Blaine was rushing through the NYC crowds. He loved the feeling of absolute freedom and excitement rushing through his veins as he turned another corner. Cooper had bought him a bike for no reason but Blaine thought it was guilt gift for missing his graduation. But Blaine was eager to try it out. Getting through the city was easier and faster on his bike too. It was a perk since his job was a little while away from his job. Blaine was rushing there now. He worked at a bakery called Sarah and he loved it. Making cupcakes, trying out new recipes and helping out customers were his favorite things to do. Even though he ended up eating most of the cupcakes he made. The owner of the place, Sarah, often shooed him out of the kitchen when he stole a cupcake or two from the fresh batch she had just made. Blaine chuckled softly under his breath. He was in a rush because Sarah said that if he got there early then she would let him try out this new cupcake flavor she was trying. It was some chocolately flavor and Blaine was giddy to try it out. He was a sucker for choclate. As Blaine thought of this, he didn't see a huge pothole right in front of him so as he breezed on, his front wheel got stuck inside the pothole and Blaine was sent flying. Blaine felt weightless for a moment before crashing back to the ground.
"Ouch." He said, as he laid on the pavement for a moment.
The city moved on around him and no one seemed to notice his epic fail. Blaine started to get up when he heard someone gasp and run up to him.
"Are you okay?" The high-pitched voice said.
Blaine looked up and noticed a beautiful man standing in front of him with beautifully coiffed hair and the most perplexing eyes Blaine had ever seen. Blaine didn't even know what to call them. They were indescribable. Blaine remembered that he was staring at this stranger like an idiot and cleared his throat.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a few cuts and bruises."
The other man nodded and held out his hand to help Blaine up. Blaine grabbed a hold of it, feeling a tingly feeling travel down his spine.
"Thanks." Blaine said, dusting himself off and looking around to find his bike. It was a few feet behind him on the side of the road, the front wheel bent with the spokes poking out.
"Oh my." The stranger said, noticing Blaine's bike at the same moment.
Blaine just shrugged and walked towards it. He picked it up, hoping that Cooper knew someone who could fix it.
"Well, there goes my Christmas present."
The other man laughed and nodded. "That's horrible luck. I'm sorry."
Blaine shook his head. "Don't worry about it. I'll get it fixed."
Blaine looked back at the man and they both just stared at each other for a moment. The stranger cleared his throat and shuffled his feet on the sidewalk. "Well, I should get going."
The other man started to leave when Blaine called out, "Hey! Wait!"
The man turned around and smiled at him. "Yes?"
Blaine walked up to him with his broken bike in one hand. "What's your name?"
The stranger with the beautiful eyes smiled and said, "Kurt."
Blaine nodded and offered his hand. "My name's Blaine."
Kurt grinned and said, "That's a beautiful name."
Blaine blushed and smiled sheepishly. "Thank you. Um, are you busy right now?"
Kurt cocked his head to the side with a slight smile playing on his lips. "No, I have time. May I ask why?"
Blaine bit his lip and said, "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to join me to taste the best cupcakes ever made in mankind."
This made Kurt chuckle. "The best cupcake ever made in mankind? Well, I could never pass that up!"
Blaine grinned and bounced on the balls of his feet. "Really?"
Kurt shook his head and looked at Blaine, adoringly. "Yes, really. Now, where are these cupcakes?"
Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand out of reflex and led him through the crowded sidewalk to the bakery. His bruises and cuts on his arms, hands and face forgotten as he led this beautiful stranger through the crowded streets of New York.
