Kurt made sure that he took a couple of days off so he could recover before going back to school, however he never told his dad that he had been beaten up. He couldn’t do that to him. There was one thing that Kurt wondered and that was how he got from the locker rooms to the nurses office, there was no one around when he came round and the nurse had no idea. The only people who knew what happened and were there was the football team, excluding Blaine. Kurt was grateful that Blaine wasn’t there because that would’ve just made everything worse and pain him more noticing how Blaine was slipping away more each day. This wasn’t the Blaine he loved, he had changed and Kurt wasn’t liking this new Blaine all that much. He told his dad that he was sick and needed a couple of days off so he spent his days reading his magazines and when it got to after school, he sat in his window, hoping for a glance at Blaine. He saw on one day, Blaine come home with some of the football guys and then the next day he saw Mandy and Blaine. Blaine looked up at Kurt’s window and smiled, the tiniest little bit that was barely noticeable. But he smiled. Kurt remembered the words that Blaine had said to him, what he had called him and who Blaine now was. Knowing that Blaine would rather be more popular than friends with him hurt him so badly. His heart hurt whenever he saw Blaine, especially when he was with Mandy. That was the worst. He knew that he somehow had to start getting over Blaine because he was never going to love him or want him. He didn’t even want him as a friend so why would he want him as something more.

Kurt was ready to go back to school, he had make up on the few cuts and bruises on his face but it wasn’t too bad because most of the bruises were on his body. He was nervous about going back, he had no idea if he would be carted in to see Principal Figgins and kicked out of school or if the bullying would get worse. He felt sick when he thought about what happened, Karofsky telling people that Kurt tried to rape him when it was the other way round. Karofsky had undone his pants and tried to stick his hand down there. He felt disgusting and violated. He felt worse when he arrived at school and people were practically pressed against the lockers to avoid him, people stared and whispered.
“Oh look, it’s the fag. Careful Blaine, he might try and touch you.” Mandy pressed her body up against Blaine to “protect” him.
Kurt sighed and kept walking, feeling the stares even though he wasn’t looking. He didn’t see Blaine’s eyes looking at him sadly, wishing desperately that he could help.

Kurt walked into the choir room and all eyes turned on him. He barely walked in the door when he saw everyone whispering and staring.
“Kurt, hi.” Rachel said, walking over to him and forced him into a hug, not hearing his wince. “How are you?”
“Oh I’m fantastic. People are pressing themselves against the lockers just to keep away from me, you might not want to get too close to me in case I touch you.” Kurt said with so much anger in his voice.
“Oh Kurt, I know you didn’t do anything but can you tell us what happened?” Rachel asked, rubbing his arm.
Kurt didn’t realise that he was held his breath until his face was going purple. “Karofsky shoved me, I went to confront him and we had an argument, the guys came in and he accused me of... Well you know.”
“But you didn’t, right?” Rachel asked.
“So you said that you know I didn’t do anything but you just want to make sure that I didn’t force myself onto a guy double my size and try and touch him. Yeah, because I would really do that. Screw you Rachel.” Kurt turned and walked out of the room, bumping into someone right outside the door. “Oh sorry.”
Kurt looked up and saw it was Blaine; he lowered his head and blushed. He couldn’t believe he walked into him.
“It’s fine.” Blaine mumbled, looking at Kurt. “How are you?”
“Fine.”
“Are you sure? I mean, I heard what happened in there. I also know that you didn’t do anything to Karofsky. I know he tried to do it to you.”
“How do you know that?” Kurt looked at him with a confused look.
“Come with me.” Blaine said, looking round before walking away.

Blaine took Kurt to the Lima Bean and buying his and Kurt’s coffee before leading him to the seats that they used to sit in all the time. He smiled at Kurt and watched him as he ran his finger round the edge of his cup.
“I just want to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I said the other day about you. I really don’t believe anything Mandy said about you, I just said it because.... Well I don’t know why I said it. I’m so sorry, I don’t believe you’re a freak or disgusting. I think you are the most amazing person ever, you’re so strong and brave and you’re the most compassionate person. I really don’t care that you’re gay, I admire how you don’t let anyone change who you are. Even though I hang out with new people, doesn’t mean you’re not my best friend. You never stopped being my best friend and the past few months I’ve changed, I got lost in the popularity and I thought it was the most important thing but it’s not. I am so sorry for everything.” Blaine said, completely and one hundred percent sincere.
“I’ve been alone for such a long time. I had you and then you changed, popularity took over and you became this person that I didn’t recognise. I’ve been shoved, thrown, slushied and almost raped because of who I am and i’ve had no one there. I was almost raped and now everyone thinks that I tried to rape Karofsky.” Kurt wiped the tears from his eyes.
“I know you didn’t do anything. I know that you would never do that and also because of the fact that Karofsky is the size of a car and you’re little. After the guys beat you up, I found you lying on the ground after you passed out. I carried you to the nurse and sat with you for a little while.”
“You were the one that took me there?” Kurt was shocked, he really had no idea.
“Yeah I was.”
“Why?”
“Because I...”

End Notes: Oooooh, what was Blaine going to say? Was it that he loves Kurt or something else?

Oh my gosh. You have me I thought it was very well layer out. That was a really big cliff hanger. You gave a little more of the old Blaine back and hopefully we have the outcome all of us want. Keep writing. Go Klaine.

Thank you! The old Blaine is making a comeback. I hope to update soon with an outcome which will make some happy and upset some
