Just chill the fuck out. Give him a chance. He may be nice, you haven’t really paid any attention to him. Not when you’re not being a bitch to him. So give him a chance.
But he’s annoying and short and Blaine and–
Was Quinn really right? Have you really lost your damn balls? Like what is your problem?
Well if I have a problem it means you do too, so.
There were way too many different voices and opinions in Kurt’s head. It almost made him dizzy. The worst part was that he really didn’t know which voice he thought was right. All of them sort of had a point.
And he knew that he was overthinking it all. He had to stop it, or it’d get in the way of him at least trying to have a good time. And who knows, maybe the hobbit wouldn’t even show up at all. Maybe he just said yes and then wouldn’t come to upset him or something?
“Just as I thought. You’re already here.” Or maybe he said yes because he actually planned on coming.
“Well you know, wanted to have a chance in having a good time before you showed up to ruin the night.” Kurt smiled, turning on the barstool to face his company for the night.
“Mm, smart.” the hobbit nodded. “You haven’t bought anything to drink?”
“No. It’s school night and I drove here.”
Blaine chuckled. “Responsible are we?”
“Well sometimes you have to be.”
“And you’ve gone to school hungover so many times you’ve started to realize it really sucks?”
“…Yeah. That too.”
“So can I buy you a beer?” Kurt raised an eyebrow. “Oh come on, you asked me to come so at least let me buy you a drink.”
“I just said I don’t drink on school nights. And don’t act like this is a date. ‘Cause it sure as hell isn’t.”
“One beer. Come on.” Blaine gave him his best puppy eyes and Kurt snorted, but agreed on the offer. One of the heavier-weighting reasons to why he didn’t usually get shitfaced on weekdays was ‘cause he didn’t have any money. It obviously happened that he got some guy to buy him something every now and then, but he usually skipped it. Because hangovers and school really was a match made in hell.
“Why’d you ask me to come here tonight anyways?” Blaine asked once they’d got their beers.
“I don’t know? Does it have to be a reason for everything?”
“No I guess not, I just –you’ve made it pretty clear you hate me. And I sorta don’t like you either. So I just wondered if there was any specific reason.”
“You don’t like me?” Kurt looked at him with sad eyes. “That really hurts my feelings. I thought everyone liked me.”
“If you’re trying to make people like you, you’re doing things extremely wrong.” the smaller boy said, raising his glass in the gesture of making a toast, nodding his head towards Kurt.
Their conversation died out, and the two were left in an almost awkward silence. Though it was really hard since they were at Scandlas. Awkward silences didn’t really exist in places like that.
“Let’s play a game.” Blaine suggested after a he’d finished his drink.
“Say what?” Kurt muttered back to him.
“A game. You know; for fun.”
“Uh-hu?”
“Let’s say... we both find someone then see who manages to score first?”
Kurt laughed. “Wait, are you serious?”
“Well we both know that the main reason why we’re here is because we want to find someone to get off with. So why not just make a game out of it?”
“So we’re gonna find someone that we both… approve of, and then we’re gonna, what? See who can get to him first?”
“That wasn’t how I planned it from the start, but sure. Sounds like fun, so why not?”
It took the two boys quite a while to find anybody. Kurt himself had already fucked just about everyone that came to Scandals who wasn’t too old. And there were only that many he was interested enough to go for a second round with, and even fewer that Blaine gave his ‘approval’.
“What about him then?”
“Gives awful head. Felt more like he was trying to bite my dick off than getting me off.” Blaine shivered, giving him a look.
“What? I fell for his looks, just like you did. So don’t look at me like that.”
“It wasn’t that.”
“Than what was it?”
“You really have fucked every man under thirty in this town haven’t you?”
“Not everyone. I mean I’m just one little lonely boy and there’s a lot of unattractive guys here. But yeah, I have been with a lot of them.”
“How do you keep yourself… clean?”
“Well I don’t know if you know about this. But there’s this really smart thing that someone has invented. What’s it called…? Oh yeah, a condom. Ever heard about that?” Kurt smiled.
“Right, no, can’t really say I know what it is.” Blaine answered thoughtfully.
“He’s new.” the taller of the two said and pointed.
“He’s hot.” the other agreed.
“He is.”
“Shall we, then?”
“Oh it is so on.” Kurt grinned smugly. “Wait, what do I get when I win?”
