Makyla and Mae are mine fictional characters.
In two hours Kurt was standing in front of the blue painted apartment building. When Kurt discovered Blaine's name among the many others between electric bells he was relieved he found it right. Blaine answered him in a few seconds and let him in. Kurt was really excited and maybe slightly nervous as he was climbing the stairs. As he reached the right floor, he found Blaine waiting for him in the hall.
"Hey! Long time no see!“ Blaine greeted him.
"Yeah, hi,“ Kurt grinned.
"Is the elevator broken?“ Blane asked with obvious confusion in his voice.
"No, I'm claustrophobic,“ Kurt explained. Just another thing he could thank his bullies for from middle school.
"Oh, that sucks,“ Blaine winced.
"Shit happens,“ Kurt shrugged nonchalantly and hoped Blaine wouldn't ask more about it.
"C'mon, I'll show you my cave,“ Blaine winked and put a hand on his shoulder. The touch sent a shiver down Kurt's spine. Then he entered Blaine's apartment and took off his shoes.
"I cleaned the floor, so don't worry,“ Blaine informed.
"I brought something. I would have brought some alcohol, but since I'm a minor...“
"That's cool. You didn't have to bring anything at all,“ Blaine assured him but took the bag full of snacks. "Ok, let's have a tour!“ He placed his arm around Kurt's shoulder nonchalantly and guided him first to a small kitchen where he dropped the bag. Then there was the living room which was the biggest room in the apartment. It had a narrow dark leather couch and armchair with a coffee table, fluffy rug (probably white in its better days), a TV set and a large library. Blaine quickly showed Kurt the bathroom and the bedroom (which had even less furniture than the living room) where he left his bag with toothbrush and clothes. In the end, they settled in the living room, Kurt making himself comfortable in the armchair. Blaine poured them a glass of red wine saying others would bring more alcohol and there was no reason to wait for them sober.
"Won't you have problems at home? I mean, you were in Westerville yesterday and you're here overnight today…“ Blaine started the conversaton with a concerned look.
"Normally yes, but my dad is off on a business trip this week and he trusts me enough to leave me alone,“ Kurt explained.
"So, you and your dad are on good terms?“ Blaine asked curiously.
"Most of the time,“ Kurt agreed. "Though I don't talk much about my issues with him which puts a distance between us… But he's a good guy.“
"Will you tell him someday?“ Blaine was playing with his glass swirling the wine in it so carelessly it was a miracle he didn't spill it yet.
"Yeah, I'll have to. But until it's necessary I don't really want to.“
"What do you mean?“ Blaine smiled a little. Kurt blushed.
"Well, I thought I'd tell him when I find a boyfriend. Or when I go to college. Which I think might happen at the same time.“
"Why?“
"Because I'm in the closet now,“ Kurt answered and didn't sound happy. "I don't want to hide my potentional boyfriend. It wouldn't be fair to him.“
"So you don't want to come out until college?“ Blaine's voice sounded something between unbelievable and sad.
"I'm just scared,“ Kurt admitted and drank deeply from his glass.
"Sorry, I'm probably asking too much,“ Blaine apologized and refilled Kurt´s glass. "Let's talk about something else. Do you like music?“
"Yeah, I love it. I'm in the glee club at my school.“
"Really?“ Blaine beamed. Music major, Kurt reminded himself.
"Uh-huh. It's not really popular but since I'm head cheerleader I can get by without any bullying,“ Kurt explained, because everything in his life had purpose and he kind of hated it.
"You're a cheerleader? Wow,“ Blaine's eyes widened and his jaw hanging open for few seconds. Kurt was flattered by the reaction.
"I can kick my feet over my head like it's nothing,“ Kurt grinned.
"I'm like imagining it now,“ Blaine confessed and gave out a small chuckle. Kurt decided offering to show him wouldn't be wise. The wine seemed to be affecting him more than he realized. Then there was a ringing which startled both of them, but Kurt was glad for it. It sobered him quite a lot. Blaine jumped to his feet to go open the door. Seconds afterward the apartment was filled with voices, yelling and greetings.
"You're early!“ Blaine shouted at them though there was no trace of anger in his voice.
"Are we first here? We have to hide the booze before Makyla shows up 'cause the girl is like cellophane,“ some boyish voice was heard. Kurt decided to stand and put his glass down to meet Blaine's friends. He felt nervous. He was the youngest one here.
"Yeah, Sunshine, go put these in the fridge…“
"As always it's me…“
"Oh, don¨'t start it over again, 'm gonna have a headache…“
"I need to introduce you to someone,“ Blaine was shouting jovially as he returned to the living room giving Kurt a big grin. Two boys – young men – were following him. One was black and the second seemed to be of Asian descent.
