December 29
Hey
Hey you <3
I can’t raise a baby
Excuse me?
I’ve been thinking about what you told me and I can’t raise a baby and support it and you
What are you saying?
I’m done. I’m sorry, Rach, but I can’t.
You have got to be kidding me
You’re not breaking up with me, are you?
Over text... (unsent)
Yeah, I am. You’re a great girl, Rach, but I can’t do this.
Wow. Okay. I wish you’d done this in person
I’m sorry Rach
Don’t be.
I’m coming to your apartment.
Um okay. I’m not dressed or anything.
I don’t care. Kurt’s at work and I need someone to talk to
Okay, sure. I have your pickles and cheese whiz. :)
I’ll need them
Be there in ten
I’m here.
As soon as Rachel is in Blaine’s apartment, she drops her purse and coat and walks over to the couch, sitting down. She’s been crying and is still crying.
Blaine, confused, closes the door and slowly walks over to Rachel and sits down next to her.
“What’s going on?”
“He broke up with me.”
“He... are you serious? But yesterday...”
“He said he’d done some thinking and he can’t raise a baby...”
“Oh, Rachel...”
Blaine slides closer to Rachel and wraps his arms around her in a hug.
“Now what am I going to do?”
“You’re going to let the rest of us be here for you. Do you want some water?”
“Y-yes please...”
Blaine rubs Rachel’s back a little and pulls away before he stands up, looking at her. He heads out to the kitchen, pulling out his phone in the process, debating on texting Kurt.
Kurt, I have no idea what to do about Rachel. She’s in my apartment in tears because Brody left her. (unsent)
Finn?
Hey dude, what’s up?
You're pretty familiar with how Rachel works, right?
Yeah, I guess so. Why?
She's not doing so well. She's been crying for a while, I can tell. I just don't know what to do for her.
Wait, why is she crying? Did something happen?
Yeah. Something happened and its serious and I don't know how to make her feel better.
Um, okay, chocolate usually helps. And she should sing. It’s therapy for her.
Okay. I'm not sure she'd be up for singing.
She’s always up for singing. But chocolate. Plenty of chocolate.
I don't have chocolate. I hardly have anything besides her pickles and cheese whiz.
… what? /Her/ pickles and cheese whiz? Why does she have those? Sounds disgusting
Oh it is. I have to look away when she's eating it.
My mom tells me stories about how all she could eat when she was pregnant were pickles. That’s a little weird, hey?
It is. I don't understand what attracts pregnant women to pickles.
Wait... are you saying... Rachel’s not pregnant, is she?
Shit.
Um. Finn. You didnt hear this from me.
She will kill me.
Her boyfriend left her when she told him.
Oh wow... that sucks... I feel for her. Don’t worry, I won’t tell her you told me
So what do I do? I'm out of ideas and its so hard to see her upset.
Sing for her? That’s what I did when I knocked up my girlfriend in sophomore year
You... okay. That's a good idea.
Good luck. An emotional Rachel is tough to look after. You never know what exactly she wants
Yeah. If I had help this would be easier. I haven't really talked to Kurt in a while so its all on me.
Dude, what’s going on between you and Kurt?
I... don't know. But I'm trying to focus on Rachel.
It keeps my mind off of Kurt. (unsent)
Oh, I get it. If I lived in nyc I’d help more
I kind of wish you did live here. Just so I didn't have to do this alone.
You know, if there was anything I could do, I’d do it. Because I do still care about her. A lot
I’m going to try singing to her. She says I have a fantastic voice, so maybe it will work.
Okay dude, let me know how it goes
Blaine heads back into the living room with a glass of water, hoping that Rachel didn’t notice how long he was away.
“Here. Sorry, I had to crack ice cubes.”
“I-it’s alright... th-thanks...”
“Hey. Don’t write yourself off yet.
It’s only in you head you feel left out or looked down on.”
Blaine sits down, singing softly.
“It just takes some time, little girl
You’re in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything’s gonna be alright.”
“What are you doing?”
Rachel sniffs loudly, hanging her head and continuing to cry, even harder now.
Blaine stops and bites his lip, completely at a loss of what to do for his friend.
“I just don’t know what I’m doing...”
“It’s going to be okay. I.. I mean... I’m here for you.”
“Yeah, but it’s Brody who should be here! What’s wrong with him? I thought he loved me!”
“I... I... I forgot my water. In the kitchen. Be right back!”
Before Rachel can respond, Blaine is up and out of the room, back to the kitchen and scrambling to get his phone out.
