“IT'S TODAY! UNCLE BLAINE ITS TODAY!” Landin comes screeching into the room I'm being holed up in with my parents and cooper, Santana twirling in and out every so often just to rile me, or Cooper, up before escaping back to the ‘dress room'.

“Hey Lan! Why you so excited huh? Got your little girlfriend coming?” Cooper starts to taunt him and he immediately turns a bright shade of red. “Aww little Landin has a girlfriend! Landin has a OH! Hi Jake, why don't you give me my little beau and I'll go teach her how to trip the twins up with her basket.” He makes to grab her but our parents get her first, babbling about going to find Burt and Carole. Jake lets her go happily, before turning his fiery gaze to Cooper.

“You upsetting my kid?” His eyes narrow, as Landin's hand slides into Coop's jacket pocket. Lifting out a ten dollar bill and sliding it in to his pocket, before taking his seat and smiling at me.

“No! Just a little teasing between friends, right Klepto?” Coopers amused gaze turns around to Landin and holds out his hand. “Cough it up dude!” Landin grumbles, scooping the note back out his pocket and in to Cooper's hand.

“Hold up what was that?!” I ask confused, Jake looks just as gobsmacked.

“ARE YOU TEACHING MY CHILD TO PICKPOCKET?!”

“YEAH! He got taught on his new show! I almost had it this time!” Landin high fives him.

“You did bud, let's give it a go on Grandpa Burt later huh?!” Cooper is too caught up with congratulating Landin to notice Jake cornering him. Things moved quickly, and before I knew it Cooper was huddled in the foetal position with Jake crouched in over the top of him.

“Why did you think it would be acceptable to teach my nine year old to pick pocket?!?!?!” He wasn't shouting, which would make you think Cooper was safe, but anyone that had witnessed Jake minutes before a big event? Could tell you his ‘quiet' voice had more venom than any one you had ever mets ‘loud' one.

“Okay. You're pissed, like not Cooper smashed the birthday cake pissed, but more ‘Oh! Cooper hit on the Lesbian teacher at school pissed. I get that, I really do, but you need to consider what day it is. More importantly? You need to think about whose day it is!” I smile to myself, thinking he is about to make a plea about not spoiling my big day, or a statement of love for me. Anything other than what I actually here. “Oh yeah! It's Kurt's big day! And one thing I'm pretty sure was in that laminated sheet of rules he gave us all? was no family deaths! Now, as much as I'm sure that you would really like to, I don't know, stab that tie pin in to my heart! I'm pretty sure that would make it stop beating. Which would then mean that yours would stop beating, or your pretty little head would spill on to the floor when Kurt found out what you had done to me and came at you in all his Groomzilla force!”

“Err there is a child present!” I half- heartedly announce to them, knowing they would ignore me.

“It wouldn't be his actual head that spilled on the floor, it would be his body fluids!” I realise then that Landin is right beside me, and I don't know how he got there.

“Did you steal money out of my pocket?” I lean in to whisper to him, Jake and Cooper continue their verbal battle in the corner.

“No Uncle Blaine, Coop said only to do it when he's there. I know it's not a good thing!” He smiles in the smug way his nine year old self has mastered. “Are you scared?”

“To marry your Uncle Kurt?”

“No! Your soulmates! You tell me that all the time!” He rolls his eyes, a trait he learned from Kurt and Santana. “I mean that todays the day Uncle Kurt finds out! You said you were giving it to him today!”

“Oh that, yeah kind of terrified.” I ring my hands nervously. “Actually you need to go hide the stuff, do you remember where it is?” A quick nod of his head and he is sprinting out the door and down the hallway. I turn back as the argument reaches its peak.

“I swear to everything I hold dear Cooper, you tell him to stop doing it NOW! Or that cute nurse I invited? Finds out about the time I had to get you referred to a clinic for STD's!” Each initial has Jake poking Cooper harder in the chest. “Landin? Uncle Coop has something to sa- hey! Where'd he go?” They have both turned round to realise that Landin has vanished.

“He had important wedding things to deal with…” I start making my way over, squeezing in between them to avoid any more nudges. “So, are we able to act like calm, mature adults?”

“Maybe I can!” Jake looks to cooper in disgust, before continuing. “But your brother? Needs a few more decades to get there!”

