Hello guys! I would love love love to hear what you all think so far! I have decided to make my regular posting time on saturdays! If I can get it earlier I will but for now I am going with that. I don't want to fall back into not writing for over a month! Thanks for keeping up with the story! Love and hugs to you all!

Tonight is going to be interesting…Very interesting. Everything needs to go according to plan. This is going to be a tricky operation to get everyone out of the house so that Kurt doesn’t have to explain this somewhat odd situation he has going on. Burt and Carole will be a piece of cake. Finn? Not so much. He is already suspicious of this whole “new friend”.

It’s pretty annoying actually. Finn is so overprotective now that this confrontation with Karofsky has gotten a little worse. That’s a story for another time though. There is no need to think about him tonight.

It’s been more than a week and Finn will not stop with his interrogations. Question after question, and now he has Rachel in on it too. It makes no sense. It’s as if he thinks that Blaine is some sort of awful person who is trying to hurt Kurt or ruin his life somehow. Well not that he knows its Blaine.

Although it is Finn we are talking about. The same boy who thought he got his ex girlfriend pregnant from a hot tub. Nothing is surprising at this point.

Kurt pulls into the driveway after getting home from school. As he gathers his bag and books around from the back seat, he looks up and notices how dark the clouds are getting.

“Well, that’s not going to be good” He mumbles to himself as he shuts the car door and ventures to the house. As he walks in he notices that the house is unusually quiet. Carole and Burt are usually home around this time. When he walks into the kitchen, he notices a note on the table.

“Hey Kiddo,
Carole and I got invited to a dinner with some of the other congressman tonight. It’s out of town and it’s going to run late so we will be staying in a hotel instead of driving home. Carole made some alfredo for you to heat up for dinner. I think Finn is staying over at Pucks tonight so he won’t be around to bug you. Have a good night and stay out of trouble.
Love Dad”

Kurt lets out a small chuckle and puts the letter back down on the table. Could things be any more perfect? Kurt jumps slightly when the door opens and slams shut and Finn’s voice is calling out for him. Knew it was too good to be true.

“Kurt? You home?” Finn yells from the living room. Kurt lets out an exasperated sigh before walking to the living room. “Finn! What are you doing home?!” He says while putting his hands on his hips.

“Uhh… Getting my clothes and stuff for tomorrow?” He says while eyeing Kurt. He moves past him and goes to grab food from the refrigerator. As he shuts the door, Kurt is standing right there giving him a death glare.

“God, dude!” Finn says as he jumps and puts a hand to his chest.

“You’re supposed to be getting things all packed to go to Pucks! Go!” Kurt responds while pointing to the stairs.

“Dude! Chill out! Let me eat something first!” Finn responds while starting to eat his left over sandwich he found while digging in the fridge. Kurt lets out a disapproving sound and goes to his room to put his bag away.

When Kurt walks into his room he sets his bag down on his bed and immediately goes to his closest to pick out the perfect outfit to wear tonight. He knows that it really doesn’t matter because Blaine won’t be able to see it, but it’s the thought that counts.

After about 40 minutes of tossing clothes from the closet, he has finally decided on an outfit and models it in the floor length mirror. It’s perfect, a casual outfit with just a splash of sassy.

He has on a white long sleeve shirt with a black vest on over top and a unique scissor pin with a chain that he found at a thrift store coming from the vest pocket and skinny jeans that fit in all the right places and are rolled into cuffs at the bottom.

Kurt twirls himself around in the mirror when the door is suddenly pushed open. Kurt jumps back and looks at Finn with his overnight bag in his hand.

“Finn! Ever heard of knocking?” He says as he tries to get his breathing down to normal again. Finn sets his bag down before responding.

“Sorry bro. I didn’t mean to scare you. Uhmm, what’s the occasion?”

“I’m picking out my outfit for school tomorrow.” He says breezily. That makes sense. Nice job Kurt, he thinks to himself.