*Incoming Call*
~”...Hello...?”~
Blaine whispers.
~”Finn, she’s out there... crying hysterically. I have no idea what I’m doing.”~
~”Did you try singing?”~
~”I did. It was a really positive, uplifting song and she just got even worse. Asking me why he left her and I have no idea what to answer...”~
~”Oh wow, uh... you know what? What if I came to New York? I’ve known Rachel longer. I could help out. I’d have to check flights, though, see when I can get in.”~
~”Normally, I’d say no, don’t do that. But at this point, I’m going to do anything I can to convince you that you should do that. I’ll pay for the flight even. You can stay with me.”~
~”Dude, you don’t need to do that. I got a bunch of money from my step-dad for Christmas, I can afford a flight. But I wouldn’t say no to staying with you.”~
~”Awesome. Look up flights for as soon as you can get here. I’ll text you my address. Oh, and bring chocolate.”~
~”Will do. Take care, dude.”~
~”You too. And thanks.”~
Blaine hangs up the phone and heads back out to the living room, opting to pass the time until he hears from Finn by hugging Rachel. He sits down next to her and doesn’t say a word, wrapping his arms around her.
Rachel leans into Blaine’s embrace, sobbing into his shoulder.
Muttering shushing sounds and rubbing Rachel’s back, Blaine stays right where he is.
“It’s... n-not... fair...”
“I’m sorry, Rachel. It isn’t fair. I know.”
“I’m just so angry at him right now!”
“I know you are. He’s a jerk. You don’t need him anyway. There’s someone better for you out there.”
“Like who? In case you haven’t noticed, all of the guys I’m remotely close to are gay!”
“I... Maybe you just haven’t met him yet?”
“I don’t need you to recite song lyrics to me right now! It’s not going to work!”
“I’m not... I wasn’t trying to... upset you. I...”
“Please just stop talking.”
Blaine doesn’t reply and instead just sits there.
“But... why?”
“I don’t know.”
“I miss him so much...”
“I know...”
Dude, I found a flight that gets me to JFK at 3:25 today
Blaine feels his phone vibrate in his pocket and pulls it out, attempting to hide it from Rachel.
Awesome. I’ll hold down the fort till you get here.
My address is 13 E. 26th St, apt 6A.
Text me when you land.
I’m going to try to get Rachel to go for ice cream.
Alright, will do.
“Who are you texting?”
“Oh, uh, no one. It’s not important. I was, uh, getting rid of them. You know, so I could focus on you. Listen. You wanna go get some ice cream? My treat?”
“I guess... I guess I could do with ice cream. Sure.”
“Let’s go. Strawberry? That’s your favorite right?”
Blaine puts his coat on, not caring that he’s going out in sweatpants and a tshirt.
“Yeah. Let’s go. Yeah, that’s my favourite.”
The two head out of the building and down the street.
“There’s a place up here, I always get my ice cream from them.”
“Sure, let’s just go.”
“Okay.”
Blaine leads Rachel to the deli on the corner with the homemade ice cream, and opens the door for her.
Rachel tries to keep herself from crying, but fails and is crying as she walks in the deli in front of Blaine.
“Can you order while I go try to clean up?”
“Yes, of course.”
Rachel runs off to the bathroom.
Blaine steps up to the counter and gets the attention of the girl behind the counter, who seems very focused on Rachel.
“Hi. Can I get a quart of strawberry ice cream, and a quart of chocolate chip, please?”
“Yeah, sure. That’ll be nine fifty.”
“Thanks.”
Blaine pays for the ice cream and moves to the side to wait for his order and Rachel.
Rachel comes out of the bathroom and walks over to Blaine, her eyes red and puffy.
“I don’t know how long I’ll last before I start crying again.”
“That’s okay. I got us quarts. We’re going to take it back to my place and watch Disney movies and just eat it out of the container.”
The girl behind the counter hands a bag to Blaine, and he takes it.
“Oh. Okay. Let’s go, then.”
Blaine grabs for Rachel’s hand.
“I’m trying here.”
“Trying what?”
“Trying to help.”
“You’re not doing a good job of it.”
“I can’t exactly say I’ve ever had an emotionally compromised friend before. I’m doing my best.”
“Well it isn’t good enough because I still feel horrible!”
“I’m sorry! What do you want? I tried singing and buying you ice cream.”
“I don’t know, try harder!”
Blaine glances at the clock on the wall. Two more hours.
“What’s your favorite movie?”
“You already know it.”
“Favorite feel good movie?
