Chapter 6: A home.
It had been just over one week together, Blaine was happier than he had ever been in his life. He was sitting on a chair in the kitchen whilst Kurt was making pancakes for the both of them. Blaine was just staring at Kurt the way he had done in the Lima Bean a year ago, when he had told him he loved him. He was just staring at him, soaking up all the Kurt he could get. As Kurt went to the fridge Blaine followed him, put his arms round his waist from the behind, leaned into Kurt's ear and whispered. "I love you so much." Kurt turned around and kissed him. It was so soft, but so perfect. Blaine went to sit back down.
"You don't want to flip them then?" Kurt laughed holding out the pan to Blaine who's eyes lit up brightly and he jumped from his seat.
"Really!? Thank you Kurt! Thank you!" He smacked a giant over-exaggerated kiss onto Kurt's lips. "Mwah!" Kurt laughed at his boyfriends childlike qualities.
"You have done this before right?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"Of course I have!" Blaine lied flawlessly. "Look!" He said flipping the pancake into mid air and it landed perfectly, onto his head.
Kurt was laughing so hard he thought he was going to cry. He ran over from behind the counter and pulled the pancake off of a very confused Blaine's head. "It's rude to laugh you know." Blaine huffed.
"Let me show you how it's done." Kurt teased playfully and flipped a perfect pancake putting it onto a plate.
"No fair!" Blaine whined. Kurt just laughed again and put Blaine's hand on the frying pan, he went behind him and guided his hand gently, they flipped the pancake and caught it together. "New favourite way to make pancakes." Blaine whispered turning round to kiss his boyfriend.
"I was going to let you try the next one, but I think I like it this way more too."

When they had finished eating their pancakes-Kurt had had 2, Blaine had 5 and was not at all put off by his boyfriends moaning-They brought the remaining 4 to Burt and Carole in the living room for them to enjoy and went upstairs.
As they got dressed for the day, Kurt put Blaine's Bio-oil on for him. "You know next week you're going to have to do this yourself..." Kurt said sadly. Blaine sighed at the thought,
"I can't, I can't even touch them without feeling sick." Kurt took Blaine's hand in his and placed it on Blaine's right arm, the one with minimal damage. Blaine tensed, but feeling Kurt's hand he relaxed again. He placed the oil into Blaine's hand and guided it softly. They put it on the right arm together and Kurt did the rest himself.
"We have 4 days left after today, you can do one more set everyday but with my help, I won't make you do the writing until the very last day, because it will be mostly gone anyway. We can make it through this. You can make it through this and I'm here to help you along the way." He kissed his boyfriend softly and went to go and get dressed.
Blaine smiled after his boyfriend. "You're perfect, Kurt. You're my absolute everything. Forever and always. Thank you."
Kurt flushed red and embraced his boyfriend, holding him close.
"We keep hugging when I'm in my underpants." Blaine giggled.
"That's okay, this time I am too." Kurt whispered back hotly into Blaine's neck sending shivers down his spine.
"Oh really?" Said Blaine playfully as he picked up Kurt and threw them both onto the bed as they began to giggle and kiss playfully, nothing got too heated. They just enjoyed being together, whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears, nudging their noses against the other ones and sharing small sweet kisses.

"Burt, you have been staring obsessively at your laptop for over a week now. What the hell are you doing?" Carole sighed staring at him in wonder.
"Fixing things." He replied simply. "I will find a way. I know it. How much money do we have in our account to spare on something desperately important?"
"About $50,000 tops. But that would have to be for something drastically life changing. It's emergency funds, Burt what are you doing?"
"I don't completely know, but I have an idea, and ah crap" He said looking up at the boys coming downstairs, "I'll tell you later."

2 days later, Kurt and Blaine were sitting on the sofa, just laughing and chatting when there was a knock at the door. Kurt got up to answer it with Blaine's strong arm around his waist.
"Finn, Rachel! Oh my god what are you guys doing here!?" Kurt screamed excitedly, he had missed them both over the last week and a bit. He and Blaine hugged them both and moved aside for them to come inside.
"Do Burt and Carole know you're coming?" Blaine asked practically jumping; he hadn't seen the two in over a month and had too, missed them dearly.
"Yeah they know, we just wanted to surprise you! Oh and we didn't want Kurt flying back on his own seeing as he'll probably be moping over the fact he just left again." Rachel teased. Kurt went bright red and looked at the floor wanting it too swallow him whole.
"Rachel!" he hissed.
"Awwh, babe, it's okay, I'll be moping too, but your parents get the pleasure of dealing with that." Blaine laughed still not releasing the arm around Kurt's waist.
"What's that Blaine?" Burt asked cheerfully coming in from the kitchen with Carole, both practically running towards Finn and Rachel enveloping them in hugs. When they finally broke free Rachel reached into her bag and pulled out a white invitation. She handed one to each couple and beaming with pride exclaimed:
"Wedding invitations! We finally found a date to reschedule too, it's in January, in grand central park!" Kurt's eyes lit up as he and Carole screamed excitedly with Burt and Blaine laughing at them as they all began giving congratulations and hugs.
They all went to sit around in the living room on respective sofas as couples, Burt holding hands with Carole, still looking at his computer. Blaine sitting upright with Kurt's head on his lap, and Rachel sitting on top of Finn who could barley even notice the miniscule amount of weight on his lap. They had a brilliant evening laughing and telling stories as a family, and they well and truly felt like one. Rachel and Finn had both noticed the now faded cuts on Blaine's arms but had both kept silent, it wasn't until they saw the faint lettering as Blaine reached for a drink they both gasped.
Blaine knew that face, he had seen it on Burt, Carole and Kurt, twice. He let out a sigh and as he went to explain, Kurt just shook his head, grabbed Rachel and pulled her outside, telling her a simplified version of the story.
When they emerged back into the living room the mood had already lightened as Carole had found the dreaded baby photo's. Kurt let out a scream recognising the photo album and ran to close it, sending Blaine into fits of laughter. Rachel just looked at Finn with the look of "I'll tell you later" Blaine had picked up on this and was endlessly grateful for his new found family's sensitivity and understanding towards him. He looked around at the laughing smiling faces. He knew then that he had found his home.

This story is so touching! I loved this chapter but dread what Blaine will do without Kurt! And I am curious as to what Burt is doing...
