November 29

What are you doing tonight?

No plans.  My class was cancelled tomorrow morning.

Would you like to hang out?

I think you already know the answer to that question.

Great :) Meet me at my apartment, say, 7?

Sure!  What should I wear?

Rachel I need ideas

Hm?

For a date.  I want to take Blaine out tonight

Awwwwwww

So, ideas?

Um... dinner?

No, we’ve done that

Oooo Central Park has their skating rink open!

… great, snow

It’ll be romantic~

You’re right.  Thanks, Rach

You’re welcome <3

<3

Dress warm

Oooh ominous. ;)

I’ll see you at 7!

See you :)

Blaine glances at his watch.  It’s 6:47, and he’s already standing on the street below Kurt’s apartment, wearing his peacoat, a particularly soft red scarf, and matching red gloves.  In his pocket is a pair of black earmuffs, and a snowflake, for just in case.  He watches traffic for a few minutes and then, too anxious to keep waiting, heads inside and up to Kurt’s apartment.  He glances at his watch again.  6:58.  Not too bad.  He knocks.

Kurt waits in his living room, absentmindedly humming.  When he hears the knock at the door, he jumps up and walks over to the door, grabbing his long black coat as he goes.  Once he opens the door, he smiles.

“Hey!”

Blaine’s entire face lights up when Kurt opens the door.

“Hi!  So, what are we doing tonight?”

“It’s a surprise.”

Kurt smiles shyly.

“I like surprises.”

“That’s good.  So shall we?  Rachel’s not home tonight to pester us before we leave.”

“Oh, we shall.  And, good.  Last time was a little intense.”

Blaine holds his arm out for Kurt to take.

Kurt takes Blaine’s arm and starts walking out of the apartment.

“Yeah, she’s a protective one.”

“It’s a good quality in a friend, though.  I see why you’ve stuck with each other for so long.”

“Believe it or not, we used to hate each other.”

“Oh, really?  You know, I can’t picture that in my head.”

“It was mostly just competition in Glee Club for solos.  We were both divas.”

“It’s kind of cute that you admit to being a diva.”

“Heh.  There’s a lot you don’t know about me from my high school days.”

“Well, that’ll have to change.  We can play truth or hippo.”

“I’ll even be nice and let you ask all the questions tonight.”

“Are you going to respond to all of them with hippo as the answer? Cause that doesn’t sound all that fun.”

“I’ll try to answer as many as I can.”

“Ooooh good.  So, when does this game of truth or hippo start?”

“It can start now and continue while we’re in the taxi.”

“Oh, a taxi?  We’re going somewhere that’s not close by, aren’t we?”

“Hippo.”

“You’re adorable.   Okay, let’s see.  What was your favorite class back in high school?”

“French.  Je l’adore.”

“I wish I could remember more of my French class so that I could translate what you just said.”

“All I said was I love it.  Basic French.”

“Myeah.  You heard my French the other night.  That’s the extent of it.  How I passed that class, I’ll never know.”

“I once brought McKinley’s cheerleading squad a Nationals win by singing Celine Dion songs in French.  But it’s okay, French isn’t for everyone.”

“You were a cheerleader?”

“Yeah, for a bit, in my sophomore year.”

“Learning new things.  What other crazy, off the wall things did you do?  Were you also on the football team? Hah!”

“I was, actually.  Kicker.”

“Wh-really?”

“Yeah.  I was trying to prove to my dad I was straight.  Turns out I had quite the talent as a kicker.  But I quit when the coach made me choose between Glee and football.”

“I’m trying to picture you in a football uniform.”

“Really, now?”

Blaine clears his throat and quickly looks around.

“So, you picked Glee Club then?”

“Yeah.  I think I’ve told you, performing was my dream.”

“Yes, you did tell me that. I don’t like how you say ‘was’ though.  Dreams shouldn’t die.”

“I’ve discovered a new dream.”

“Fashion?”

“Yeah.  These past couple of years, working at Vogue... I love it.”

“It’s a good thing that you love your job.  A lot of people don’t.”

“Yeah, I suppose.  Next question?”

“Hmm.  Do you have any siblings?”

“A stepbrother.”

“Favorite music genre?”

“Broadway.”

“Favorite movie?”

“The Notebook.”

“Favorite actor?”

“Ryan Gosling.”

“What’s your dream vacation?”

“Paris.”

“Where are you taking me tonight?”

“Hippo.”

Blaine pulls his arm from Kurt’s and pauses for a minute in mock-anger.

“Oh, come on! I can’t believe you didn’t fall for that.”

“Sorry, Blaine.  You can’t fool me that easily.”

“Lesson learned.  So... let’s see.”

