Kurt sat on his sofa, for the 15th time that month. It was late at night and he couldn’t sleep. He was being tortured by images of Blaine and all their happy moments. Kurt felt the tears make their way, sloppily, down his cheeks. Why did Blaine have to go? Why did Blaine have to make such a stupid mistake? Kurt had often tried to forget about Blaine. Kurt had tried everything he could think of but nothing worked. Even a glimpse of Blaine being online on Facebook caused Kurt’s heart to skip a beat. He hoped so much that Blaine would chat him but at the same time, Kurt cursed him and wished that he would leave him alone. Why was it so hard to leave Blaine alone? Why couldn’t Kurt get it through his mind that it was over? Kurt rolled himself tightly into a ball and let the floodgates open. He knew that he would have to get over this but how? It hurt too much. Kurt felt like his heart was literally tearing itself in two. Why couldn’t it have been simple? Why couldn’t have Kurt and Blaine have a happy ever after? But maybe it’s because those don’t exist. Maybe they belong only in fairytales. Kurt’s eyes felt heavy after crying for so long and Kurt closed them for a moment. After a moment though, Kurt was fast asleep on the couch as the sun dared to show its face.
