Author's Notes: Title from Call It Off by Tegan and Sara!
“Yeah, I got it yesterday. It was already opened though- no, it got sent to 307, not to me. Maybe next time try working on your handwriting? I thought it was a bit- oh, customer’s coming in, I’ll call you later tonight!”

Blaine ended the call and stuck his phone back in his pocket, before looking up and grinning when he saw who was coming through the door.

“Mason- make a non-fat mocha, would you?” He whispered to his co-worker behind him.

“What? I’m not making you drinks, make it yourself!”

“It is for a customer. He just hasn’t ordered yet.” Blaine snapped back.

Luckily, Kurt had stopped to answer a phone call before making his way to the counter, allowing Mason enough time to whip up his order, with a minor amount of grumbling. Mason handed the cup to Blaine while rolling his eyes. “I hope you’re at least getting some fr-”

“HAHAHA, you are so hilarious Mason!” Blaine blurted out, nudging him to the other side of the counter as Kurt approached him. “Hello Kurt, welcome to the Caffeine Cave! Here you go, one non-fat mocha, on the house!” He pushed the cup across the counter towards Kurt, when he looked up, he saw a very confused expression on his face.

“You know my coffee order?”

“Of course I do!” Blaine paled. That probably sounded really creepy. “Uh- I mean- I’m really good at memorizing things?”

“Are you asking me or telling me? You don’t sound too sure of yourself..” Kurt smirked.

“Telling you. I am good. At memorizing things. I could probably be a professional memorizer.” Oh god. This was the worst conversation. Ever.

Kurt let out a little chuckle. “Alright, how much do I owe you Mr. Memorization?” He grabbed his wallet from his bag and started taking out a few bills.

“Nothing!! Uh. It’s on the house! You were our 100th customer for the day!”

Mason actually snorted behind him, before Blaine sent his foot back into a kneecap.

Kurt stared at Blaine, a smirk slowly starting to appear. “You’ve had a thousand customers this morning.”

It didn’t sound like a question, but Blaine answered him anyways. “We sure have!! And you were lucky number 100!”

Kurt was sporting a full blown smile now, as he picked up the cup and started walking towards the door. Before he left, he called over his shoulder. “Thank you for the coffee Blaine, but haven’t you only been open for 10 minutes?”

Blaine turned bright red and debated smacking himself in the head. That proved to be unnecessary though, as it looked like Mason was ready to do that for him, after he finished dying of laughter of course.

The next day, Blaine managed to serve Kurt his order without making a fool of himself, although that didn’t stop Mason from trying. He was pleased to see that Kurt decided to stick around while he drank his coffee. Blaine watched as he settled himself at his usual table, pulling out what looked to be a sketchbook.

He spent the next ten minutes trying to find an angle that he could see what Kurt was doing, without looking like a total creep, but Mason called him out on it before he managed to find a spot.

“You know you’re going to look like a creep no matter where you stand right?” Mason drawled, a smirk on his face. “You are the ultimate creep. The creepiest there ever was. I think if dear little Kurt knew how creepy you were, he’d find somewhere else to get his coffee.”

“Except he lives across the street, we're the closest place for him to get his coffee.”

“Hah! Sorry, I didn’t think you could get any creepier but you obviously proved me wrong!” Mason chuckled. Blaine felt his cheeks colour, and stared down at his feet. “Shut up, Mason, he might hear you!” Blaine peeked his head over his shoulder to see if Kurt was looking up at them, but he was poring over something in his sketchbook.

Mason pulled Blaine over to his side and wrapped his arm around his waist. “You’ve got it bad, don’t you? Aw, sweet little Blainers got a little crush, how adorable!”

“Mason, don’t call me ‘little’, we’re the same age! And it’s not just a little crush, okay? I really, really like him- he’s perfect in every way. His hair, his body, his voice, every little thing is just exactly what I-”Blaine stopped as Mason nudged him in the ribs, and turned to see Kurt standing at the counter. Kurt’s ears turned a deep red colour before he gave an awkward nod and quickly left the store.

Blaine had no idea how long Kurt had been standing there, but he knew for sure he’d just ruined any possibility of ever getting closer to the man of his dreams.

End Notes: Life gets in the way of writing. Let me know what you think!