Turning back to walk next to Kurt, Blaine innocently, and absent-mindedly, slips his arm around Kurt’s waist.

“Were you a lucky kid that got to drive their own car to school?”

Kurt can’t help but smile as he feels Blaine’s arm around him.  Standing on the curb, he finally manages to flag down a taxi for the two of them and wordlessly hands the driver a note with exactly where he wants to take Blaine, still keeping it secret.

“Yes.  Then no.  Then yes again.”

“Care to explain that one?”

“My friend busted the window of my car in sophomore year, so I couldn’t use it for a bit.  It’s all silly now.”

“Another diva moment?”

“She had a crush on me and I said I liked someone else, so she got a bit upset.  We laugh about it now, though.”

“So, you’re a ladies man then.”

“Very funny.”

“I do try.  Okay, next question.  When’s your birthday?”

“May 27th.”

“That’s a good time of year for a birthday.  Nice and warm outside.”

“Yeah, I enjoy it.  I’m going to break the rules for a second and ask when your birthday is.”

“February 5th.”

“Cool.  It’s coming up, then.  In a few months.  Back to your questions now.”

“It is coming up.  And, cats or dogs?”

“Tough one.  Dogs.”

“Look!  A thing we have in common.”

Blaine elbows Kurt a little and smiles, wide and sarcastic.

“Yay, we’re not total opposites!”

Kurt is obviously being sarcastic as he elbows Blaine back.

“Oh, look.  We’re here!”

Blaine looks out the window as the car stops.

“Central Park?”

“Yeah.”

Kurt quickly pays the taxi driver, getting out of the car and waiting for Blaine.

Blaine is thoughtful, missing the opportunity to try and fight Kurt over who should pay the driver, and follows Kurt out of the car, again, absently putting his arm around Kurt’s waist.

Kurt once again smiles at the contact and leans just a bit against Blaine as he walks into the park, purposely not saying anything about where they’re going.

“It is so pretty here at night.  I hardly ever come up this way.”

“It is, isn’t it.”

As they arrive at the skating rink, Kurt turns to Blaine and smiles shyly.

“Well... here we are.”

Looking up, Blaine’s smile, if possible, gets wider.

“Kurt, you’re fantastic.”

“I know.”

“I haven’t been skating in a long time.  Let’s go!”

Blaine excitedly grabs Kurt’s hand and pulls him along.

Kurt grins and lets Blaine drag him towards the rink, happy that his surprise worked.

“I’m glad you like it.”

“Of course I like it!  It’s perfect.”

“I’ll warn you, though, I’m a horrible skater.”

“Nah, you can’t be that bad.  Besides, I’m pretty good.  Combined, we’ll be mediocre.”

“Remember, I hate snow.  I haven’t gone skating in forever, for that reason.  And I was never remotely good.”

“You still hate snow?  I’m not trying hard enough then.”

“Hated.”

“Correction noted.”

Stepping up to the skate rental counter, Blaine doesn’t let go of Kurt’s hand.

Kurt gets a pair of skates from the rental counter, finding it hard to operate with only one hand, and grins at Blaine.

Blaine gets his own pair of skates and has just a difficult a time, but refuses to let go of Kurt’s hand just yet.  He leads them to a bench, where he decides he finally must let go, and he sits down to put the skates on.

“So, you can at least, like, move on skates, right?  Or, am I going to have to hold you the entire time?”

“Uncertain.  You may want to hold me at first until I figure out whether or not I can stay upright.”

“I’d hold you all night if you asked.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Well, let’s go see if I’ll need that...”

After getting his skates on, Kurt tentatively stands up, wobbling a bit.

Blaine stands, skates on, and notices Kurt wobbling.  He smiles and, facing Kurt, reaches over with both arms to steady the other.

“So, probably then?”

“Definitely.”

“Okay, let’s do this.”

Moving so that he’s standing next to Kurt, Blaine wraps his arm tightly around Kurt’s waist.

Kurt welcomes the arm keeping him steady and tentatively slides one foot forward, feeling himself start to fall.  He clutches at Blaine to keep himself upright, not thinking that it might make Blaine fall as well.
Blaine isn’t expecting Kurt to immediately start falling, and he isn’t prepared when Kurt tries to hold himself up on him.  Slipping on the ice, Blaine pulls Kurt in close, so that the impact of the fall won’t hurt Kurt.

Kurt lets out a yelp as his unsteadiness makes Blaine fall, and he falls on top of Blaine, tangling their limbs together.

“Ohmigosh I’m so sorry...”

Blaine laughs the entire way down, and even more when Kurt lands on top of him.  He lays flat on the ice, his arms still wrapped around Kurt while he apologizes.