"Hey! I didn't know you had someone here! We wouldn't have come this early. Or at all,“ the black man commented smirking widely.
"Jesus, not every guy in my apartment must be my boyfriend,“ Blaine rolled his eyes. "This is Kurt. He's my newest friend, I met him recently.“
"Hey, I'm David,“ the black guy offered his hand and shook Kurt's enthusiastically.
"Nice to meet you,“ Kurt smiled politely when his hand was grabbed by another boy.
"Pleasure! I'm Wes.“
"Heey, you're leaving me out!“ girl's voice made herself heard. Then the really small girl – Kurt probably had never seen someone this small except some Lilliputians on TV or Rachel Berry – shoved the boys aside and went to greet Kurt.
"Wow! You're really pretty. Sorry, I'm Sunshine,“ she blurted out not looking sorry at all. She turned to Blaine saying: "You're into young ones now, huh?“ Blaine smacked his forehead with his palm.
"Just friends,“ Kurt said instead of him. "It's Kurt.“
"You seem really young…“ Sunshine kept giving him suspicious looks.
"Well, I'm seventeen,“ Kurt admitted and had to blush.
"Ah! Well, at least you can have sex,“ Sunshine beamed making Kurt gape in awe.
"You'll get used to them,“ Blaine assured him and patted his back. "Who wants red wine?“
The moment Blaine took the bottle in his hand the doorbell rang again.
"I'll go there,“ David offered and disappeared. Another mess of voices and babbling, another yelling and arguing.
"I don't really know why I'm still talking to you, you're such shithead it's not even possible…“
"My charm, dear cow.“
"Fuck off, faggot.“
"How hypocritical of you.“
"Hey, it's nice to see you again!“ Blaine shouted louder than they talked when a new quartet of people entered the living room. There were two boys and two girls. Everybody greeted everyone until the new arrivals noticed Kurt.
"Oh, hello,“ the taller boy – the one called shithead and faggot – approached Kurt sporting a seducing smile on his lips and offering his hand. He was really attractive, nonchalant brown curls falling to his forehead. "Nice to meet you, pretty. I'm Jesse.“
"Hi. Kurt,“ Kurt was only able to breathe out because his breath caught in his throat.
"Please, stop seducing everyone who's alive and has a penis,“ the girl who was arguing with Jesse shoved him aside.
"Hello. My name's Makyla, not cow as you've heard. I'm a lesbian so don't try anything funny on me,“ she made her point making Blaine burst out in a laugh. She was small but well built – she kind of reminded him of Mercedes though she was white – having a short haircut reaching her chin and wearing a t-shirt saying "Some people are gay – get over it!“. Hearing Blaine's laughter she turned to him and then back. "Oh, you're gay! Sorry. It's automatic.“
Kurt didn't know what to say. He was embarrassed.
"Makyla, slow down,“ Blaine stepped in. Makyla gasped once again.
"Oh, sorry! You're not out?“
"How…?“ Kurt just gaped at her.
"I'm the chairperson of LGBT Club at OSU,“ she explained waving her hand, "I'm spending most of my time with gays, I'm an expert at this. Shut up, Jesse.“
"I didn't say anything.“
"But you wanted to.“
"Let's let these children have their playground for themselves,“ another girl said and turned to Kurt with a smile and outstretched hand. "I'm Mae. I'm Makyla's girlfriend.“
"Oh, hi, it's a pleasure to meet you all,“ Kurt replied and he was stunned. Because he had never met a lesbian couple before (Santana and Brittany weren't a couple as far as he knew). Hell, he had never met any homosexual couples at all.
"I'm Jeff,“ the last arrival introduced himself simply and held Kurt's hand for a brief moment. He was a good-looking guy and his haircut screamed 'I'm gay'. Kurt felt still nervous but incredibly welcomed and that was amazing. For the first time in his life he wasn't alone, he wasn't different.
"Ok, time to drink!“ Jesse announced loudly and started to take out various bottles from his satchel. Others were putting more snacks and alcohol on the coffee table which was already crowded.
"And we brought pizza!“ Makyla remembered hurrying into the hall.
"Aren't you freaking yet?“ A familiar voice whispered next to Kurt's ear making him jump a little. It made Kurt chuckle and he turned his head to Blaine.
"No, not at all,“ Kurt shook his head lightly. "They all seem nice.“
"I think you need to spend an evening with people like them,“ Blaine informed him, squeezing Kurt´s shoulder. "It might help you feel better.“
"Yeah,“ Kurt just nodded.