“HEY! I resent that! I'm at least more mature than Finn!”

“Finn never taught my child to steal from relatives!”

“Okay, I can feel this is just going to keep coming round in circles, but it's my wedding day. Sure I don't throw wobbles and shout like Kurt does, but I don't want to be like Annalise!” I start slowly edging them to the door.

“Anna who?” Cooper asks in confusion.

“The lawyer in How to get away with murder?” Jake searches his face for recognition. “Oh god could you be anymore straight?”

“Nope, unless you want me to go get laid now?”

“Enough! I have a million things to do and you're just getting in my way. Cooper go get a drink, hit on a barmaid, I don't know! Just go be a quieter, more reserved you okay? Great!” I push him out of the door before he can argue, then look at Jake. “Why don't you go check on Lydia? Just don't go looking for Landin, I know where he is and he is safe. He is also not pick pocketing any of my distant relations!”

His eyes narrow in on me. “When am I going to find out what you're using my son for? You're being even more weird and in sync than usual!”

“Soon! Just don't try to find him just now! Everything will be clear soon!” I throw him out the door and shut it, hard. Leaning back onto it, I take a deep breath and close my eyes. “At least Kurt's morning will be going better than mine…”

*******************

“Get out of the way Santana!”

“Kurt, darling you need to just take a breath and put the scissors down!” Mrs B yells into my ear, tugging sharply on my hand in an effort to get the scissors out of my reach.

“I am calm, I JUST WANT RACHEL TO OPEN THE GOD DAMN DOOR!!” I try to take another step towards the door and this time Maya leaps in front of Santana to make another guard, both of them looking pointedly at my hand. “FINE I'LL PUT DOWN THE SCISSORS! But I just want to say, it's hurtful you think I'm capable of injuring my best friend-“

“I'm your best friend!” Santana cuts me off as I set the scissors on the dressing table.

“YEAH AND THE SCAR ON HER CHIN IS FROM WHEN YOU THREW A SHOE AT HER!!!” Comes out from behind the door where Rachel is hiding, dressed in just her underwear.

“YOU CAN'T HAVE AN OPINION IF YOU'RE IN ANOTHER ROOM!!” I scream back at her, just then the door swings open and Finn comes in clutching a giant palm across his eyes, reaching out across the door frame with his other hand to make sure he didn't walk in to something. “YOU!!”

“Kurt don't get mad, I just need to ask Rachel where the twins comforter is. I covered my eyes so I can't peak at the dresses, or accidentally see Santana naked again!” Finn starts walking towards my voice, that laid back pace that he has and I see red.

“Don't get mad Kurt! That's all you can say?!”

“Finn if you value your package I'd get out of here. Like now!” Santana makes her way to hold Finn's elbows stopping him from getting to anybody else, well not anybody else. Me.

“Whoa! What's got your panties in a bunch? You all have that Kurt's gone psycho look on your faces…. Wait little bro! What have you done?!” He looks at me in fear. The nerve of some people!

“What have I done? What have I done!-“

“Kurt you're going to the screechy place again darling!” Mrs B chirps in from the corner while the girls stay still, probably waiting for the nuclear reaction.

“WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE MORE LIKE!!” I start in on him again but Santana jumps in front of him, Maya is in the corner whisper through the door, probably giving Rachel an over exaggerated version of what is happening.

“I only ate one of the cupcakes! Mom said you wouldn't notice…”

“I'm not talking about fucking cupcakes. I'm talking about you putting your penis in her vagina and not using protection!!!” I'm right at him now staring up into his terrified gaze.

“All the bleach in the world won't get that image out my head!” Santana shuddered.

“You're telling me!” Maya pipes up from behind her. “He's like a giant manatee and she's a small and squirrelly.”

“HEY I HEARD THAT!!”

“YOU DOONT GET A SAY IN THERE!” I screech back at Rachel, then turn my attention back to Finn.

“Okay… So I might have news?” He grins, warily moving towards me to hug me in those giant arms. “You're gonna be an uncle! How cute, huh? Another little baby to dress up? Maybe two-“

“I AM NOT PUSHING TWO MORE CHILDREN WITH YOUR HEAD OUT OF ANY ORRIFICE ON MY BODY FINN HUDSON!”