“Same thing.”
Blaine takes a deep breath as they reach the steps to his apartment, trying not to flip out on Rachel. He lets it out.
“Do you even want to be with me right now?”
“I reached out to you because I trust you and Kurt’s working. But you’re not really helping. So maybe I should just go home and cry by myself.”
“I’m trying. Um. Let’s ditch the ice cream, and we’ll go ride around in a taxi for a little while aimlessly. Maybe we’ll see something interesting.”
“... Fine.”
Taking the stairs two at a time, Blaine runs into his apartment, and drops off the ice cream, then running back down the stairs and finding Rachel again. He waves his hand to get a cab.
When a cab stops for the two, Rachel climbs in and glances at Blaine apprehensively.
Blaine climbs into the cab and instructs the driver to just drive around Manhattan and that if he does, he'll get a hefty tip. The driver starts driving.
"You know I care about you, right Rach?"
“Yeah, I know.”
“Good. I just needed to make sure.”
Blaine nervously pulls out his phone and looks at the time.
Finn, we’re going to pick you up from the airport. Text me when you land.
“Yeah, alright. So, we’re just going to drive around?”
“Where would you like to go?”
“I don’t know.”
“Rachel?”
“What?!?”
Blaine swallows and reaches over to take Rachel’s hand. He looks over at her and tries to calm her down with his eyes.
“I love you.”
“Seems like you’re one of the select few who actually do.”
“Anyone who doesn’t is kind of stupid.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re amazing and wonderful and beautiful and they don’t know what they’re missing out on.”
“No I’m not. I’m selfish and too prideful and I’m a terrible friend.”
“Stop. You’re not a terrible friend. Bring prideful is a good thing. It means you respect yourself. I don’t lie. I won’t start just to let you keep thinking you’re a bad person.”
“Why would he just abandon me like that, though? It’s his baby!”
“Because he doesn’t know what he’s missing. He’s a jerk. You don’t need him anyway. You need people like me. And S-Sebastian. And... Kurt. And other people that care about you.”
“Again I ask, why are the only people who care about me gay?”
“People who aren’t gay care about you. Finn cares about you.”
“Finn? As in, my high school ex who practically shipped me off to New York? The one who can’t take his mind off of cheeseburgers to talk to me?”
“Actually, yes. And, he thinks about you more than cheeseburgers, I think. I know.”
“How do you know that?”
“It’s in the way he looks at you. When we landed, no, just the fact that he came to pick us up without even asking what was going on. He was worried when you were sick in the bathroom. He cares about you. And it’s obvious.”
“If you say so. He’s not here, though.”
“That could be a problem.”
Blaine clears his throat and leans up to the driver, whispering for the driver to head to the airport before leaning back into his seat.
“Could.”
“What did you tell him? Where are we going? What’s going on?”
“Just calm down. We’re driving. I told him a place to go that I think will make you happy. Or I hope, anyway.”
“All right. Fine.”
“In the meantime, come here.”
Blaine nudges Rachel toward himself, and attempts to put his arm around her.
Rachel leans into Blaine and breaks into tears again.
Wrapping his arms around her completely, Blaine holds Rachel tightly, leaning his head down on hers.
“It’s not fair!”
“I know.”
Blaine squeezes his arms around Rachel.
“I just... ugh.”
“I know, I know. But it’s going to be okay.”
“If you say so...”
Rachel falls silent.
Blaine is still, holding Rachel. The scenery passes by, and he wonders if she’s sleeping. Before long, they’re pulling up to the airport.
Rachel dozes off, but wakes up as they slow down to a stop.
“The airport? What are we doing here?”
“I have something to show you.”
Giving the driver more money than he owes, Blaine ushers Rachel out of the cab.
“What could you show me at an airport?”
“The fewer questions you ask, the better.”
“Blaine Anderson, you tell me this instant!”
“You’ll see!”
“I’m mad at you right now.”
“Okay. We can get back in the cab and go home?”
“Oh, no. I’m curious.”
“Then don’t complain. Or ask questions.”
Blaine glances at his phone.
“What are-”
Rachel stops talking abruptly and looks down.
“Hmm?”
Blaine walks two more steps and stops to look back at Rachel.
“Are we waiting for a certain flight or something?”
“I don’t know. And I’m going to answer every question with that, too.”
“You are being very irritable right now.”
“Mhm. You can thank me later.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
“Let’s get some Starbucks.”
“Fine.”
Blaine takes Rachel’s hand and walks with her toward the Starbucks outside of the concourse.
