Burt and Dianna had discussed everything and decided that it was now a good idea for them to move in together. Dianna needed extra help especially now she was getting bigger and they were now a family so it was only right they lived together. They had a spare bedroom in Burt's house for when family members visited but no one had visited since Elizabeth died so it was just a spare room. It was a decent size and it was good enough for Blaine, they thought. They knew it was time that the two boys were told and get their reaction but if they both weren't comfortable with it, then they wouldn't go ahead with it. Since Burt and Dianna had seen the two dancing in the living room, they had been inseparable like they used to be, except they weren't boyfriends anymore.
"So boys, we have something to tell you." Burt started, he was sat on the sofa with Dianna and holding her hand and the two boys were on the other one, looking nervous.
"You're getting married, aren't you?" Blaine said.
"No, not yet anyway because your parents divorce needs to go through." Burt said, squeezing Dianna's hand.
"Well... We haven't actually..." Dianna said quietly.
"You haven't actually what?" Burt looked at her.
"Mark and I never sorted it out, i've not filled for a divorce and neither has he." Dianna bit her lip, she knew that the three guys in the room would not be happy with her.
Blaine looked at Kurt in shock and they both silently agreed that it was best if they left the room so their parents could fight in privacy. Kurt took Blaine's hand in comfort and they went up to Kurt's room.
"Wow i can't believe my mum hasn't divorced my dad yet. They've been broken up half a year." Blaine sighed and sat down on Kurt's bed.
"She must still have feelings for him." Kurt said. "Poor dad. He loves her."
"I can't believe her! If that were me, i'd get the divorce started as soon as he walked out the door."
"It all depends on who it was." Kurt said. He knew that if it was him and Blaine married and Blaine left, he couldn't start the divorce right away because he loved him so much and he would never give up hope on getting him back. But this was a bit different, yes Dianna must still love Mark but Mark was so cruel to Blaine.
"What does that mean?"
"It means that if it was us in that situation, i don't think i could divorce you." Kurt said quietly.
Blaine couldn't help but smile, it meant that Kurt still loved him and wouldn't give up on him. He wouldn't move on from him. It meant that he still had a shot with Kurt. Without thinking he leaned forward and kissed Kurt, who kissed back for a second and then pulled away.
"What are you doing?" Kurt asked, looking from Blaine's lips and then to his eyes.
"I'm sorry, i just thought... Never mind." Blaine looked down at his hands.
"I'm not ready to forgive you and i might not for a while or possibly ever. I trust you as a friend but i couldn't trust you as my boyfriend. If you want me back, you are going to have to earn back my trust and my forgiveness and show me that you really do love me. I believe that you love me, but i don't know if its love love like i love you or friendship love. You doubted our relationship and our love which means you can't love me as much as you thought or said." Kurt said honestly.
"I do love you, the love i feel for you is love love. You are my true love, my soulmate and my one and only. I know i need to earn everything back and i will do my best to show you that you can trust me as a boyfriend again. But i am happy as your friend until you're ready, i will always be your friend and will always be here for you." Blaine smiled.
"I can't believe this!" Burt was not happy right now, after learning that Dianna and Mark hadn't started the divorce yet just annoyed him. He wanted to marry Dianna and he wanted to do it soon but he couldn't.
"Burt I'm sorry." Dianna started. "I do want to divorce him, i really do. I don't want the stress right now."
"But what about when he left and before you got pregnant?"
"I don't know, it was difficult then. Look i'll go and file for it today. You can come with me if you need to." Dianna said, her eyes pleading with Burt. "Why does this mean so much to you?"
"Because i want to marry you!" Burt shouted. The room went silent for a minute or so.
"Wow!" Dianna finally said. "You want to marry me?"
"Yes! I love you and i want you to be my wife. This isn't just about the baby, this is about you and me. I've not felt anything for a woman since Elizabeth and i don't want to lose you."
"I love you." Dianna said back. "I need some time to think about this marriage idea though. I've been separated from Mark for half a year, it won't look right if i'm marrying another guy not long after."
"But you see, you say that but you're carrying my child, it doesn't look right already. Look i'm not going to pressure you into marrying me, we can do that in your own time if that's what you want. I'm just saying its out there and it's what i'm interested in."
"So what do we do now? Are we still moving in together?"
"If that's what you want."
"I still do Burt, i really do." Dianna took Burt's hands and smiled at him. "We should tell the boys."
