Author's Notes: Hey guys, having some issues at the moment, so I will update, just maybe not daily, probably will though. This story is confusing me. I want to write loads, I just don't know how, so it's crap. Review it if you're feeling kind x
Kurt hasn't planned on telling anyone about this message, but now he was scared. Blaine wouldn't kill him; nightmares were nothing to be ashamed about everyone got them once in a while. Although Blaine did look really scared, he looked hopeless.

Kurt decided he would finish of the rest of his homework that day; it would also be good to have the room to himself. Although sharing with Blaine was like being alone, he never talked.

He sat at him desk and got out his pen, he tapped it against one of the books. Blaine's work was sitting in a neat pile next to his; he wondered when he has the time to do all this homework, since Kurt never saw him do any of it. He then got a bit distracted by the thought of him; he chewed his lip and started to think. What is wrong with the boy? Does he not like me, or does he like me? Why doesn't he speak? All these questions, but with no answers.

He then shook his head and tried to focus on his homework, he couldn't let this boy distract him. He chewed his lip some more before opening up the first book on the pile, something then caught his eye.

It was rather a sunny day and the blinds were open, the sun was just about shinning through and it made something glisten to the side of Kurt. He decided not to look, but the light was really bugging him. He sighed and looked over to the source of this glimmer. Blaine's draw was slightly open and inside was a shiny metal object, he wasn't quiet sure what it was though. He put the cap back on his pen and got up, no more distractions. He walked over to the open draw, he didn't want to look it wasn't any of his business. He closed the draw slowly trying to look away, he kept telling himself, "No, none of your business."

He felt a small tap on his shoulder he quickly spun around and came face to face with a very angry looking Blaine, crap, he was caught. The boy opened his mouth to speak, but instead he just went over to the whiteboard, "Stay out of my crap." Kurt took this as a warning, nodded and walked back over to the desk.

He shook his head; he could never do anything right by this boy, "I'm sorry, I'll just leave you alone." Blaine then walked over to him and looked down.

"Thank you," he spoke barely in a whisper. Kurt struggled to hear what the boy was saying, but his mouth dropped. The boy spoke?

Kurt tried to continue to study and do his homework, but he couldn't get Blaine of his mind. So he did speak, did he speak to anyone else? This boy was a real mystery.

"Don't you get lonely," Kurt blurted out. Crap, why did I say that, he thought. Blaine looked up from staring at the floor, tilted his head as if he was trying to take in the question.

He wondered if he was going to answers him, but Blaine was already making his way to the white board above their door. He took the pen and wrote in big black bold letters, "Y E S."

"Kurt felt really sad for the boy, he seemed truly alone. "Then why don't you let people in."

He tapped the pen a little while and then wrote down his reply, "Because no one cares."

"I care," he argued, but he was cut off by the sound of the pen squeaking on the board.

"You don't truly care, no one does," and with that he left.

Kurt didn't believe this was true, but to be honest all he really wanted was answers. He wanted to care though, he felt terrible and just wanted to help him. What is the boy was depressed, what if he had a bad child hood, why was he sent to Dalton?

Kurt finished off his homework, he decided just to leave the boy alone. He went to his bed and plonked his body in face first. Life with Blaine was going to be hard, he was one big puzzle. He then remembered his draw, crap that was going to bug him, what was in that draw. Blaine has left and he assumed he wasn't going to be back awhile, no; no he should stay out of his things. One look wouldn't hurt though, would it? He got up slowly and stood next to draw, he felt a pang of guilt for what he was about to do.

He opened up the draw slowly, eyes glued waiting for what he was about to find. In the draw lay a small knife and a key, crap; he should not be doing this. Why did Blaine have a knife, he wouldn't hurt anybody, also what was the key for he didn't see any locks?

He picked the knife up slowly and ran it against his fingers, it had been used before. Small specks of blood were still on the handle and the actual blade had been washed. Why on earth did Blaine have a knife, more importantly why did it have blood on it? He wished he never opened the draw, it would have best not known.

He heard a thump and he jogged, sending the blade into his fingers. "Crap," he shouted and turned round to see Blaine staring at him, he was caught, again. He looked down at his hands, oh god, blood. He felt really dizzy, he wanted to throw up, black.

He woke up to the sound of shuffling, oh god, Blaine was going to kill him. Wait, where was Blaine? He sat up slowly and looked at his hand; someone had put a bandage on it. He was on his bed and the bathroom door was slightly open, he could see Blaine inside. The knife was still on the table, red from his blood, he felt sick.

Blaine walked out with a glass, "You're a nosy idiot, aren't you," he whispered as he gave Kurt the glass. He took it gratefully and gulped down the water, he then wiped his mouth with his sleeve.

"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to snoop, and well I did. Why do you have a knife in your draw?" He rambled, setting the near empty glass aside.

"Does it matter, why I have a knife in my draw, you should stay out of my things," he replied angrily.

Kurt hung his head, he felt really bad. Blaine would never trust him now, he wasn't sure he wanted him to trust him either. He didn't feel safe, all this time he has been sleeping next to a boy with a knife in his draw, and he didn't even know. What if Blaine was planning to kill him, crap, no, Blaine wouldn't kill him. That didn't explain the knife, but he didn't want to pry.

"As I said, I'm really sorry. I just wanted to know more about you, that's all." He said guilty.

Blaine took a moment, "You could of just asked, but as I said. No one cares, so don't pretend you do. Life is rough even without you going through my things. Stop trying to be my friend, you share a room with me that's it, don't mess up my life or I'll mess up yours. I just want to be left alone."

This was the most he ever heard Blaine talk, and the words rang in his ears. What did he mean life was rough? Why did he was want to be left alone if he was alone, he didn't even try.

Kurt nodded and looked at the time, it was getting late. "Sweet dreams, Blaine," he whispered, before he climbed into bed and fell sound asleep. That night he had nightmares of his own, scared that Blaine would attack him in his sleep. Unlike Blaine who didn't sleep at all that night, he stayed awake and locked himself in the bathroom, Kurt could hear him in his sleep, but there was nothing he could do. Blaine chose this for himself, it was nothing to do with Kurt and that was best.

He woke up and saw that the bathroom door was locked, he was already late for class and he really needed to use the toilet. He banged on the door hoping that Blaine would come out, but no answer. "Blaine if you don't open this door, I will have no choice but to come in," he shouted, but still no reply. Kurt was dying for the toilet now and he figured Blaine would only be asleep, nothing bad could happen. He stood back a little before running into the door and slamming it with his shoulder, the door flew open and he landed on the floor. He groaned a little and made a mental note to never ever do that again, the floor was filthy.

He walked over to the toilet and looked over at the bath, why was Blaine sitting fully clothed in the bath? Was he okay? Kurt took a few steps forward and held his shaky hand out, "Blaine, are you okay?" No reply. He put his hand on Blaine's shoulder and shook him gently, he still didn't move though. Crap, what was he going to do.