“Hot chocolate? That’s what you like, right?”
“Yeah. Hot chocolate. Yum. I want pickles too.”
“Um, I’m not sure we can get pickles here...”
“Oh...”
“But I’ll find out.”
Stepping up to the counter, Blaine offers a pleading look to the cashier.
“Could I get a grande hot cocoa and a grande nonfat mocha. And, do you have pickles?”
“I’m sorry, pickles?”
“Yeah, pickles.”
“Um, yeah. We do, actually. Because of the sandwiches.”
“Well, I need some pickles.”
The cashier gives Blaine a weird look and gets the order together, putting the pickles in a little to-go container that Blaine takes and hands to Rachel.
“Pickles.”
Rachel’s face lights up and she takes the pickles, taking one out and popping it into her mouth.
“Mmm, thanks!”
“Of course.”
“Hot cocoa! Nonfat mocha!”
Blaine offers thanks to the barista and takes the two drinks, sipping the chocolaty coffee drink and handing Rachel her own drink.
Rachel sips at her hot chocolate, smiling as a group of people just getting off their flight walk by.
“There’s not much better than a nice hot cup of your favorite drink.”
“That’s a mocha, though. That’s Kurt’s favourite drink.”
“...Yeah. I know.”
“You really care about him.”
Blaine stares at his cup.
“I... miss him.”
“You do? Then you should be fighting for him.”
“He doesn’t want to talk to me. I’m giving him the space he wants.”
“You told me to talk to Brody. Now it’s my turn to tell you, you really need to talk to Kurt.”
“I’ve talked to him. A little.”
“What did you talk about?”
“Um, me eating. How we’re not going to any parties on New Year’s Eve.”
“Oh. You should talk to him about... the two of you.”
“He doesn’t want to talk about... us. I think...nevermind.”
“What?”
“Nothing. Jeez. It’s quarter to four.”
“Yes, why is that an issue?”
“I... It’s.. not? Um...”
Blaine glances around, turning to look behind him.
Dude where are you? I’ve been wandering around the airport looking for you
OMG Finn. We’re standing outside of Starbucks. Where are you?
Oh, I’m like just down the hall a bit. Oh, crap, I was supposed to text you when I got off the plane wasn’t I?
Yeah, kinda. Come our way, please.
Oh, crap, I’m sorry
“Who are you texting?”
“Ummm....”
“Blaine, Rachel, hey.”
“Ohmigosh, Finn?!?”
“Finally.”
Rachel stands still in shock.
“Hey, Rach. Surprise!”
“Yeah, Surprise....”
“Wh-what are you doing here in New York?”
“I... uh... well...”
Finn looks to Blaine.
“I was trying to make you happy earlier, Rachel. And, I was running out of ideas. So, I texted Finn for ideas. And when they didn’t work, we opted for him to come here.”
“Oh my... Blaine, you... Finn... he... you don’t know, do you, Finn? Do you know...?”
“I... I know you’ve got... you’re...”
Finn whispers.
“Pregnant.”
“Oh, my... BLAINE!”
Blaine bites his lip and backs away a little.
“Finn. You. Ugh. Rachel, it was an accident. He guessed it. He said to give you chocolate and I said that all I had was your pickles and cheese whiz and he commented about his mom saying she always wanted pickles when she was pregnant, and I kind of... commented back that it was weird... and yeah... Please don’t kill me.”
“Oh my gosh...”
“Yeah, it wasn’t his fault, I promise. Rach, I’m here for you, okay.”
“...I told you, Rachel.”
“I... Blaine, thank you so much...”
Rachel turns between Blaine and Finn for a moment before reaching out with both hands and pulling both to her and hugging them both.
Blaine sighs in relief, and puts his arm around Rachel to return the hug.
“Of course.”
“Rach, I’m here. I care about you. I’m gonna look after you.”
“Thank you Finn... Blaine, you... you need to go talk to Kurt.”
“I... he... doesn’t want to talk to me. I told you... I’m... giving him his space...”
“Blaine Anderson, if you don’t go talk to Kurt right now, I swear I am going to murder you.”
“What do you want me to say to him? He doesn’t want to talk...”
“Just talk to him.”
“I’d do what she says, Blaine.”
Blaine shoots a glance at Finn and the looks back at Rachel.
“I don’t have to call him do I?”
“Do what you want. But talk to him. Soon.”
“I’ll... I’ll think about it.”
“You’d better. Finn, could we go for ice cream?”
“Uh... Blaine, are you okay if we...”
