"What do you want to be when you're older, Blainey?" A child Kurt asked his best friend.
"I want to be famous! I want to be a star. I want to sing to the world!" Blaine smiled at Kurt.
"Me too! I want to be on stage and in a famous musical. I want to go to New York, i hear that's where dreams come true."
"I want to go to New York too!"
"We'll go together!"
"We'll always go everything together, Kurtie. You're my best friend, always!"
"From cradle to grave."
"From cradle to grave."

Blaine's favourite time of day was when James came to visit him, he did it a few times a day and they'd talk for a while. Well they didn't just talk, they flirted too. Blaine was surprised that James flirted back and he wasn't imagining it. Kurt kept popping into his head and it made him feel really bad for everything. He clearly saw that Kurt was completely in love with him and it pained him that he couldn't remember loving Kurt back. As a child and teenager, it was all he wanted, for him to be with Kurt. Seeing the way Kurt's been around him, knowing how much he was hurting because of Blaine's rejection, it did really hurt Blaine. He could've told Kurt that they could spend time together and maybe they could fall in love again but he couldn't do it. He couldn't get Kurt's hopes up.
"Your friend doesn't come here anymore, you know, the one who loves you?" James said. "Is he your boyfriend?"
"Apparently so. When i had the accident and it made me lose my memory, i stopped loving him. I don't remember loving him. He loves me but i don't remember loving him and i want to move on and be with other people. He's been my best friend since we were born so it's going to be hard keeping him out of my life." Blaine told him.
"So that means you're single." James smiled.
"Yes it does." Blaine smiled back.
"Not long now before you're not my patient anymore and then i can actually ask you out."
"I can't wait."

Blaine got released from the hospital a few days later and was getting ready to go home. All the discharge papers had been signed and Blaine was just waiting for his mother to rejoin him and drive him home.
"So you're off then." James said as he was him.
"Yeah i am." Blaine smiled. "I'm no longer your patient anymore."
"That's right! So, now you're no longer my patient, how would you like to go out with me?"
"I would love to!"
James took Blaine's hand and wrote his number down on it. Then he gave Blaine the pen to do the same to him. Now they had each others numbers.
"I'm looking forward to our date."
"Me too!" James smiled. "I have to get back to work but i'll call you."
Dianna found Blaine talking to that nurse of his and she walked over to him. She wasn't too pleased that Blaine was flirting with his older nurse, despite Blaine being eighteen. She adored Kurt and Blaine together and since Blaine woke up, her heart went out to Kurt. He spent all his time in his room crying or doing something in there, he barely left it. She had contacted his friends and they failed getting him out. This had been so hard on Kurt, not just losing the love of his life but also losing his best friend. Blaine had been so insensitive to it all.
"Blaine, we have to go. Now." She told him.

Blaine was looking forward to being back in his own bed, in his own room but then he remembered he'd be living in the same house as Kurt. When they got back, Blaine found his room and went inside. It wasn't how he remembered it, but then again he remembered his room from the old house.
"You're back." A voice said behind him.
Blaine turned around and saw Kurt standing in the doorway. He looked exhausted and pale, his hair hadn't even been styled and his clothes didn't look like he'd tried at all.
"Yeah."
"How're you doing?"
"I'm okay. Still can't remember but otherwise i'm okay." Blaine told him.
"That's good." Kurt turned to leave.
"Are you okay?" Blaine asked him.
"No but like you said: 'I'll move on'." Kurt said bitterly.
"I know you won't move on."
"No i won't."
"You'll always love me."
"I will and i'll always have your virginity." Kurt smirked. "Yeah that's right, i went there. You don't remember it but it was the best night of your life. I finally gave you some and you loved it. It is such a pity that you don't remember it." Kurt turned and left the room, leaving Blaine standing there, speechless.

A few hours later, Blaine was sorting through his things when his phone rang. He grabbed it and lit up when he saw who was calling him.
"You really did call." Blaine said down the phone, after answering.
"You sound surprised."
"No! No i'm not. I'm really happy you've called."
"I just finished work and i was thinking about you. So, are you free tomorrow night? I know its really soon but i'm working the rest of the week."
"Tomorrow's fine!" Blaine said excitedly.
"I'll see you then!"

The next evening arrived fast and Blaine had been getting ready all afternoon. He was really excited about this date. When James arrived and knocked on the door, he rushed downstairs before Kurt or his mum could see him. Like his mother, he hadn't seen much of Kurt at all. He didn't leave his room apart from that one time they spoke and to have dinner. Even then, he didn't eat much or talk a lot. He was taking the break up hard. He didn't say a lot anymore either. But at the moment, it was good. Blaine answered the door and looked James up and down.
"Hey! You look great." Blaine said.
"Right back at you!" James smiled and offered Blaine his hand, which Blaine only too gladly took. James took Blaine to see a movie and they did actually watch the movie. During it, they didn't talk a lot, which was okay because maybe James didn't like talking during movies. When the movie ended, James took Blaine to the Lima Bean. Blaine felt a bit uncomfortable when they entered because this was his and Kurt's place. But James didn't seen to notice that he was uncomfortable and led him to a table. They talked about their lives for a while and James bought him two coffees. When the date was over, James took him home and walked him to the door.
"Tonight was amazing." James said.
"It really was." Blaine smiled.
Just like the ending of a date should go, James leaned in and kissed Blaine. Blaine's arms wrapped around James's neck and they kissed for a little bit. But what shouldn't happen on the first date, is your ex boyfriend opening the front door and seeing his ex making out with a new guy. That's exactly what happened. Kurt had seen Blaine and James kissing and he looked completely devastated. Blaine didn't say anything as Kurt slammed the door.
