"Blaine, when did you get the time to put all this together?" Kurt asked, motioning to the picnic set up in front of him. It was beautiful, and, as most things with Blaine were, absolutely adorable. There were sandwiches on napkins, juice boxes, some strawberries, and even a rose in a little vase. Everything had been packed in a wicker basket, and was now laid out on a red and white checkered blanket. Kurt smiled fondly. "Well, I know we've both been busy with classes, and you practically live at Vogue now, so when I saw that you had a free afternoon I jumped on it. I skipped rehearsal today and packed everything while you were in your morning class."

"But don't you have a class today?"

"Well, who needs Music Theory when I have an amazing boyfriend at home all by himself?"

Kurt rolled his eyes, but couldn't help the half smile that appeared on his lips.

"I'm acing that class anyway; I can afford to miss a day. Besides, this is our first picnic in Central Park; you can finally scratch it off your bucket list."

Kurt's eyes lit up with excitement at that realization. "Oh my gosh, you're right! I can't believe we've been here seven months and I haven't even thought about it!"

Blaine just laughed as Kurt pulled out his phone and checked it off his list. "Well, this is wonderful. Thank you, Blaine." He leaned over and kissed his boyfriend lightly on the lips. Blaine sighed contentedly and they started in on their picnic.

They were just about to feed each other strawberries when the first clap of thunder sounded. Blaine jumped a bit at the sound and looked up at the darkening sky. "Oh no! I didn't even think to check the weather!" Kurt chuckled. "It's okay, we'll just pack up and finish this at the apartment," he reasoned. Blaine nodded in agreement and started packing the basket up. Kurt was tucking the blanket into the basket when the rain began to fall in a light drizzle. "Spring showers?" Blaine offered with a small smile; Kurt chuckled. Blaine grabbed the basket and they started walking towards their apartment. They were almost through the park when the rain began to pour.

"My hair!" Kurt exclaimed. Blaine laughed and reached for Kurt's hand. They sped their pace to a run and continued down the path. They were crossing Gapstow Bridge when Blaine stopped to catch his breath. He looked up at Kurt, who was standing with his eyes closed and his face turned up to the sky, letting the rain wash over him. His chestnut hair was soaked and sticking to his forehead. His face was pale, but his lips were pink, and there were raindrops clinging to his long eyelashes. Blaine was suddenly breathless again, but it wasn't from running. Once again he was caught off guard by just how stunning his boyfriend was. "Kurt?"

"Hmm?" Kurt turned to look at Blaine and a faint blush rose to his cheeks. "Sorry, I guess I just remembered why I used to love getting caught in the rain when I was little."

In a heartbeat Blaine closed the gap between them and captured Kurt's lips in a kiss. He wound one arm around his waist and pulled him closer, while the other hand tangled in his hair. Kurt draped his arms over Blaine's shoulder. The kiss was slow and sweet, and warm and wet and perfect.

When they finally pulled away, Kurt rested his forehead against Blaine's and sighed happily. "Twelve."

"What?" Blaine asked, pulling away just far enough to look into Kurt's eyes.

"That was number twelve," Kurt explained. "On my bucket list. A kiss in the rain."

Blaine could only smile before leaning back in to taste the rain on Kurt's lips once more.