“It’s okay, really.”

“I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get up...”

“That’s okay too.  People will go around us.”

Blaine continues laughing.

“You’re laughing at me.”

“No, I’m laughing because I’m having fun.  With you.”

“I guess this is sorta fun.  Cold, though.”

“I’ll keep you warm.  I’m like a human space heater.  In fact, I’m probably going to melt the entire rink just by laying on it.”

“The ever infamous Blaine Anderson humour.  I like it.”

“I like you.”

“... I like you too.”

Blaine smiles a big, dorky smile, and wills his equally dorky blush to go away.

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah.  I like you a lot, Blaine.”

Lying there on the ice, Kurt stares at Blaine, smiling.

Staring right back, Blaine’s heart goes into overdrive.

“I like you a lot, Kurt.”

Kurt feels butterflies in his stomach and can’t take it anymore.  Already so close to Blaine, he closes the gap and gently presses his lips to the other man’s, his hand coming to rest on Blaine’s shoulder.

Blaine’s breath catches in his throat as Kurt kisses him, and he kisses right back, closing his eyes and sliding his gloved hands up Kurt’s back and attempting to pull the other closer.

Kurt allows himself to be pulled closer, putting both gloved hands on Blaine’s face, not caring in the least that they were in public.

Breaking the kiss for just a second, Blaine whispers before planting a very soft kiss on the corner of Kurt’s mouth.

“You’re my favorite.”

Kurt smiles softly and wraps his arms around Blaine’s neck.

“I love you.”

Blaine blinks as he stares at Kurt, completely forgetting how to breathe.  He’s absolutely sure that his heart is going to explode out of his chest any second, but he still manages the softest of smiles, rubbing his thumbs back and forth where they touch Kurt.  He’s too caught up in the moment to remember to say anything in return, but remains right where he is, in his perfect moment in time.  In fact, he’s sure he’s going to wake up any second.

“... did I freak you out by saying that?”

“No, I... thought I was dreaming for a second.”

“I could pinch you.”

“Well, I’m still kind of not sure if this is real.”

“Someone once told me that this was so real.”

“That guy might have been dreaming too.  Is this a dream?”

“I don’t know, is it?”

“Let me see.”

Blaine kisses Kurt again.

“That feels real.”

“So real...”

“So it is real then, and I’m not dreaming.”

“Yeah.  We’re not dreaming.”

“Good.  Because I do love you.”

“Good to know.”

Kurt leans in and kisses Blaine again, tenderly.

Blaine smiles through the kiss, which he returns, gently.  Out of nowhere, a thick Flushing accent calls out, ‘Get a room!’  To this, Blaine starts laughing, and gives Kurt a hug before attempting weakly, because he doesn’t want to, to sit up.

“I guess they’re tired of going around us.”

Kurt laughs too and sits up, now sitting beside Blaine.

“Yeah.  How about that skating again?”

In a matter of seconds, Blaine is standing expertly in front of Kurt, on the ice.

“Yeah.  Skating.  Take my hands.  I’ll help you up.”

“Alright.”

Kurt reaches up with his hands.

Blaine stretches his hands out and catches Kurt’s, holding tightly, and pulling him up, then holding onto him tightly so that he doesn’t fall again.

“If you turn your back foot a little, it makes you a little more stable.  Not that I mind holding you.”

“I don’t mind it either.  But thanks, I’ll try.”

“Okay, well, push forward a little.”

Still holding onto Kurt, Blaine tries to show him how to push off.

Kurt tries, holding the arm not against Blaine out for more balance, and turns his foot like Blaine told him.

“Like that?”

“Yes, now you just let yourself slide a little.  And look in front of you, not at your feet.  Here, look at me.”

Blaine carefully moves in front of Kurt, holding Kurt’s hands while he skates backward.

“O-okay... like this?”

Kurt wobbles and wavers as he inches forward, looking directly at what was in front of him - Blaine’s face.  He keeps a death grip on Blaine’s hands.

“Don’t look so scared.  I’ll save you if you fall.”

“Like you did the first time I fell?”

Kurt sticks his tongue out at Blaine.

“Oh, come on.  Didn’t you feel safe?”

“You have a point there.  I felt very safe with you.”

“Plus, that was the best fall on the ice I’ve ever had.  Dunno about you.”

“You’re right.”

“And, look.  You’ve skated the entire way around the rink without falling.”

“Wow, I have, haven’t I.  Maybe this skating thing isn’t so bad after all.”

“Now you can start doing fun tricks like this.”

Blaine lets go of Kurt for a fraction of a second and spins around 360, a joking smile on his face.  He knows Kurt’s not about to try anything like that right now, and he also knows that Kurt is probably uncomfortable without his hands, so he reaches back up.