“Why am I the one right beside the door she's behind? I think I'm deaf.“ Maya whines finally moving away from the door and flopping down beside Mrs B.

“Okay so one baby! But we won't tell everyone today! It's still you and Blaine's big day! No thunder has been stolen happy?” Finn smiles then frowns at me, finally realising. “Wait how did you find out?” This has me moving over to the now unguarded bathroom door and knocking.

“Rachel? Come out? I promise I have put the scissors down.” We all watch with baited breath as the door clicks, the handle turns and Rachel comes out in her dress. “Turn? I promise I won't get mad!” she obliges, turning to show the gap in the back of her dress. “Her chest has went up almost two cup sizes in a month. The last time that happened she was pregnant with the twins…”

“Oh. I'm sorry bro it's not liked we planned it you know?” Finn looks sincere but he can't stop the grin.

“Kurt, how long till the wedding starts?” Rachel asks with a wobbly voice.

“Forty minutes, so suck it up we can't redo make up and fix the dress in that time. My sewing kit Maya?” I hold my hand out and she passes it wordlessly. “I'm so happy for you both.” My voice wobbles too, but we all ignore it. Finn grabbing the twin's comforter, then leaving and Santana breathing out a disgruntled sigh. “What Tan?”

“I was kinda hoping Finn would at least get a black eye is all!”

********************************

“There's the man we're all waiting on!” I boom walking into Blaine's room.  Startling him out of his thoughts as he looks out the window.  “How you doing kid?” I ask wondering to the plush arm chair and sitting into it with a sigh.

“I'm good. Yeah. Good” he mumbles coming to sit in front of me.

“Terrified?”

“Why is that?” he jumps on my suggestion straight away. “I have never been surer that I was put on this earth to love him, to be loved by him, for all of eternity in any other lives or after life places there will actually be? I know for sure that my one goal in life is to spend every day loving him. But here I am, minutes away from my wedding and I feel like I'm about to throw up I'm so nervous. And why is that?” his eyes search mine for a definite answer.

“Well first off, I can't tell you how nice that is to here from your future son in law, even though it has been written all over your face when you look at Kurt since you were three. It's still nice to here!” I lean over to pat his knee, earning me a smile. “Secondly it's normal! When I married Lizzy, and Carole for that matter! My heart was beating so fast I almost had a heart attack, even though I knew with both of them it was where I was meant to be. It's scary because it shows the world that your love each other more than anyone else, that you want to be together for every smile, every tear, every obstacle you will ever face. That's all it is. When you see him it will all fall away and you won't ever remember why you were so scared in the first place. Trust your future dad!”

“Please tell me this remains between us?”

“Kid? I have just come from a Kurt melt down. He won't be mad you're scared.” I chuckle, then remember why I came. “Soo, Kurt has also had a melt down over the fact that Rachel's pregnant and he's been sewing her into her dress!”

“Okay, good. I'm ready to head out just let me get – wait! Rachel's pregnant?” His jaw drops open. “Wow I didn't know they were finding time to get laid! Sorry. Forgot who I was talking too.”

“I'm pretty clear on how you make a baby, kid. Seeing as I made the one your marrying.” He screws his face up at that. “Okay enough of that talk. You wanna tell me why Landin had a huge envelope hidden in his tux earlier?”

“Nice try! It's our secret.” He stands then, to grab his jacket and slides it on. “Oh hey, while I remember? Hide your wallet in Carole's purse. We have a budding thief in our midst!”

“Let's go get you hitched! I've only been waiting 20 odd years!”

**********************************

“Okay, listen up!” Santana starts quietly, tapping her spoon on her champagne flute, no one was listening though. Too busy catching up over their delicious gourmet meals. “SHUT UP!”

“Oh my god, I gave her a laminate of rules and she's broken one already!” I hiss to Blaine, a plastered smile on my face.

“Breathe, husband!” he whispers back, running a finger along the shell of my ear, causing my body to thrum with pleasure. “I'll kick her leg if she goes too far.”