“So… You needed to put it on?” Finn asks.

“Yes Finn, I like to see how I look in outfits before I wear them, and then I don’t need to run around like a maniac in the morning.”

“Ok, ok. Whatever…. Well I am heading out. I had the TV on and there is an insane storm coming so don’t go outside until it passes.” Finn says while picking up his bag from the floor.

“Thanks Dad, because I was planning on dressing in some metal and then going for a run up and down the street” Kurt says in a mocking tone.

Finn lets out a humorless chuckle and heads down the stairs and out the door.

Kurt falls down on his bed and puts his arms behind his head and lets out a victorious sigh. Just then an extremely loud crack of thunder made its appearance and shook the whole house. This night was going to be very interesting indeed.

Kurt pushes back the curtains of the down stairs window and watches outside to see when Blaine will pull up. He notices the clouds as he does so. They have gotten even darker as the day has gone on.

They look extremely ominous now. This is not good. Luckily the rain hasn’t started yet.

Kurt goes to the living room to turn on the TV; the weather channel is already on from when Finn was watching it. He watches intently as the man on the TV tells about the storm. It’s huge.

“This is just perfect” Kurt says dryly to the screen.
Just then he hears a car door slam. He runs to the window and sees a car out in front of the house. He grabs his coat and heads outside. Emma is already out of the car and Blaine is grabbing at her harness and talking with his mom.

“Hello, Kurt!” Mrs. Anderson yells from the driver seat with a large smile on her face. Emma looks over and notices Kurt coming and starts to wag her tail intensely.

“Hello Mrs. Anderson! Crazy clouds this evening” he says while walking over to the car. She looks out the front window and nods her head.

“They sure are. Don’t worry about those dear, I will have Mr. Anderson drive back here later to pick Blaine up if the weather is too terrible. He is a wonderful driver.”

That makes Kurt feel a bit better. The storm is going to be a big one but it should be over around 10.

“That’s perfect, thanks mom” Blaine says as he shuts his door. She leans out the window to give him a kiss on the cheek and whispers in his ear, “He dressed up tonight, he looks so handsome”.

Blaine blushes and sighs before giving his mom an embarrassed look. He wishes more than anything he could see what Kurt looks like. He knows that he must be absolutely beautiful looking if his personality is anything to match.

This is all new to him. He never has really had a boyfriend before. Not saying that Kurt is his boyfriend. Maybe one day in the future. Blaine likes Kurt, that’s obvious. It’s just that he has no idea what the heck he is doing. And why would he know? As if anyone would be interested. As if Kurt would be interested. He can’t see him. Can’t see what he looks like. Why would he want someone who was damaged and can barely do anything without needing assistance? He deserves so much better. So much better than himself.

Blaine pushes all the thoughts aside and says goodbye to his mom before she drives away from the house with a beep from her horn.

“What was that all about?” Kurt says with a smile on his face. Blaine can feel the blush creep up his neck, “Oh, it was nothing.”

Kurt smiles warmly at him and leans down to pet a very excited Emma.

“Hello sweet girl, how have you been?” He says to her. Blaine chuckles at the boy for talking to his dog like that. Although he talks to her like that too.

“Uh oh, we better get inside.” Kurt says as he looks towards the sky. Blaine is confused by the comment until he feels the rain drops across his face.

“I am going to take your hand, ok?” Kurt asks just to make sure it’s ok. Blaine nods his head; he can’t really talk when he starts to think about Kurt’s hand in his.
When they get inside and close the door, Emma shakes all the rain off her fur and all over the two boys. They both giggle.

“Thank you so much, Em. I needed another shower” Blaine says with a smile on his face. They both have their hands in each other’s still and both don’t really want to let go.

Blaine can feel his heart beating faster. Just go with it, he thinks to himself. He gathers up his courage and starts to trace patterns on Kurt’s palm with his thumb. Kurt’s hand starts to tingle and he takes a sharp intake of breath. He is about to say something when a huge crack of thunder makes itself known and causes both boys to jump back and release their hands.

