“We’ll get him out Cooper, he’ll be okay.” Quinn said quietly, she would promise but she really had no idea if he would.
Cooper turned round and placed his spare hand on Quinn's face. It was soft and warm unlike his. He leaned forward slowly closing his eyes and gently his lips touched hers. The kiss lasted about seven seconds before Cooper pulled away.
“I’m sorry.” He said, looking down nervously at his feet.
“What for?” Quinn asked smiling, squeezing his hand.
“This is not the time or the place to do this.” Cooper said quietly.
“I think it is. Cooper, you know there is a chance we might not come out of here alive so i think it’s perfect timing.” Quinn said her voice calming and comforting to Cooper. “I like you a lot and i presume that kiss meant you like me?”
Cooper nodded, he couldn’t help but grin. He took her hand and held it to his face, he kissed it. Cooper pushed her hand away so he could get out of the car. Quinn went to follow him but Cooper told her to get back inside.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Quinn snapped, angry that she had been told to stay behind and that that mood had been ruined.
“I’m going to see how many entrances and exits there are to the building.” Cooper said. “It’s much quicker if i do it anyway.”
Within a minute he was back. The house wasn’t that big, it had a front door and a back door; there was also a basement which is where they thought Blaine was.
“The front door is blocked by wooden slabs but the back door is only locked by key. Inside there are three vampires outside the basement. I heard them complaining that they were awake in the day while Azimio and Karofsky slept and they were weak so we could go in and out by the time its dark.” Cooper whispered through the open window on Quinn's side of the car. Quinn climbed out of the car and followed Cooper over to the house.
“Can you unlock the back door?” Cooper whispered.
“Yes but we need to be prepared for an attack.” Quinn replied just as quietly.
“Thats why i brought this.” Cooper said swinging the backpack into his arms. In the bag were two stakes, he had made them himself.
“When did you...?” Quinn asked surprised.
“When you were asleep, i just figured we’d need them.” Cooper smiled. “Right now cast the spell and take a stake.”
“Apriam!” Quinn said to the key hole.
The door clicked and Quinn grabbed the handle pushing the door open. The two of them crept in and hid behind the dining table. Quinn tried to creep out and head for the hall way when she knocked the table and a cup fell and smashed onto the floor. Footsteps began to walk into the kitchen; they had no other choice but to attack. There was three on two, Cooper punched and staked one. There were two fighting Quinn, she cast spells whenever she could. She kicked one where she thought it’d hurt most before staking him. The last one charged towards Quinn but Cooper quickly staked him before he could get to her. The once green lining of floor was now covered by a layer of red liquid, blood oozed out of the vampire’s bodies as they turned to mush. Cooper held out his hand for Quinn so she could step over the bodies. Quinn jumped and landed safely in Cooper’s arms. In the hallway there were three doors; Quinn guessed they were a toilet, a cupboard under the stairs and a basement. Cooper pulled the door open and crept down the stairs with Quinn behind him. There at the bottom of the stairs in the corner tied tightly to a chair was Blaine. In front of him were two vampires, they looked easy to dispose of as they looked weak. Quinn cast a spell on the vampires and they burst into flames. They run down the stairs to untie Blaine when he tries to speak, they drained him badly so he was very weak. Blaine tried to speak again but Quinn told him to save his strength. Just as she said it she was hit across the head and tumbled to the ground, the same happened to Cooper. Azimio pulled the draining equipment out of Blaine and tied Cooper to the other side of the chair that Blaine was sat on. He re-tied Blaine too while Karofsky grabs Quinn and headed up the stairs. The door was locked behind them. Karofsky threw Quinn onto one of the chairs, supplied by Azimio, and tied her to it.
“You think it’ll work?” Azimio asked in his deep masculine voice.
“Yeah, she’s a half smell her.” Karofsky voice was northern.
“Perfect, how much do you think we can get from her?”
“Not too sure, she’s such a small thing. Just drain every last drop from her.”
Azimio tied the draining equipment to Quinn when the window smashed. Quinn woke up and saw a stake sticking out of Azimio's chest. He fell on top of her and she screamed and tries to escape. Karofsky threw Azimio to the ground, it was clear that he was dead. Karofsky grabbed a piece of cloth and gagged Quinn.
Cooper woke up and found himself tied to the back of Blaine's chair; Blaine's head was tilted back and looked lifeless.
“Blaine?” Cooper asked worried. Blaine's head rolled to the left, it looked like it took so much energy and that he might not be able to do it again.
“Cooper, hey. You’re up?” Blaine chuckled weakly.
“How long was i out for?” Cooper asked.
“Not sure, I’d guess about half an hour?” Blaine thought about it.
“Half an hour?! What? Where’s Quinn?” Cooper asked, waking up more.
“They got her; they tied me in the chair before i could try and fight.” Blaine answered.
“What are they doing to her?” Cooper asked scared.
“They are draining her until she dies, like they started doing to me.” Blaine revealed.