“FINALLY!” she screams a little louder, probably to shut us up before continuing. “So for those of you who don't know who I am? I'm Santana Lopez, and yes. I was on Oprah! But anyway today isn't about me. And don't worry, I'll be a lot more entertaining than the romantic bull shit Daddy D spouted during the service…”

“And now she's swearing! Why the hell did I think amplifying her would be a good idea?”  I turn to Blaine again, gripping tightly onto his hand.

“Kurt? Calm down. We just have to get through this speech and then it's time to dance. Plus I have a little surprise for you too-“

“You don't think they're going to improvise a dance number, do you?” His eyes, open wide at the thought, a laugh goes around the room making us join in on auto pilot. “Wait! A surprise? What kind of surprise?” I narrow my eyes at him in suspicion.

“You'll find out later, husband of mine!” he leans in to press a lingering kiss on my lips, causing those never ending butterflies to start going once more.

“It's kind of exciting, huh? That this is it? Like the start of forever!”

“I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else. I love you Peachy.”

“I love you too, Bumble!”

“GUYS?! YOU MIGHT ASWELL GO FUCK EACH OTHER NOW!” Santana screams over the micro phone causing a few gasps, and my dad to splutter his drink on the table, but right now I could only focus on Blaine.

**********************

“Don't!” the meal was over and so, thank god, was the speeches. Santana had been put on an adult time out by Landin, which amused everyone endlessly. Now all our guests were dancing around to the house band, using me and Blaine as an oversized pass the parcel set. I was currently swaying with my dad, well trying to sway in some sort of order, I had long stopped trying to make excuse for Burt Hummel's failures on the dance floor.

“You don't even know what I was gonna – “

I cut him off quickly. “I know every single one of your Burt Hummel moves dad, your about to give me this incredibly heart felt speech about how much mom would have loved this, how happy you are that Blaine finally got his foot out his ass and made me his. Well, maybe not quite in those words, before telling me how proud you are of me and how much you love me, before we both become a bubbling mess, unable to talk to anyone else for an hour. Keep it until tomorrow okay? So we can howl and be ridiculous messes all day together and not when there is a photographer taking pictures okay? Good. Now spin me!” he does as asked, extending his arm and twirling me round before pulling me back in.

“What I was going to say was, has Blaine given you your surprise yet?” He raises his eyebrows at me as if to say, aha! Not what you expected.

“No!” I groan out my annoyance at this point, he told me about it two hours ago. So for two hours I have been obsessing in a way only I know how! “Wait, how do you know?”

“He's been running off for secret meetings with Landin for months now, and before you think it don't bother. Jake and Dale are just as clueless as we all are. Landin hasn't so much as hinted what they're up too.” My dad spins us around on the spot, so we both get a glimpse of Blaine and Landin dancing in the corner, conspiracy whisperings going between each other. Lydia, dancing around their feet throwing confetti at the twins.

“Hmm, I don't know what they're up to but if I don't find out soon I'm going to explode.” We sway in silence until Dale heads towards us and I realise our time is up. “I love you dad to the moon.

He looks into my eyes, his watering and hisses my forehead. “And back kid!” before moving off to steal Lydia and Dale pulls me into his arms, I automatically lean my head on to his shoulder. We move to the beat for a minute before Dale starts to talk.

“How funny that if you asked me at twenty five who I wanted to marry it would be you, and here we are at your wedding to Blaine and I don't think I could be any happier if I tried. Its funny isn't it? How life takes you by surprise?” I can hear the smile in his voice.

“I think, I couldn't imagine having anyone else marrying us today. You changed that seventeen year olds life you know? And for that I am eternally grateful.” I sigh in content as the beat changes and a new strain of music comes through the speakers,

“Don't go getting all sentimental on me! This isn't a goodbye. You couldn't get rid of me and my family if you tried. I'm so happy you let me be a part of this day and everything I said in the ceremony was true.”

“Quoting Winnie the pooh was ingenious, just so you know.”

“Oh believe me, I know! Landin imparted that little nugget of wisdom, so I can't even take full credit, but I think the sentiment hit the spot.” We both giggle thinking back over the memory of his speech, before he interrupts my thought. “So what's next for the Hummel-Andersons?”