They both let out a nervous chuckle. You could cut the tension in the air with a knife.

“Shall we venture into the living room?” Kurt asks. Blaine feels Emma shift her position a few times and bends down to pet her.

“Oh, you can let her off her leash. She knows her way around the house, she will be fine. Unless you feel more comfortable with her?” Kurt asks.

Blaine smiles and lets her off the leash. “I don’t mind at all. I might need a hand a few times though, or an arm” He says with a smile.

“I don’t think that will be a problem” Kurt says with a blush. Blaine extends his hand in invitation for Kurt to lead him to the living room.

Once there, Kurt leads him to the couch. They both sit down and get their books out of their bags. They shuffle around with their things bumping into each other sometimes and mumble the occasional apologies with soft smiles.

“Do you like alfredo?” Kurt asks. It’s past dinner time and he can feel his stomach grumble.

“Love it” Blaine answers back.

“Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m starving. Would you like some?” Kurt asks with a smile on his face.

“Yes, please!”

They make their way to the kitchen table, Kurt grabs the plate of alfredo and pops it into two small bowls and puts them into the microwave. They begin to eat and have casual conversation when an extremely loud crack of thunder sounds with a sliver of lightning right behind it. Then that’s when it goes to black.

“Oh my god” Kurt says as he stands up from his chair. He can’t see anything. It’s completely black. He tries to go to the counter when he hits his foot on the chair and curses under his breath.

“Kurt? What’s going on?” Blaine asks with concern. He can’t notice the change in light.

“We have a slight damper in the plans, the power is out.” He says with a sigh as he rubs his foot. Blaine lets out a rumble of laughter.

“Blaine! It’s not funny! I can’t see a damn thing!” He says in response to the laughter.

“Welcome to my world, Kurt” Blaine says while still laughing. Kurt remains completely silent. He feels absolutely horrible. I can’t believe I just said that, he thinks to himself. He tries to say something, anything, but he is too wrapped up in thoughts.

Blaine notices the silence and stops laughing. “Kurt? Kurt, are you there?” He asks.

“I don’t know what to say” Kurt responds, the guilt showing through in his tone. Blaine’s smile disappears as he realizes that the joke was taken wrong.

“Oh, Kurt. I was only kidding. Please, don’t feel bad about this. I think it’s actually pretty funny” He says with a warm smile on his face. Kurt nods even though it can’t be seen.

“I’m going to try and find some candles so it will be easier for me to see. I’m not an expert like you” He says with a smile. Blaine blushes at the somewhat compliment.
Kurt makes his way to the living room, running his hand along the wall to get his placement.

He makes it to the living room and goes for the tall cabinet where the candles are placed. He can almost claim victory until he slams his body into the piano causing a string of notes to fill the air.

“Shit!” he curses loudly and rubs his hip where it hit the piano.

“Are you ok in there?” Blaine asks while trying to control his laughter.

“Oh yea! Never been better!” He says in response through gritted teeth. How embarrassing. He finally reaches the cabinet and finds the candles and matches, he lights one and makes his way back to Blaine in the kitchen.

“Did you find them?” Blaine asks from the table.

“I did, and I only ran into something once!” Kurt says triumphantly. Blaine lets out a long chuckle.

“I heard. Was that a piano?” He asks inquisitively.

“Why yes it was, do you play?” Kurt responds.

Blaine takes off his glasses and puts them on the table. He hates having them on. This is the first time Kurt has seen Blaine without them and he thinks Blaine is even more stunning then before.

“Indeed I do” He says with a smile on his face.

“Will you play for me? Please?” Kurt asks in an upbeat tone. How can Blaine resist that?

“I would be honored to, but I must admit I’m a little rusty”

Kurt leads Blaine to the piano and he sits down on the bench, Emma at his feet.

