Author's Notes: I am sorry about the French in this chapter if it's wrong, I never learnt it. I used a translator. There is a translation for the french too.
Kurt had his cat Amber on the chair next to him when he was on the plane; she sat in her cat carrier whilst clawing at the door, begging for it to be opened so she could run free. Kurt completely understood that this journey was going to take a while and he didn’t want her anywhere else, he didn’t trust plane people. He let her out for five minutes sometimes, mostly so he could get her to do her business or stretch her legs. When he held her, he sometimes put her up to the window so she could look out at the world and see how high up they were, Amber loved it. Sometimes she’d do the cutest little things that would bring a small smile to Kurt’s lips despite his heartache; his little kitten was the cutest thing. He lay there at night and just stared out of the window, looking at whatever he could see, it took him a few hours before he fell asleep. In the morning and when they were close to Paris, Kurt started looking through his Aunt Maggie’s catalogue, looking at the gorgeous designs when he started feeling sad and missing Blaine more than ever. In his pocket was a picture of the two of them, arms around each other and beyond happy. How had this gone so wrong? He looked at it sadly, thinking about all the amazing times he had with Blaine while Blaine’s break up words went around his head before being knocked out of it by Amber’s meowing.
“Please return to you seat and return your seat to its upright and locked position for our descent into Paris.” The woman over the PA said. This made Kurt look out the window and smile as the plane started landing in Paris.
“Look Amber. Paris.” Kurt smiled, showing his cat the beautiful city before returning her to her carrier.

When the plane landed and Kurt was out of the airport, he changed his clothes into his finest but it was raining, so he put on his purple raincoat over the top that matched his purple boots. First he got into a taxi that drove him most of the way to his Aunt Maggie’s with Amber in the next seat, very eager to get out of the car. As the guy in the taxi drove, Kurt looked out of the window and admired the shops going past. There was a cute little cafe with a couple of women sat outside, one had a baby and there was a couple holding hands. This made Kurt feel sad and realise how empty his own hands felt without Blaine’s to hold them. The cafe had green umbrellas above the tables to keep the rain out or block out the sun, they were cute and went with the light brown chairs, tables and overall design of the cafe. Some of the other store he drove past was very colourful and bright, it was really pretty and he knew for sure that he was going to love it here. He might even more here if he loved it that much.
“Ceci est assez prs, merci beaucoup.”Kurt said, meaning “this is close enough, thank you.” He was so grateful to be fluent in French otherwise this trip might be a problem. It wasn’t that his Aunt couldn’t speak English, because she could, but in case her staff or other stores might not understand it.
Kurt got out of the car and took a deep breath, taking in the smell of the amazing city. He looked around in awe of such a stunning place. He hadn’t been there in such a long time that he had forgotten what Paris looked like. He held his bag in his hand and started wheeling it along, holding Amber in his other hand. He couldn’t stop looking at the shops and houses as he passed them. He avoided people as he walked, saying “je suis dsol” or “sorry” to any person he bumped into.

It started raining more as they walked; making Kurt put the hood of his coat up but stop for a second. The smell in the Paris air was incredible, he loved the smell of the rain back home but this was something completely new. But there was a rainbow in the sky which made Kurt look at Amber and smile, nodding in the direction of the many colours. The rain wasn’t going to last long, it was just a small shower but this was all so perfect to Kurt.

Back home in the little coffee shop that everyone used to hang out in, sat Blaine and his friend Harry. Now, Harry was deeply in love with Blaine and everyone but Kurt knew it. Harry had black hair in the style of Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire, except this hair suited him a lot better than Potter. His eyes were brown and he had a birth mark on the side of his nose the size of a peanut. However, he was constantly horrible to Kurt and Kurt was still nice to him because Harry didn’t have many friends. Blaine wasn’t great friends with Harry, he loved Kurt and he would never like Harry like that, not ever.
“Blaine, you can’t help me run lines again if you’re on the phone.” Harry said, lowering the phone to the table to try to get a distracted Blaine’s attention.
Blaine sighed. “I just don’t understand. I can’t get hold of Kurt at all, I’ve tried his phone, i’ve texted and i’ve even tried tweeting but nothing is working.”
“I’m sure everything’s fine.” Harry said as he took the phone from Blaine so he’d stop trying to call Kurt.
“But it’s been since yesterday since I heard from him, it doesn’t make sense and it worries me.” Blaine said, tapping the black table top that stood on a silver metal stand that was bolted to the ground.
“Kurt is very busy, you know with his movies and then he has his premieres and photos. You know how it is. But i’m positive that he’ll call when he has the chance.” Harry held up a voice recorded and grinned at Blaine. “In the meantime you can help me run lines.”
Blaine sighed again, this time much heavier and really not in the mood for this. “Okay, but do you have to tape me again?”
“You sound great and we have to do it so i can practice when you aren’t around.” Harry said, getting the tape recorder all ready.

