Kurt and Blaine lay in bed that night, completely naked. "Well that was amazing." Kurt breathed into Blaine's neck.

"I must agree." He rolled them over so he was on top placing a soft kiss on Kurt's lips and then getting out of bed to put on some pyjama pants. He threw a pair at Kurt too. "Put them on, we wouldn't want to scare Finchel." He joked.

"Believe me, in New York the amount "Finchel" scared me, I should be getting payback now!" Blaine laughed and after pulling on his pants hopped into bed and snuggled next to Kurt as he put an arm round his boyfriend who has his head on his chest. He stroked Kurt's hair softly pushing his lips gently into his head.

"Finn and Rachel are quite sweet though aren't they, all Rachel's madness aside." Kurt thought aloud.

"Yeah they are, just not as cute as us." Blaine laughed as he kissed Kurt quickly.

"The wedding sounds amazing too; they just seem a little young."

"What do you mean?" Blaine asked, hoping Kurt wouldn't notice the instant speed in his heartbeat.

"Well, I mean, if I was Rachel, I would've said no."  Kurt replied light heartedly.

"Huh, that's a new side of you Mr hopelessromanticfingertiptouchingHummel." Blaine teased trying to cover up the fact his heart had just plummeted about a thousand miles.

"Just saying if you proposed in the next few years I would be kind of taken aback, I mean we are young."

By now Blaine's head was spinning. He may or may not have been hopelessly googling male engagement rings and planning a proposal for just a few months on. Now it seemed like he was glad he didn't and he'd thought he'd wait.

"But if you love someone, and you know you're going to be with someone forever, then you might as well just go ahead with it?" Blaine practically choked out the sentence.

"Hey." Kurt whispered, "Why are you getting so upset about this?" Blaine knew it was just a light hearted conversation but he was gutted, his heart felt broken.

"Because I love you, and I thought I could just propose whenever and you would say yes, because I know I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you, but now clearly you don't feel the same." He said a little louder than he anticipated, his eyes filling up. Kurt looked up at him in disbelief. He had really stepped in it this time.

"Oh, Blaine, I'm sorry, I-I-Of course I'd want to marry you and spend my life with you, but that's the point, why do all the good stuff now when we've got the rest of our lives to do it?" Kurt asked sting up to look at Blaine directly.

"Why are you sorry? I mean, I'm the one being a douche and pushing this, I' sorry, I didn't mean to upset you I-"

"Blaine it's not your fault, you were just being sweet and I was just being stupid and defensive as always." Kurt said trying to recapture Blaine in his arms.

"No, it is my fault, Kurt. You deserve better, I'm sorry..." With tears promising to spill over he ran out of the room and into the bathroom locking the door.

"Shit." Kurt whispered flopping back onto his bed. Blaine's phone rang with a text and as Kurt opened it, it came onto an internet screen of his Facebook. He sighed and went to click off of it but he opened all the tabs instead, the first one last looked at 3 weeks ago stood out: engagement rings.

Kurt put a hand over his mouth as he began to cry, tears of joy and pain. He knew then that he would've said yes. Guilt rose within him as he went to read the text, it was from Wes.

Hey dude, enjoying Kurt's ass?;-)

Kurt scoffed slightly at the immaturity and scrolled up the messages, now insanely curious and guilty, and there from 3 weeks ago he found a conversation.

Thinking of proposing. Should I?

YES

I don't know...

Don't know what? You love him right?

Or course! More than I ever thought I could. I want to be with him forever, but what's the point in proposing if we can't see each other every day?

Hm true, what about when you leave school and go to New York too?

I wouldn't have to think twice. I was going to then anyway, just had a random thought to do it now that's all.

Just do what feels right man. If you feel the need to, then do it.

True, I think, I'll wait, unless something happens to make me change my mind or something.

Like what?

I dunno, just if I miss him too much I might end up doing it on a whim.

Lol man. Whim. You sound posh.

Gee thanks Wes. Always a help.

S'okay bro. Bye.

Kurt locked the phone and cried into his pillow. There was a knock at the door, "Which one of you is in the bathroom, and are they okay because they've been in there for half an hour."

"Blaine's in there, Dad, we just had a fight I think."

Burt came in and put an arm round his son. "You think?" Carole came in and they both looked at him expectantly.

"We were just hugging and we said that Finn and Rachel were cute and then I said that they were rushing into the wedding and then he seemed upset and I said I'd be shocked if he proposed and he got really upset and ran out to the bathroom and I looked at his phone and he was looking at engagement rings and he'd texted Wes about it and he was going to propose at some point this year. When he left school mainly, but he said if he missed me he might do it sooner and I know he's really missed me and I just basically turned him down because I had no idea!" Kurt bawled out and fell into his Dad's arms.

He could remember about 3 weeks ago, Blaine had wanted to ask him something important, he said he needed his permission for something, but he'd changed his mind by the time he was about to ask. Burt knew what that was all about now.

Rachel entered, "Kurt, where's Blaine?"

"Bathroom, we-we-row-eugh!" he choked out.

Putting a hand on his shoulder she said calmly, "No, someone left the bathroom about 2 minutes ago, Finn's in there now."

Kurt knew where he was. The only place he could've gone. He ran to his window and saw Blaine's car was gone, "I'm going to find him."

"You might want to hurry dude." Finn said going pale, Rachel had just 5 minutes ago told him about Blaine's cuts, so he was first to realise. "If he's upset then, he might want to cut, I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting or something..." Everyone's faces dropped. Kurt went a ghostly white and ran.

"I'm going to get him! He can't be alone, especially not now." He called back as he shut the front door and ran to his car.

-

Kurt ran straight into the underground hole, he saw Blaine at the end of the long square room, he was sitting up with his head in his knees, arms wrapped around his legs sobbing violently. Kurt looked at him with tears emerging in his own eyes, he dropped the bag of towels he had brought just in case, they landed silently to the floor. He ran towards Blaine who looked up with red puffy eyes.

That was when Kurt saw it: The blade on the floor. The one he had take off of him nights ago. He fell to his feet next to Blaine; he saw the blood on the blade and began to sob uncontrollably. "Oh, Blaine. No. You didn't. Please. God. Blaine." Blaine just looked up at him and whispered the word that he knew all too well now.

"Sorry."

End Notes: Yeah. Sorry about that. Again, any reviews are welcome and will result in the next chapter being posted, if not I'll post this weekend:-)-Pheebs x