“You get to take that really hot guy over there to the bathroom or wherever else you feel like taking him? You get to get your dick sucked by him or whatever else you please to do? Doesn’t that seem like enough to you?”
“Well, maybe.” he shrugged, downing the last mouth of his beer and looked over to where Blaine was already flirting with the boy that had now become their price in one of the silliest games Kurt had ever been a part of.
But even if it was stupid, he still played along. And it was surprising to him how easy it actually was to keep his everything, really, under control. He’d thought it’d be so much harder than it actually proved to be.
Kurt lost their little game, much to his frustration. It hadn’t taken long. The hobbit had won big time and the cyan eyed boy was not pleased. He wasn’t used to being turned down, let alone turned down because there was someone of more interest of said guy. It had never happened before, actually.
“Santana? What the fuck?” Quinn groaned, leaning against the front door sleepily.
“Hey.” smiled, smiled, the girl. “Can I come in?”
“…Sure?”
The brunette took a quick little step inside, unzipping her jacket and throwing it at the floor. She looked around the room, which was practically the whole apartment, then shuddered and picked her jacket back up.
“It’s fucking freezing here man.” she groaned.
“I know.” Quinn muttered, rewrapping her blanket around her body.
“Where’s Kurt?”
“Where do you think?” she asked with an eye-roll.
“Scandals. Of course.”
“Yeah. And shouldn’t you be there too? I mean isn’t that where you normally spend your nights?”
“Well yeah. But not tonight.”
“Why?”
“I need to talk to you.”
“You need to talk to me?” Quinn asked skeptically.
“Yeah.”
“’bout what?” she asked when the girl wouldn’t answer, honestly needing some help to get started.
“You haven’t changed your mind, right?” the Latino asked.
“Haven’t changed my mind about what?”
“The baby.”
“…No? Why would I?”
“Well one can always hope.” Santana smiled.
“Look if you came here just to bitch about this, get the fuck out.” Quinn made a move to stand back up, ready to force Santana to leave.
“Don’t worry, Q, I’m not that big of a bitch.”
“You’re not?” she raised an eyebrow and the girl sitting with her back rested against the wall gave her the finger.
“No but I seriously came here to talk to you. Like serious talk.”
“What, why?”
“Have you talked to Kurt about it?”
“It? What the fuck are you on right now, Lopez? Learn the language then come back again.”
“I mean that you can’t stay here.”
“What the heck’s that supposed to mean?”
“Look. You know you can’t. This place,” Santana shot up her arms to gesture around the room. “I mean –you know you won’t be able to stay here over winter.”
“…No, I guess you’re right. But –why do you care? I mean, you don’t even want me to keep my child?”
“Please don’t call it a child yet.” the girl muttered, silently enough to not being heard by Quinn. “I know. But I’m still your friend.” she said, a little hesitantly, Santana didn’t like calling people around her her ‘friends’, but in that moment it was necessary.
“And I know what would happen to you if anything happened to your… child. So I’ve decided to ignore the fact that I think you're a total idiot for not getting an abortion as quick as possible, and I’m gonna help. I guess.”
“Help? Help how?”
“Well… mom’s agreed on letting you stay at our place until the baby’s born.”
“Your mom?” Quinn snorted.
“I know you don’t like her, and you know I don’t really either. But she’s a nurse and my ‘family’ lives in a house. It could really help you a lot.”
“I guess… How did you make her agree anyways?” the pink-haired girl asked.
“She hates doing stuff for me, but the thing she would hate even more, was if I were to –woops, slip my tongue during one of our little family meetings.”
“I thought the all knew already?”
“Oh they know, but that’s not what I meant by happening to slip my tongue. I meant that I may not be able to keep it away from Brittany’s mouth.” Santana smiled innocently and Quinn shook her head.
“What’s she doin’ here?” asked Kurt’s voice from the door and Quinn turned around.
“She just –came by for a little talk.”
“A little talk? What is this?”
“Don’t worry, Hummel, I’ll leave now.” Santana stepped beside Kurt to get outside. “Think about it?” she said before walking back to her car that stood parked on the road outside.
“Think about what?” Kurt asked with a look on his face as he closed the door.
“Nothing.” mumbled the girl and lay down.
“Why’re you here anyways?” she carried on, changing the subject.
“Well I don't know, maybe ‘cause I live here?”
“You know what I mean.” Quinn yawned.
