I hope you guys liked it! R&Rs are much appreciated :))

Kurt felt like the side of his head was being knocked on. He had so much to do, so little time, it all felt a little cliche, but everything was happening all at once. There really was no time for that ‘so-called' break that he had been ‘recommended' to take. No way was he going to risk losing more time than he had already lost. Two and a half more minutes and he would have punched someone.

Maybe not.

Being in the grad program at NYU was really nothing like what he had expected. He had expected more hands-on classes, not more sitting in a lecture hall, learning about the origin of silk. He had already learned that in his internship at Vogue. Taking a costume class as a theater major was sadly, a requirement, as was attendance, or Kurt would have skipped the class altogether.

He couldn't wait to get back to his apartment, dare he say it... clean... and move on with his life.

Now that was easier said than done, and in Kurt's case, he was far from even saying it.

Maybe he just had to focus on getting through the day as a whole. Yeah, that seemed like a much better use of his time, rather that complaining about how monotonous Professor Antrio's engaging lecture about silk. So much for having a “great learning experience”.

Once the clock hit 4:00 pm, Kurt made sure he was one of the first ones out of the lecture hall. First thing? Coffee.

Kurt headed towards the student coffee bar. It wasn't anything fancy. Just a small cafe run by students that served coffee under $4. Good enough.

“Hi, Kurt!” That sweet, bubbly, almost disgustingly cheerful voice that he had grown to know (and love) had just turned to face him. Almost disgustingly, but still nothing close to being something he hated.

“Hello, Blaine,” he turned around with a smile at his peer advisor.

Blaine was the person who he went to for class advice. He had his teaching advisor, but his peer advisor was there for closer question-answer-based one-on-one type of advising. The real awful part was that Blaine was awfully charming.

“How's your day been?”

“Boring, pretty boring,” he wrinkled his nose, and Blaine's eyes lit up--not quite the reaction he would expect, but he'd take it.

“Professor Ant's?”

“Yup.”

“Next?” The barista called, and Blaine moved forward.

“Medium drip,” Blaine said, pursing his lips together as he searched through his wallet in his messenger bag.

Kurt stepped forward within a few seconds and handed over his credit card. Blaine raised an eyebrow at him. “Don't worry about it, really,” the younger student just smiled.

Blaine licked over his lips. “Thanks for that. I forgot my wallet in my room,” he said quietly.

Kurt nodded and then gave his own order. Now, he was getting a little jumpy, even without the caffeine in his system, which meant that their conversation had to be cut short.

When his order was called out, Kurt hopped right over to the counter, then turned and Blaine gave him a grateful smile. “Thank you for the for the coffee,” Blaine said. “I definitely owe you big time,”

A smile was shared and words along the lines are ‘I'll hold you to that,' were exchanged.

And with that, Kurt was off to his place.