“Yeah, no that’s fine. I’m okay.”
“Okay. Come on, Rach.”
“Love you, Blaine. Really, I do...”
Rachel starts to get teary-eyed as she hugs Blaine tightly.
Blaine returns Rachel’s hug.
“I love you too, Rach. Rachie.”
“Bye Blainey. Good luck.”
Finn nods at Blaine and puts his arm around Rachel who starts to sob again, walking off with her.
Blaine stands there, holding his mocha and watching Finn and Rachel walk away. He pulls out his phone.
Kurt, I miss you. (unsent)
Hi.
Hi
I miss you so much (unsent)
How are you?
Very bored. How about you?
I’m okay, I guess. I’m at the airport.
The airport? Why?
Rachel was freaking out. I called Finn. Finn came to NYC. On a whim. He’s with Rachel now. I’m standing in the airport with a nonfat mocha texting you.
You called Finn? Not me?
I didn’t think you drank mochas...
I didn’t think you’d want to talk to me. (unsent)
I didn’t think I could handle seeing you since we’re not really talking right now. (unsent)
Yeah. I thought you were busy.
And...I normally don’t.
Blaine, I would drop EVERYTHING to help Rachel
What’s wrong with her, anyway?
Why start now?
It’s a long story. One she should probably tell you.
And, because I miss you like crazy and I’m trying anything so that it’s like you’re here. (unsent)
I just thought I’d try something new.
Oh. Okay. She’s okay now, though?
Oh. Alright.
Yeah, she’s okay. Finn took her for ice cream.
Okay, that’s good.
When can I see you again? (unsent)
How’s work?
(ten minutes later)
Work’s good. How are you?
Alright.
I’m getting in a cab now.
Where are you going?
Home
I guess. (unsent)
Oh. I’m off work soon
Can I see you? (unsent)
Are you looking forward to it?
I guess so. It’s been a long day
Yeah.
I wonder if it’s going to snow
I don’t know.
Actually, it’s supposed to. (unsent)
I think if it does, I might just go out to the park
Really?
I didn’t mean to send that (unsent)
Yeah.
That’s cool.
I thought you hated snow?
Not right now
I’m using it to substitute for something else
Oh. What?
Someone I care about so much
Kurt.
Blaine.
I’m going crazy without you around. (unsent)
I might see you.
If you go to the park in the snow.
Oh? Would you be watching for me?
I mean, I could.
If you want.
It’s okay if you don’t.
I’ve gotta go for a meeting. Sorry
Oh. Have a good time.
I’m sorry. (unsent)
Yeah. Talk to you later
I love you (unsent)
K.
Kurt gathers his things and runs down to the main entrance of the Vogue building, ready to go home. He’s trying to control his emotions, but needs to get in a cab fast so he can silently cry in the back seat. Seeing a cab in front of the building, he tilts his head, trying to see if there’s someone inside.
Blaine’s cab is stopped outside of the Vogue building as he pays the driver. He wearily gets out of the car, regretting having it stop here, since it’s a long walk back to his apartment. Glancing up and completing ignoring the people on the street, he counts the floors to Kurt’s before turning and heading toward home.
Kurt sees Blaine get out of the cab and panics, remaining quiet. Biting his lip and looking at the car longingly, he makes up his mind and tries to blend in with the crowd, following Blaine.
Blaine presses his hands to his face for a second as he walks, taking a deep breath and then shoving them into his pockets, still ignoring the world around him in favor of watching the sidewalk.
It’s a nice afternoon, isn’t it?
It’s okay.
Lots of people on the streets
Yeah. Well, it is NYC, after all.
You have a point. I’m in the cab going home now. Meeting was cancelled last minute so I left only a few moments ago
Oh. Well, that’s good I guess. Early day for you then.
Yeah. But it was a long day. I was there quite early.
What’s going on that you needed to be there early on a Saturday?
Major photoshoot coming up
I see.
Yeah. I love the city at this time of day
How come?
I don’t know.
Oh, it’s snowing!
Blaine glances up from the ground, half surprised at Kurt’s exclamation, and half surprised at the snow. A smile slowly stretches across his face and he slows down his walking pace slightly.
It is!
Kurt carefully slows his pace to keep a safe distance behind Blaine and smiles.
It’s really quite beautiful
You used to hate snow.
Yeah, but someone special changed my mind
Blaine’s smile turns softer and he bites his lip, still walking slowly.
Really?
Yeah. And it’s really hard, being apart from that person right now
Blaine walks very slowly now, staring at his phone and not knowing how to reply.