“I will be right back. I’m going to go around and light some more candles around down here” He tells Blaine. Blaine nods in response and pets Emma at his feet. She is comforting for him.

Kurt is in the kitchen when the melody fills the house on the piano keys. That song still brings tears to his eyes and Blaine plays it so beautifully that Kurt’s heart melts even more than it already has. He walks back to Blaine and sits down next to him on the piano bench.

Kurt places his hands over Blaine’s on the keys and Blaine gasps quietly.

“Can you start over, please?” Kurt’s voice is soothing, like velvet when he asks. Blaine nods his head and starts to put himself into the music again. His motions even more captivating in the candlelight.

“Oh yeah, I’ll tell you something. I think you’ll understand, when I say that something, I want to hold your hand. I want to hold your hand; I want to hold your hand.

Oh please, say to me, you’ll let me be your man. And please, say to me, you’ll let me hold your hand.
I want to hold your hand; I want to hold your hand.

And when I touch you I feel happy, inside. It’s such a feeling that my love, I can’t hide, I can’t hide, and I can’t hide!

Yeah, you got that something, I think you’ll understand. When I feel that something I want to hold your hand.
I want to hold your hand; I want to hold your hand. I want to hold, your hand”

Kurt stops singing and has a few unshed tears in his eyes. “Kurt…”

“I know, I know, that was terrible” he says with a small laugh. Blaine searches for his hands and holds them tightly in his.

“Kurt that was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. Your voice is truly stunning. It was a privilege that I got to hear that… Why didn’t you tell me you could sing?”

“I don’t know, I guess it never came up” he responds shyly. He looks at Blaine and waits for him to say something.

“Kurt…. This is going to sound completely strange and you can say no but… C-can I… Uhmm.. S-see you?” he asks with trembling hands.

“See me? But Blaine..” He responds before Blaine cuts him off to explain.

“I use my hands, Kurt. I f-feel to see. It helps me create a picture in my mind. You can say no...” He says with a sad smile.

“N-no, of course you can” He says and Blaine instantly beams. Both boys turn to face each other on the bench, knees touching in the small space.

Blaine raises his hands to start at Kurt’s shoulders but they kind of hover in the air shaking. To say Blaine was nervous was an understatement.

Kurt lets out a small laugh and grabs his hands and places them on his neck. Blaine takes a sharp intake of breath, his fingers tingling with the sensation of Kurt’s skin. He takes a deep breath and begins to move his hands up the young boy’s neck.

It’s long and slim and covered with velvety soft skin. He moves up until his hands come to a soft yet defined jaw, he sets his finger tips at the chin and glides them to the tips of Kurt’s ears.

Kurt laughs at the tickling sensation and that makes Blaine smile and laugh with him. He comes back to the jaw line and moves up to cup Kurt’s cheeks; he rubs his thumb softy over them and Kurt smiles underneath him. He moves up the face and runs his fingers over his forehead and lower down across his eyebrows.

When he reaches his nose he slides a finger down each side until he comes to Kurt’s lips. Blaine’s thumb barely ghosts over his top lip when Kurt gasps softly beneath him which then makes Blaine gasp with him. Kurt parts his lips a little and then Blaine slides his thumb down and across Kurt’s bottom lip.

Blaine licks his lips unconsciously and swallows making his adams apple bob in the process. He moves his hands to the tips of Kurt’s ears which have a slight point to them and then to his hair. It’s soft and Blaine never wants to stop running his hands through it.

Both boys have gotten closer to each other and are breathing heavily. The picture Blaine has created in his mind is a gorgeous boy with unique features and stunning looks.

“Beautiful…” Blaine says in barely a whisper. He is inches away from Kurt’s face when Kurt leans ever so slightly closer and suddenly thunder cracks again and the lights flicker back on and both boys pull away and laugh nervously with scarlet red blushes on their faces.

A very interesting night indeed

This story is definitely one of my favorites. I love that we get to see Blaine's parents in the story and that they are supportive and accepting of him.