“I just didn’t feel like staying, that’s all.”
“Really? That’s all? You sure?”
“Yes, I'm sure.”
“’Cause you usually don’t come back before the sun starts rising again.”
“Well today I didn’t.”
Quinn gave up; it was obvious that Kurt didn’t want to talk about it, whatever it was. And she really was tired and needed to sleep. But it was hard, Santana’s words echoed in her head again and again.
Would she really be forced to move out? Would she have to leave Kurt here alone?
She didn’t like the thought, but at the same time she knew that Santana had been right. She wouldn’t be able to keep living like this for much longer, not if she cared for her child’s health.
But what about Kurt? Would he really be able to handle living here alone? She knew that he wouldn’t tell her ‘no’ if that was the case, he was way too proud for that.
“Look, thanks for the offer, but I just really don’t feel like going to your place.”
“Why not? Don’t you want me?”
“Well –not really. Not anymore at least.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that I’m not interested in you anymore. I mean that I lost that interest the minute I came. ‘Kay?”
“You’re such a jerk.” spat the guy and turned to walk away.
“Maybe I am. But at least I'm not needy.” Blaine grumbled and walked back to the bar, really wanting Kurt to be there so he could seriously abuse him for setting him up with that whiny little thing. He had defiantly looked a thousand times more interesting than he had been, Blaine didn’t even know the guy’s name, barely knew his face even, hadn’t bothered looking.
But Kurt wasn’t there. He’d probably pissed off when Blaine won their little ‘game’, as he’d called it.
“That fucking wimp.” he chuckled, grabbing a of some reason abandoned whisky shot sitting on one of the tables, downing it and ordering another beer.
The bell rang and Kurt could see Blaine caving over his desk, covering his ears with a pained look on his face. Finding it a tiny bit amusing, he walked over to the boy, sitting down across from his desk.
“Headache?” he asked
“What do you want?”
“Just trying to be friendly, as you usually put it.”
“Well put your friendliness somewhere else. This really isn’t a good time.”
“Why not?”
“Don’t you worry about it Kurtie, I’m just –“
“Hungover as fuck.” Kurt finished.
“…Yeah, I guess.” a tired looking Blaine groaned.
“I told you it isn’t good to drink your brains out on a school night.”
“And who the hell are you to give advice to me?” the hobbit laughed quietly, causing him to groan and grab his head again.
“Let’s get you to the bathroom so you can drink some cold water shall we?”
“What?” Blaine asked in confusion.
“I don’t know. Just come with me.” the taller muttered and the two of them walked out of the English classroom together. Weird.
“Well, well, well, seems like the two of you finally found each other, eh?” Kurt sighed and opened his mouth, ready to tell the jock off, but someone did it before he could.
“Really, Karofsky? That’s your big comeback?” Blaine sighed heavily before turning around, his face changing entirely.
“You’ve been home from school for over a week, and just when I got used to not see your face every day, once I finally accepted that what we had meant nothing to you, then you come back and you –“ Kurt looked over at the other boy in a amusement, the guy really was quick with the comebacks, he almost had to admit that the two were probably on the same level when it came to that.
“You come back and insult me like that? How could you do that to me? To us? Of course I’m not with him! How could I ever when you’re still –“ With an angry growl, David pushed the short guy into the row of lockers behind him with what seemed to be all he had. Blaine gasped quietly as his back hit the hard metal, the padlocks pressing into his skin. But it was nothing compared to what he’d been through, so he quickly recollected himself, quick enough for no other than himself noticing that he’d been in pain.
Kurt nearly flinched when Karofsky pushed the hobbit into the red lockers, but Blaine himself didn’t seem to give a single crap about it. But he caught a look in the shorter’s eye, it disappeared the moment he saw it, and he was sure he was the only one who’d seen it too. Because Kurt knew that glint, he knew that when Dave used that much force to shove you, it did hurt. He knew the feeling of the locks being pressed into your back, and he knew what it was like to feel like it didn’t matter. Because he’d faced worse, so that was nothing. He was, to be honest, a little surprised how well he knew the look, how much he could tell from it even if it had only been there for a fragment of a second. And it was surprising for him to see it in Blaine’s eyes, of some reason. Sure, the guy was what you might call tough, but Kurt just thought that that was all totally fake, that he was only doing this –whatever it was– for shits and giggles so to speak, it was basically what he’d told him anyways.