[silence]
Kurt stops, watching Blaine closely.
Is everything alright?
Yeah, I just... I thought... I don’t know.
You’re making my heart explode again.
Oh. I... you’re welcome?
[four minutes later]
I miss you, Kurt.
I miss you too. So much
It’s really hard to be away from you.
I just said that
I know. But it’s a fact.
If you knew how close I was to you (unsent)
Yeah, I get that
So, are you going to walk in the park since it’s snowing?
Yeah, I think so
Maybe I’ll see you.
Creepy :)
A little.
Too bad it’s not night time. There would be twinkle lights.
Like there were the first time you saw me in person.
Just from the back. I only saw your face for a split second in the coffee shop.
I had such a panic attack when I saw you
I had such a broken hand when I realized I was stalking you.
Oh?
You don’t remember that?
I do. Because Wes used your phone
Yeah.
Wes is the only reason I’m not laying in a pile on my couch right now. (unsent)
I don’t get that guy
What?
Wes. I don’t know what he’s after. Especially not after everything he’s done
He’s in everything for himself.
Blaine starts picking up his pace a bit more.
Kurt matches pace with Blaine, still far enough behind to blend in with the crowd.
That’s for sure. But apparently Seb’s happy.
Yeah. I guess they’re good for each other.
I still don’t get how a guy as nice as Seb could stand someone like Wes but I guess love is love.
You don’t get to pick who you fall in love with.
Don’t we know it
I tried to not love you. (unsent)
I’m still sorry for everything.
Don’t be.
I’m trying.
I still love you. (unsent)
You are incredible, Blaine
Exploding.
I’m glad I can still do that to you...
I seriously doubt it will ever stop.
Every time I see you.
Explosions.
(silence)
I... I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.
Just... don’t go away again.
I’ll take it back.
No, it’s okay. I just was paying the cab driver. I’m in the park now.
The snow is really beautiful. Much better when you’re actually out in it
Oh. Okay.
Blaine turns the corner off of Madison Avenue onto 26th St and walks the little way to his building, where he pauses, staring across the street.
You’re in the park?
Yeah, that’s what I said
Well, I know you said that.
I’m standing on 26th.
Oh
But I have to go upstairs and check on something, so I can’t come into the park.
Oh.
Blaine continues standing there at the edge of the street, staring across into the park.
Yeah.
That sucks. I guess.
[silence]
Well, I’m just wandering aimlessly through the park
I want to see you. (unsent)
Can I come see you? (unsent)
It looks pretty out there. I’m jealous that you’re in the snow and I’m not.
Of course you are, as much as I appreciate snow now, you’ll always like it more than me
I’d give it up in a minute just to see you.
Really?
I’m sorry. I wasn’t going to send that. I shouldn’t have sent that.
It was sweet
I’m just... I’m trying not to chase you away.
You’re not
This is killing me. (unsent)
It’s freezing out here.
I thought you were going to your apartment?
I was.
I did.
I mean...
I’ve been standing here on 26th street the entire time.
Seriously?
I know
What?
Um, yes, I know. I was watching you from behind a tree. But I’ve actually gone into the park again.
Oh. I didn’t see you.
Yeah, because I was behind a tree
Right.
I guess we’re both stalkers now
I dunno, I kinda like it.
You do?
Well, not that it’s stalking.
But that you’re kind of near me.
Oh
Sorry. Again. I’m gonna stop now.
I’m gonna go.
Inside.
It was really nice seeing you again, Blaine. Even if you didn’t get a chance to see me
Maybe sometime soon.
I miss you.
I miss you too (unsent)
(silence)
Freezing cold and covered in snow, Blaine stares at his phone for ten minutes, waiting for a reply from Kurt. When one doesn’t come, he tucks his phone back into his pocket and glances out to the park one more time, then turning and heading up the steps to his apartment.
Kurt stares down at his dead phone, silently cursing it and slips it into his pocket, walking briskly through the park to Starbucks.

I really liked this a lot. Finn coming to NYC was sweet and how Blaine and Finn did that was perfect for Rachel.Brody is such a jerk! What the hell is his problem?? The Kurt and Blaine thig....uhh...why can't they just make up they obviously still love and miss eachother so they should make up and live happily ever after! P.S. Just wondering how many chapters were in this so I can prepare myself for sadness when it ends.
I just thought I should let you know, so that you're not completely stunned... but the next chapter is the last for The Grasshopper Brigade.
I do not believe that Kurt did not go to Blaine's appartment :-(
