No one understands Blaine's mood swings. The thing is, whenever something he loves is in his reach, he grabs at it and when it's in his hands, he's happy for a while and everyone around him is happy too until he finds it hard to let go of that thing, yet it slips out of his grasp and then he's sad again because it seems like nothing can last for him. He's quiet, never speaks during class, stays hunched over his desk, and it looks like he's doing his work but he's not because he doesn't care enough.

Blaine walks down the hallways to his next period, getting shoved into the lockers quite a few times but that's normal. He's in one of his bad moods today and people can sense it, and he's not really glad. It'll never happen but he wishes he could be less gloomy so maybe people would like him. He also wishes, obliviously, that his brother will come back someday. Ignorance is bliss though, he guesses.

No one understands Kurt's style or anything or basically just the gay of him.

But the thing about him is that he just doesn't let it get to his head. Life is a road, people are obstacles, and he just finds a way to get over them. Simple as that. Karofsky doesn't bug him anymore so he's doing a lot better than he was last semester. Kurt is happy and cheerful and has his few great friends and his stepmom and stepbrother and he's okay with it and loving his life.

You see the differences in these two boys; Blaine and Kurt. Let's just say you obviously know them both. And you wonder how they could possibly come together to be even just friends, let alone more than the idea.