And maybe he was. Maybe he was only overthinking things. It had sort of become his new thing lately anyways.
Blaine lifted his head up and looked up at the much bigger teenager.
“You know that’s a really bad way to treat your loved ones.” he said in a small voice, having troubles not to grin at the anger flickering in the football players eyes.
“Shut the hell up faggot.” Karofsky hissed. His jaws were clenched, his left hand grabbing onto Blaine's t-shirt and his right one just under his face, knot tightly into a big fist.
“Or what? You gonna hit me? Sure you want to do that big guy?” the hazel eyed boy asked sweetly. That tone really was the his best weapon. He knew it was, knew how pissed people got, how small and worthless he could make people feel if he wanted to. He’d learned it from being a victim of it himself after all; it had always been his mother’s most common tone of voice when she spoke to him.
“Don’t push me.” threatened David.
“Sure. Just let me go and nobody gets hurt, that seem good to you?”
“No.”
“No? Okay, then I guess I’ll just have to –Kurt you kno–“ An insanely angry looking Karofsky then let go of Blaine and walked out of there like his ass was on fire.
“What was that about?” Kurt ad to ask as they entered one of the school’s many bathrooms. A boy with face really out of interest to Kurt stood by one of the sinks washing his hands as they entered, but he was out the doors in the blink of an eye without drying off his hands, the water still running. Blaine walked over to it, putting his face under the flow.
“What’s what about what?” he asked, wiping off his face with his sleeve.
“What you threatened to tell me I guess? I mean it almost looked and sounded as if you were about to out the jerk or something.”
“I was.” he shrugged nonchalantly and Kurt’s chin fell down to the floor.
“You –him? Well that’s disturbing.” he muttered, thinking about the teasing he’d done with that boy to piss him off. So the thought that David Karofsky was actually a fag like him and Blaine, that meant that he was attracted to other males, just like them, and that meant that when Kurt was going all sexy or whatever in front of him, the guy maybe actually…
Oh my whatever’s up there no way I’ll let that image into my brain.…Too late. Fuck my life.
He made a little grimace at the mental image his mind had just created, and turned to Blaine, who once again stood with his head under the flowing water, humming quietly.
“Howdyou know anyways?”
“Saw him in his car outside Scandals the other week. He just sort of sat there and stared at the entrance but seemed too scared to go in or something. Bet he thought about the fact that he’d probably run into one of us. Of course the thought that we were able to exit the building once we were inside never really seemed to have crossed his mind, so I saw him when I left.”
“And by that you know he’s a fag?”
“Well I don't know,” Blaine muttered, slurping the water he'd collected in his palms. “But what the hell else was he doin’ there? I mean if he hates us so much, why go to the only place in town where he knows just about all of us are? Seems pretty stupid even for him.”
“Unless he planned on locking the doors and setting fire to the building.” Kurt suggested with a tiny glint of a smile.
“That does sound like a good idea.” the other teen mumbled thoughtfully, deciding that he was done with the water.
“You know what, I think that we could actually have a pretty good time together, if we just stopped our bitching.” he said then, not really knowing where the words came from.
“In your dreams, Frodo.” Kurt turned around and walked away just about as fast as Karofsky had a couple of minutes ago.
And so the blue eyed boy’s walls were up stronger than ever again. So he hated everything that had happened the past half hour or so. So he hated himself for letting his guard down as much as he had. It wasn’t good for him. Especially not around someone like Blaine.
And maybe it was all stupid and childish, maybe he’d lost his balls as Quinn had put it, but he didn’t want to get close to Blaine. Didn’t even want to get to know him. There was no need to anyways. He was doing just fine as things were now.

Please don't feel so bad about it, sweety! We all know real life comes first and honestly, this is still one of the most regularly updating story I follow. Heck, we're just lucky you even wanna share your talent with us, so please don't stress about it :)This was a wonderful update. And poor Kurt if/when Quinn moves out - which Santana is absolutely right in that she should.
Aw thank you, it feels really good to know you feel that way. :) I'm just that kind of person I guess, feeling bad about stuff that sometimes has nothing to do with me. And I get stressed and feel like people judge me pretty easily, I guess.. A part of peing a teenager and all that.So thank you, really. Can't tell you how happy this review made me. xxYeah, I'm really a horrible person for putting poor Kurtie through everything.. but I ain't even sorry ^^ or maybe a little