Rachel and Mercedes walked into the coffee shop, Mercedes started to head over to the counter when she heard a gasp from Rachel. She saw Rachel looking over at the far corner of the shop at a very cosy Blaine and Harry.
“Mercedes look!” Rachel pointed at them with a shocked face, tugging on her friend’s elbow.
“Oh no!” Mercedes said loudly. “Please don’t tell me that Blaine dumped Kurt for Harry.”
Mercedes began marching over there, Rachel following behind. Both of them were angry and Rachel had her arms folded to show it while Mercedes looked like she was about to explode because of her anger. “Are you kidding me?!” Mercedes shouted at Blaine when she got over there, making everyone else in the shop look at them.
“Oh Mercedes,” Blaine said after jumping from shock. “Rachel. Where is Kurt? I can’t get hold of him or find him.”
“Why do you want to know?” Mercedes asked with her sassy tone and her hands on her hips. If looks could kill, then Blaine would be dead so many times over.
“I can’t reach him at all. I’ve called and texted and tweeted. Nothing’s going through. Is he okay?”
“Kurt’s fine. He really doesn’t want anything to do with the ass who didn’t have the guts to dump him in person and had to do it by phone.” Mercedes poked Blaine hard in the chest, hearing everyone else in the shop gasping and tutting.
Blaine looked around in confusion, he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. “Dumped him? What on earth are you talking about? I would never, ever, ever dump Kurt, ever!”
“You know what? I need to go.” Harry said nervously, starting to get up and sneak past the others.
“Don’t you dare play dumb with us, Anderson. She told us what you said, “It’s over. If you’re smart, you’ll forget i ever existed.” Mercedes shouted, Rachel still with her arms folded and glaring at Blaine, nodding with whatever Mercedes said.
“Wait. What?” Blaine got more confused by the minute before something hit him and realised that someone else had done this. Harry. “Harry! That line. That was part of the script I read for you yesterday.”
Harry stopped and pretended to look confused and like he was thinking. “Is it? I don’t really remember. See? That’s why I need to learn.”
“And you recorded it. Oh my god! Please tell me that you didn’t play it back to Kurt and make him think I broke up with him.” Blaine was panicking; he could only imagine how heartbroken Kurt was.
“I’d be so happy to tell you that. Do you really want me to?” Harry grinned his charming grin.
“Harry!” Blaine shouted.
Harry sighed. “It was a joke. I never thought he’d actually fall for it. He must really have some doubts about your relationship.”
Blaine groaned and put his head in his hands, trying to think of what to do. “Where’s Kurt? I need to see him right now.”
Rachel laughed a nervous laugh. “Well.... He’s kind of in Paris.”
“Paris?!” Blaine thought he misheard her but he really hadn’t. “As in Paris, France?! Since when was he going there? Just give me your phone; I need to talk to him.”
Mercedes was angry at that. “No! A phone call won’t do it, if you really love him then go and fly to Paris and tell him about the mistake and that you love him. Kurt went through a lot recently and he needs something to cheer him up.”
“Like?”
“A romantic gesture!” Mercedes said, now smiling at the thought of Kurt’s face at the romance of it all.
“Oh my god, he’ll love that so much!” Rachel giggled, jumping up and down and clapping her hands.
“Yeah, he will. That’s perfect!” Blaine smiled, now excited and coming up with ideas.