"Hey, Blaine where did you put the corkscrew? I can't find it in the drawer,“ Sunshine called out to him.
"They're already like at home here,“ Blaine rolled his eyes though he chuckled. "Excuse me.“
But Kurt didn't stay alone for long. As he found his glass of wine, Makyla approached him with a piece of pizza on a paper plate.
"Do you eat meat, Kurt? I can bring you something with vegetarian…“
"No, it's ok, thank you,“ Kurt waved his hands immediately and took the plate.
"So, Kurt,“ Makyla started and Kurt noticed Jesse and Jeff were standing behind her listening curiously. Jesse was checking Kurt out so obviously it made him flush. "How did you and Blaine meet? He never spoke about you before so I presume it wasn't a long time ago.“
"No, not really,“ Kurt snorted a little because of all that irony. "We became friends just yesterday.“
"What?“ Makyla seemed really surprised.
"Well, we met a few weeks ago and he gave me his number. And I needed him to help me with something and he was really kind to me. And he invited me here today so…“
"Uh-huh, I see. You're still in high school, right?“ Makyla was asking. It seemed she was heading somewhere but she was talking sweet and nice, with a geniune smile on her face. She seemed like someone who was good at human psychology.
"Yeah.“
"How is it? I mean, for most of us high school was just hell,“ Makyla rolled her eyes. „I was so glad to leave it. Actually I spit on our high school entrance when my last day there ended.“
Kurt had to laugh. It wasn´t hard to imagine. "I'm getting by. I'm actually quite popular at my school but not for being myself. I'm not really. There, I mean.“
Makyla nodded in a more serious way now. "Is there anyone out at your school?“
"No,“ Kurt snorted. "I doubt there's any other gays. If I don't count my horny bi-curious so-called friends from cheerleading squad.“
"You're a cheerleader?“ Jesse interrupted with an interested look on his face. Makyla ignored him completely asking instead:
"You're not out because your school isn't tolerant?“
"Makyla, please, leave him alone. I'm sure he doesn't want to talk about it,“ Jeff was one to step in the conversation.
"I don't want to intimidate him,“ Makyla shook her head violently. "My point is, Kurt,“ she looked straight in his eyes, "if you ever would like help with something or have problems with homophobia or anything, you can turn to our LGBT Club. We're always happy to help someone. Even if you just wanted to talk.“
"You have to bring that up everywhere,“ Jesse snorted and crossed his arms.
"That's not true! I have things in my life other than the Club!“
"Yeah, you study Sexuality Studies and Sociology and date one of your Club magazine's editors,“ Jesse pointed out and laughed.
"That's really nice of you,“ Kurt answered Makyla's proposition before she could snap back at Jesse. "I appreciate it.“
"Give me your number,“ Makyla suggested without hesitation and fished her own cellphone from her pocket. "If anything happens, call me or text me and I'll answer you right away.“
"Um, okay…“ Kurt ended up giving his number to Jesse and Jeff as well. Though he wasn't sure if he really did a good thing there. But both of them were too cute to refuse them.
"So, you're Blaine's classmates?“ Kurt asked to change the topic. Makyla's concern was sweet but not something he wanted to talk about tonight. He was here to have fun after all. Although this was probably one of the reasons why Blaine invited him. He couldn´t really know.
"I'm not. As Cocksucker mentioned I study Sexuality Studies and Sociology. I know Blaine from our club,“ Makyla shook her head vehemently and bit on her piece of pizza she hadn't touched until now.
"Me neither. English major,“ Jeff pointed to himself. "But I know him from high school. Wes and David do too.“
"I share some classes with him. I'm a Voice Major,“ Jesse said finally with smug expression.
"It's not the only thing you shared with him,“ Makyla eyed him and snorted. That made Kurt's eyebrow raise.
"We dated in our freshman year,“ Jesse admitted with a smirk. "But only for two months.“
"Yeah, because after those two months of exhausting marathon sex they discovered they have nothing in common,“ Makyla finished the story with a malicious chuckle.
"What can I say,“ Jesse shrugged nonchalantly looking not at all embarrassed. Kurt wouldn't be suprised if the boyfriend Blaine didn't actually count was Jesse.
"Well… that's certainly interesting,“ Kurt snickered in the end. It was useful information if nothing else.
The party wasn't getting wild yet but everyone seemed to be a bit tipsy. Empty bottles were gathering under the coffee table and the amount of wine stains on the floor was escalating. No pizza was left but there was still lots of food and alcohol as well. Then someone suggested playing games and all of them ended up perched on the floor with full glasses in hands, playing Never Have I Ever.
