going there because he felt closer to him. Most of the day he’d sit in Kurt’s room and think and when he wasn’t in there, he was in the living room. Today he was in the living room, at the exact time the phone rang. He called through to Burt that the phone was ringing but Burt told him to answer it, so he did.
“Hello, Hummel residence.” Blaine tried to sound enthusiastic but it failed.
“Help me!” Blaine heard a crying voice down the phone. “Help me please! It’s Kurt, please help me!”
Blaine was shaking and almost crying just hearing Kurt’s voice, but knowing that he was in trouble made him completely terrified. He sat Burt in the door way and looked at him with a look to tell Burt who it was.
“Kurt, oh my god! You’re okay, where are you?”
“I don’t know, i was taken and locked away. I don’t know where i am, i’m scared. Please help.”
“Who took you? Kurt you need to tell me so i can tell the police.”
“It was –“ And there was a strangled cry on the other end of the phone that made every single nerve in Blaine’s body shiver.
“Kurt? Kurt! Are you okay?” And the line went dead.

Kurt was just about to tell Blaine who took him when that person came into the room, saw he was on the phone and kicked him in the face to get him away from the phone, making Kurt cry out in pain.
“Who did you call?” They grabbed the front of Kurt’s shirt and held him close. “Who did you call?!”
“No one.” Kurt cried.
“Who did you call?” They put a hand on Kurt’s neck and began choking him. “You have until you lose breath to tell me, if you don’t then i’ll call them back, find them and kill them.”
“I called home. Please let me go, i’m sorry.”
“Do they know where you are?”
“No, i don’t know myself so i how could i tell them? Please just let me go, i’ve been here for days and i’m sorry for whatever it is that i did to you. I just want to go home to my family, i’m really sorry.”
“Because of that phone call, you won’t be leaving ever.”
“No! Please! Please i’m begging you! Let me go, please. I won’t tell them who you are, i promise. Please i want to go home.” Kurt begged, crying really hard now.
“I won’t be coming back so goodbye Kurt.” And they were gone.
“Come back! Please come back!” Kurt screamed.

Blaine was shaking even more now, completely terrified by what he heard. He used redial but there was no answer, so he called the police and they were on their way over.
“Blaine, what the hell was that?” Burt asked, walking more into the room.
“Kurt called, he’s alive Burt. He’s really alive! Someone took him and they hurt him, i heard them hurt him.”
Burt was pale; he looked like he’d aged at least ten years since Kurt disappeared. He didn’t look like the Burt he knew. He asked Blaine who could possibly hurt Kurt and who hated him, Blaine had a list since the people in Ohio were huge asses. The police arrived and Blaine told them what he had heard, they took the number that called Blaine and began doing traces. Blaine was quite relieved even though he heard Kurt get hurt and knew he’d been kidnapped, he was just relieved to know that Kurt was alive. Now his hope was growing again, he believed now that Kurt would be coming back alive.

The police were getting hopeful too and closer, it was no longer a murder investigation but was now a kidnap and torture charge that the kidnapper would be facing. They didn’t tell neither Burt nor Blaine who they were searching for, only that they were close to finding Kurt. They did mention that they were looking at shifty places that were abandoned so if Kurt was there then they’d definitely find him. Kurt had been missing now for over two weeks and knowing that he’d been locked way the whole time, probably not being fed or let out to go to the toilet made Blaine want to cry. It was a horrible thought. He knew that Kurt would be absolutely terrified when he came home; he’d have nightmares and probably be scared of the dark so Blaine would be there to help him recover. Kurt didn’t deserve this; whoever took him was sick and needed putting down.

Blaine stayed sat on the couch for hours, waiting by the phone for a call from the police. He didn’t want to go home when he knew that Kurt was alive and waiting to be saved. He was a bucket of nerves, his eyes either on the phone, the window or the front door. But there was no call that night, which upset Blaine but he didn’t give up hope because the following evening the phone rang and it was the police. Burt answered it and looked over at Blaine with tears in his eyes. Blaine desperately wanted to know what they said to Burt, whether it was good or bad.
“They’ve found him.”
