‘It’s okay, I’ve got you.’
Any other time, Blaine would have basked in the comfort Kurt was offering him; but today was obviously going to be an exception. He lay there, frozen with anxiety as his mind raced through various ways he could deal with the situation at hand after Kurt woke up…
How do you know? How do you know it’ll be okay? How do you know one day I’ll be pushed into a locker one too many times and just…snap? That I won’t take that blade and push it so deep into my skin that I can’t even think straight anymore? I wish I could believe you when you say I’ll be fine, or that we’ll be fine. I really do, Kurt. I…it’s just…hard to believe sometimes.
Everything just feels like it’s building up. It feels like every little thing that comes towards me weighs about a tonne, and I’m just somehow expected to carry it all. Nobody cares if I’m struggling; nobody cares if I fall. Nobody cares, Kurt, because they’re all fine. They’re balanced. How is it that they can all manage so well without even breaking a sweat when I’m here literally killing myself merely with anticipation?
How can you possibly assure me that it’s okay - that we’re okay when every day I’m dying inside?
I doubt that there is any way you could be able to do that, Kurt. But that’s fine, cause you’re too good for me anyways. You deserve a guy that can handle everything; a gentleman. Someone who you can trust to be there for you, instead of having to race over to their house in the middle of the night because they’re scared.
His mind went silent for a moment…
…I doubt you’d even care if I just disappeared.
You’d get over me. Everyone would. You’d just all go on into your happy little words like nothing ever happened. But I guess that’s okay; I wouldn’t really miss me either.
“Blaine, I love you.” a soft whisper pulled Blaine from his mind back to reality. His eyes jumped around the room, settling on a still sleeping Kurt. The murmur was barely audible, but not too much so that Blaine couldn’t make out those three words that drifted along with Kurt’s beautiful voice.
And with that, tears started making their way down Blaine’s face again. They could’ve been happy-tears, they could’ve been sad-tears…he wasn’t sure. All he knew was that in that moment, in the warmth of Kurt’s embrace, he had never felt more loved.
Of course, he didn’t believe he deserved it…but believing didn’t seem necessary. Because right then and there, as Kurt slowly opened his sleepy eyes, Blaine knew he was going to be okay.
Before Kurt had a chance to oppose, Blaine pulled Kurt’s body so close to his own they could feel each other’s hearts beating; in rhythm with each other. Their lips finally found each other, like magnets, as both boys embraced each other into a deep, passionate kiss.
He’ll help me. I’ll tell him.
…just not right now. I’ll tell him at school tomorrow. I don’t want to ruin the moment.

B: Hey, beautiful. I’ll meet you at the cafeteria at lunch?
Kurt smiled at his phone. He’s been really worried about Blaine since the other night. Blaine told him that he didn’t need to worry. He was just having a stressful day. But judging by the way Blaine had acted that night, or for the past few days after it, Kurt could see there was something Blaine wasn’t telling him.
K: Hello, my equally handsome companion. I would love to meet you for lunch. Would you mind finding me in the auditorium? I have something for you. x

The rest of Blaine’s day had passed very slowly. He was failing two classes and had been scalded twice by his chemistry teacher for not paying attention. When lunch period came, he gathered up his things and mindlessly made his way to the auditorium, hoping Kurt’s good mood would balance out his current state of deathly fatigue.
Blaine immediately spotted Kurt sitting on the stage as he walked through the auditorium’s doors. His face suddenly lit up.
“I need to talk to you. Come sit down.” He wasn’t sure why, but Kurt’s tone of voice made him uneasy.
“Uh, sure. What’s up?”
“I know you said you were just tired the other night, Blaine. But I don’t think that you’re telling me the truth, and that’s fine. If you’re not ready to talk to someone about how you feel, then I’m willing to wait. I just want you to know that I’m here, Blaine, I care about you and I will always be more than prepared to listen to what you have to say. I know you’ve been treated terribly in the past and that you don’t find talking about your feelings very easy…but I want you to know you don’t have to feel that way about me. I won’t hurt you like they did. I see how sad you are, Blaine; I see it in your eyes - you’re hurting. And it kills me to see you like that, I want nothing but the best for you.” he looked at Blaine; his eyes were fixed on the ground, hands fidgeting. “Please look at me?”
Blaine’s eyes were dark and misty, a story resting behind them as they made their way to Kurt’s.
Blaine, listen to him. He loves you. He won’t hurt you. TELL HIM! This might be the only chance you’ll ever get, don’t waste it .
“I’m fine, Kurt. Really, you have nothing to worry about.”
Dammit, Blaine. You’re so pathetic. You can’t even look him in the eye and tell him he’s right – that you are hurting, that you want him – need him – to fix you. Why can’t you just do that one simple thing?
“Well, I have a song for you. Because I kind of expected you not to say anything…I just want you to know I’m here for you. I love you, Blaine.”
Patience
Took you for everything
Looked like a diamond ring
You are so much longer
That made sense
Apathy in disguise
Crept on you like a spy
Hurt you in ways
You can't describe
Blaine’s head bowed down as the lyrics hit him. It was too late for him to confess to Kurt. All those feelings he had kept bottled up inside. He held them in, so close to his heart, hidden, so nobody would see.
Back to the start now
I wont let you go this way now
Honesty
Is what you need
It sets you free
Like someone to save you
Let it go
But hurry now
There’s undertow
And I don't want to lose you now
But what Blaine didn’t realise was that as soon as he let Kurt in his heart, he was able to see everything; his suffering, his pain, his hurt. Kurt knew him like nobody else ever could. He knew Blaine’s feelings were not to be taken lightly.
All right,
Sit down and spill your heart
Lets start from the very start
Cause I can see by your eyes
You're wasted
Your energy comes and goes
You taking your time, you know
Nothing can change what happened, you know
Oh my
Look at your bright stars fade so
How much can you take?
Here I am,
Someone to save you
“I can save you, Blaine.”
Hope you enjoyed it.

what song is that?
It's called 'Someone to Save You' by OneRepublic. I thought it was somewhat fitting.