"I have never been in a threesome,“ Wes started and Jesse, Sunshine and Makyla took a swig. "Shit, not fair,“ Wes mumbled and watched them with envy.
"I've never been tied up,“ Sunshine continued and made Jesse – no surprise – and Blaine – great surprise – drink. When Kurt gave Blaine a once-over, he blushed a bit.
"I've never had a sex in public,“ Jesse grinned viciously.
"I'm gonna fucking kill you,“ Makyla growled and drank. Some looked at her with surprise. "So what?“
"I've never slept with a boy,“ Mae confessed at her turn (Kurt was glad nobody paid attention when he didn't drink).
"Well, I have never barebacked,“ Blaine said and the only one who took the swig was Jeff.
"Jeff! How many times did we help in AIDS shelter?“ Makyla scowled at him furiously.
"I was drunk,“ Jeff mumbled all red and embarrassed.
"I've never kissed a boy,“ Kurt said in hurry and looked down to the floor.
"That's okay, Kurt,“ Mae smiled at him kindly.
"That could be changed easily," Jesse gave him a really sly smirk. Makyla looked at him with disgust and tried to kick him.
"Calm down, kids! Ok… I've never been skinny dipping,“ David took his turn. After a while there was the next round and statements got even dirtier despite Kurt thinking that was impossible. Everyone was even more drunk now too (especially Jesse, Makyla and Sunshine who seemed to have really interesting sex lives).
"I've never slept with a girl,“ Jeff stated and Jesse and Blaine didn't drink as well. Only Kurt.
"Kurt?“ Makyla gave him an almost shocked expression. Kurt really wanted to disappear right now. Kurt searched Blaine´s eyes. He didn't look suprised – but maybe a little bit disappointed. Of course he was.
"How could you?“ Jesse gave him a scandalised look and although it was a joke obviously, Kurt felt even worse.
"Leave him be,“ Blaine made himself heard.
"Because I thought that if I did it, I might turn straight. That I wouldn't have to pretend to be someone I'm not. Everything would be so much easier, fuck,“ Kurt spit out angrily without really wanting to. He wanted to be himself, he wanted to, but he just couldn't.
There was a moment of silence. Just a short one but it was still awkward. If Kurt wasn't drunk he would leave and drive away.
"It's okay, Kurt,“ Blaine said because nobody else would make Kurt listen to him. Others stayed silent respectively.
"Somebody, continue, please,“ Kurt muttered and Wes started babbling something immediately. Then Kurt felt a hand on his and he didn´t have to look up to know Blaine was leaning over Jeff's back. He squeezed it.
The game didn't last long either from boredom or running out of kinks. Then someone had that great idea to put on music ("The building is full of students and deaf pensioners. Nobody will complain, it's tried-and-true,“ Blaine explained nonchalantly). By that time wine ran out and they switched to different kinds of liquors. Kurt was getting tipsier by the second. Surprisingly he held it well, didn't feel nauseaous just a bit dizzy and relaxed. He danced crazily and it felt great. When Blaine appeared he made him dance with him but it was rather Jesse who kept re-appearing and touching lightly with his body while moving with him in the rhythm of whatever was playing. The last thing Kurt remembered was Sunshine dancing the cancan on the coffee table.

Kurt expected to wake up with awful hangover but to his surprise he wasn't sick. Just his head throbbed a bit and his legs were heavy, not to mention the ache in his neck and back but that could be blamed on sleeping hunched in an armchair. When he looked around frowning and found out he could end more badly. The couch was occupied by Makyla and Mae cuddled together and Jesse, Wes and Sunshine lay on the fluffy rug which certainly couldn't be comfortable. Kurt had to grin maliciously when he noticed Jesse had an arm thrown around Wes's chest. He'd like to see their faces after they woke up. Since Kurt felt the pressing urge to pee he tiptoed to the bathroom. Here he found David sleeping in the tub covered with a big towel. Unfortunately he left his toothbrush in his bag and he needed it badly. That meant he had to go to Blaine's bedroom. And when he did, he didn't have to wonder anymore where Jeff disappeared. To his surprise, he lay next to Blaine. Both of them were deeply asleep, Jeff snorting slightly, sprawled on his back. Shirtless. Kurt allowed himself one last look at Blaine's tanned back and he grabbed his bag and sneaked from the bedroom. He would have to wait until he arrived home for brushing his teeth. Not wanting to wake up anyone he put on his shoes and left Blaine's apartment as quietly as possible.