“Is it wrong that I get the biggest thrill hearing someone say that? It's so stupid, I mean, it's just our names strung together but I have never felt as happy as I do hearing people calling us that.” I feel him chuckle, shaking his head that no, it isn't silly. “As for the future, I'm going to keep working, I have four TV stars coming in for consultations after our honeymoon and Blaine has an interview at Santana's label to maybe do some producing. We have each other and the cats, Santana's already on at me to help her house hunt in the New Year. I can't believe we're not going to live together anymore, you know? It's like we've grown up in the blink of an eye.”

“I know Landin's about to turn ten, can you believe that? I still feel like he should be in a crib but then I wouldn't have my little Beau either. The years go too fast.” He pulls his head back to look at me and then nods behind me. “I think your husband wants you.” And there he is, my beautiful best friend, my husband, my future and I take off towards him. I may not know what he has planned but I know I would follow him anywhere, blindly.

***********************************

“Blaine? You've been sat staring at me for ten minutes. If I'm not getting my surprise, we could at least be getting lucky!” I giggle out at him, sitting cross legged on the bed with a crisp brown envelope in front of him.

“Okay, I'm just going to give you this. If you don't want it we can forget about it okay? I just wanted you to have this on the most important day of our lives so far. So here.” He hands the envelope over with shaking hands, making me feel even more nervous than I had. I carefully rip the seam open, pulling an A4 sheet of paper out and glitter falls everywhere. “This is just a copy for you to keep, I have the original safe if you want to use it.” My curiosity peaked, I flip it over to see Landin's hand writing, filling the page. Taking a deep breath I start to read it aloud, even though Blaine already knows what it says.

“Dear Man and Lady, I would like to tell you ten things about why my Uncle Kurt is great. Blaine, what?” but he just smiles, encouraging me to continue. “Number one, he makes us all one of a kind clothes. Number two, he always has time to bake my favourite cookies. Number three, he has two kittens that he was given as a surprise and talks to them like they are his babies. Number four, when my baby sister came he taught me how important I was going to be to her, even though I was scared everyone would forget get me. Number five, when he thinks nobody is watching he looks at my Uncle Blaine with big heart eyes, that's what my dad calls it, but there isn't hearts, I checked. Number six, when I was scared that I didn't know who I liked, he told me to always be myself and our family would always love me. Number seven, he gives the best hugs. Well except grandpa Burt but he learnt from him so that means he will get as good as him when he's old. Number eight, he would do anything for anybody. Even the homeless guy at the subway, he gives him warm clothes all the time. Number nine, he doesn't just want a baby! He told me once that there is a boy or girl out there that will need him and Uncle Blaine and he would take care of them always and love them to the moon and back (that's a thing he tells me and Lydia all the time!) and that's a long way to love someone! Number ten, I think that he and Uncle Blaine are the best uncles which means that they would be the best dads ever! Uncle Blaine said that they need to be picked for them to get a child and I just thought these ten reasons would help you pick them! I know that it would make them super happy and they would make my future cousin super happy too. I hope you like my letter and them, because I love them to the moon and back too. I look forward to hearing from you, Landin Alexander Porter, aged nine and three quarters.” My voice is a whisper, I know there are tears pooling in my eyes but I can't speak. I'm frozen watching Blaine's heart swelling smile.

“I know I told you at Christmas that I didn't think I wanted kids because of my past, but I remembered something when Landin and I talked one day. A big part of my past is you, and I think we both know that you're the best part of me. You always have been and always will be. So no matter how scared I am about this, I know. Deep down in my soul that all I want is to raise a child with you. So I phoned a couple of agencies. They want us to set up an interview when we decide what we want to do and that we need letters of recommendations. Who better than Landin right?” I'm full on bawling now, I can feel snot running down my face and everything, but Blaine just holds my hand tightly in his.

“You know you can't take this back now, right? I mean, you're giving me a baby or a child. That means we're together for keeps okay?” Blaine pulls me on to his knee and holds me as close as he can. “We're going to be a family? A real one!”

“Only if I get to tell your dad!” we both laugh-cry, that ugly faced kind but I couldn't care.

“You do realise I will never be able to top this gift ever right? You have ruined all future occasions for yourself.”

“As long as I get to call you the father of my child that's all I care about.” And that does it, I'm attacking his lips and clothes as fast as I can.

So our lives might not be perfect, we might not have it all planned out, but right now. In this moment, with my new husband and a potential child to be on the way. I couldn't be happier.
