Author's Notes: This is how everyone is dressed just in case you didn't see the Olympics opening ceremony: http://entertainista.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Opening-Ceremony-Lochte_Clay_Lanzone_Mitts-Ralph-Lauren-Olympics-feat.jpg_____________________

Blaine had made it. It took sweat and tears and hours of practice to be where he is now. Blaine Anderson was number 18 on the USA basketball team for the 30th Annual Summer Olympics in London, playing alongside some of his best friends to hopefully earn his country a gold medal. Blaine fixed his hat and gave his outfit another approving look, forcing down the butterflies in his stomach as he walked out of his dressing room. Puck greeted him outside in the very similar navy outfit. Puck instantly smirked at him.

"Lookin' sharp, Blainey boy."

Blaine narrowed his eyes and gave him a sarcastic nod, holding back a grin at his teammate. "You look divine too, Puckerman." Puck sagged his shoulders. "I'm Puckzilla! I'm known for my famous mowhawk and stunning good looks, B. There are like over a million hot European chicks in those stands waiting for this and I am wearing white pants and a hat, Blaine. A hat." Blaine tried not to look too fondly at his obviously devastated friend.

"Somehow, Puck, I think you'll make it." Blaine patted his shoulder as Puck let out a small chuckle through his pouted lips and shook his head.

"Let's head out man, we still have to get everyone assembled. Plus we gotta catch J.K. before its too late." Blaine bounced on his feet as they began to walk. "I'm so excited to meet her! I heard they're doing something in her honor." Blaine stopped rambling with a wide smile, shaking his head in disbelief. "Puck we're here. We're at the Olympics. We're here." Puck gave him a look. "Calm down, basketboy. We still have to make it past today."

They got into their private van and drove off to the stadium. Blaine was plastered to the window, staring at the lights and places they passed, trying to memorize every second and every color. Blaine had never felt this much alive. He was finally doing something that he had achieved. That he aimed for and fuck did it feel good to reach the stars. Blaine bounced in his seat as the van stopped by the side auditorium where all the countries were meeting up. Puck and Blaine spotted the American flag and walked to it, smiling at other athletes they passed.

"Over here!" Called out a voice. Puck and Blaine turned and recognized their team, walking over. Everyone was dressed in the similar attire. Small chatter broke out in the group as Puck began to whine to Sam and Mike. Joe got dragged off by Rory to find something to eat as Nick and Jeff discussed some of the athletes. Wes came up to Blaine with a smile, eating a few crackers from the palm of his hand. He nodded in hello. As Blaine opened his mouth to say something, Finn came jogging over.

"Hey dudes!" Everyone gave him a look.

"Where were you, Hudson?" Sam asked, taking authority. Finn shrugged, giving him a lopsided smile. "I was with my little bro." Nick's eyebrows shot up.

"Kurt Hummel is here?" He exclaimed. People around them seemed to hear as they began to talk about the legendary Kurt Hummel. Blaine's eyebrows furrowed, "Kurt Hummel the swimmer?" Finn nodded, a wide grin on his face. Obviously the boy was proud of his brother. Blaine licked his lips. He had heard of Kurt Hummel, the world's most famous swimmer of all time. He was tied with Aaron Maxon for most gold medals in history, and was back at the Olympics to beat the record. Finn fell into easy talk with Wes about a basketball tactic, as Blaine noticed the flag again.

Something about the flag gripped Blaine's heart. It would stand on the twisted grassy field in the stadium as a sign of their country. Something everyone here shared. They all competed for different titles in different signs and dances of glory, but they all wanted to bring the honor to their country. Blaine had to get a closer look. He pushed eagerly through the crowd, accidentally bumping shoulders with Michael Phelps. Blaine gulped, muttering apologies, walking backwards before bumping harshly into someone and almost falling. He managed to keep his balance before turning to the victim.

"I am so so so sorry," He breathed out, stuttering slightly. The boy had his head on his own stomach as he checked for any imperfections before looking up. Blaine blinked a few times, breathing slowly as he was met with clear blue eyes. The boy in front of his was absolutely stunning. He was by far the most beautiful man Blaine had ever laid eyes on. Blaine let out a little rushed breath, opening his mouth to say something. The boy just smiled, eyes crinkling a little as he tilted his head to the side. "Flag."

Well okay, so maybe that was the worst thing to say to the first handsome man you meet. The boy's eyebrows furrowed gently. Blaine licked his lips nervously before he noticed a white band across the boy's blue blazer. A strap. He followed it with his eyes until he saw the little cup. It was to hold a flag. This was the flag carrier of the United Stated. That means this was Kurt Hummel. The Kurt Hummel. Kurt cleared his throat and Blaine blinked away.

The little cup was also located somewhere near Kurt's crotch. Oh. Oh, oh. Blaine had been staring at- oh. Blaine blushed scarlet, meeting Kurt's eyes. Kurt gave him a nervous little smile. Blaine extended his hand. "Blaine. Blaine Anderson. Basketball player." Kurt's eyes lit up as he took Blaine's hand. "Kurt Hummel. Swimmer. You play with my brother!" Blaine just nodded dumbly as Kurt released his hand with a grin.

"So you wanna see the flag?" Blaine nodded eagerly and Kurt gestured him to follow. Blaine followed the short distance to the flag planted firmly in a special holder on the ground. He looked at it and then back to Kurt with a smile. "It's really pretty." Kurt shrugged. "It's just a flag, but your optimism is intriguing." Blaine chuckled a little, biting the inside of his cheek. "First time at the games, huh?" Kurt asked and Blaine nodded. "I've never seen something like this before. Everyone's so connected and united and we get to do what we love with the whole world cheering us- what?" Blaine gave a laughing Kurt a baffled look. Kurt shook his head and bit his bottom lip, trying to hold his laughter.

He looked at Blaine and tilted his head, his eyes wild and amused. "You're as adorable as they get, aren't you, Blaine Anderson, basketball player?"

Blaine blushed to the tips of his ears as he remembered a very important fact about Kurt Hummel- that he was very very openly gay.

End Notes: whoooooop, it's short. but we're just getting started fellas!