Kurt freaks out for just a moment when Blaine lets go of his hands and gladly welcomes the return of his safety net.

“Don’t do that again, please...”

“Oh okay.  No tricks.  I won’t let go.  I promise.”

“Thank you.”

“Anything for you.”

“You’re a sap.”

“I’m hopeless.”

“You’re adorable.”

“You bring that out in me, you know.”

“Do I?”

“Yes.  Ask anyone that knows me.  I’m not like this around anyone else.”

“I’m honoured.  And flattered.”

“You move me, Kurt.”

“... You’re amazing.”

“No, that’s you.  You’re everything.”

“Bublé.”

“You want me to sing it for you again? Cause I will.”

“Let’s get cocoa first.”

“I see how it is.  But okay.  By the way, you went around the rink three more times.”

“Wow.  And it’s actually been a lot of fun.  But I’m cold.”

“Human space heater, at your service.”

Blaine keeps a hold on Kurt and moves to his side, putting his arm around Kurt’s back again for support.  He starts to move toward the side of the rink.

“Thank you...”

Kurt wobbles just a bit as they step off the ice and clings to Blaine.

“I... I still don’t like skating that much.  But I’m more fond of it now.”

“I think I like it more, actually.”

“Why?”

“This is really dorky, but I kind of like it when you cling to me like that.”

“That is really dorky.  But adorable.  I feel safe when I cling to you.”

“I won’t let you fall.”

“Too late.”

“Earlier was an accident.  And I saved you.”

“You dork.  I didn’t get to finish my good line.”

“Oh, I’m sorry.  Here, I’ll start over.  I won’t let you fall.”

“Too late.  Already have.”

“You’re right, that was a good line.  Good enough to make me blush.”

“The effect was sort of ruined, though.”

“Nah, it wasn’t lost on me.”

“I’m lost in you.”

Blaine stops, turning to look at Kurt, dorky smile in place.

“Careful, you’re going to outdo yourself.”

“It’s your fault, you know.  For being so adorable.”

“There you go blaming me for you being perfect.”

“I’m not perfect.”

“To me, you’re perfect.  Perfectly imperfect.”

“It takes somebody who’s perfect to know someone else who’s perfect.”

“I’m far from perfect.”

“To me, you’re perfect.”

“I can’t believe it took me five years to meet you.”

“The universe was waiting for the right moment to bring us together.”

“Do you always know the perfect thing to say?”

“Not always.  You have your fair share.”

“You are my fair share.”

“I love you.”

“I adore you.”

“You are my Noah.”

“You can be my Allie if you promise never to forget... how it feels right now.”

Blaine leans in and kisses Kurt, pulling him as close as he can, and not caring about the tear that decided to betray him, and give away his emotional side.

Kurt kisses back, clinging to Blaine with his arms around his neck.  When he pulls back, he smiles at the tear and wipes it with his finger.

“I’ll never forget.  You’re my everything.  I can use that one too.”

“Can I tell you a secret?”

“When have you ever been able to keep a secret from me?  Go ahead.”

“You have a very good point.  Anyway, I need to tell you that this is by far my favorite night ever.  I mean, in fifty years when someone says, ‘Hey, Mr. Anderson, sir,’ cause I’ll be famous and whatever, ‘what was the best night of your life?’ I’m going to say this night.”

“I’m glad you’re enjoying it.  I’ve loved tonight too.  Definitely unforgettable...”

Kurt’s voice trails off as he sighs contently.

Blaine pulls Kurt down onto the bench where they left their shoes, and leans down, resting his head on Kurt’s shoulder while looking up at him with eyes that seem to be screaming his emotions.  He hums the chorus to ‘Everything’ and smiles up at Kurt.

“I love that song.”

“It is a good song.”

“It has a lot of meaning for me.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, you see, someone sang it to me once, and I fell in love with them that night.”

“It snowed that night.”

“Did it?  I don’t remember much about that night other than listening to that person sing and watching them.”

Blaine sits up suddenly.

“Yes.  It did.  I took you to the roof.”

“Right, I remember that.  It was magical.”

“Do you believe in magic, then?”

“I don’t know.  I believe a moment can be magical, though.”

“I believe in magic.  Hands down.  No questions about it.  Otherwise, I’d never never met you.”

“Wow.  How can I top that?”

“Kiss me.”

“As you wish.”

Kurt turns to face Blaine dead on and leans in, kissing him.

Blaine, obviously thrilled, kisses Kurt back, forgetting to do anything with his hands and leaving them in his lap.  When the kiss breaks, Blaine looks up at Kurt.

“Buttercup, I’m putty in your hands.”

“Oh, my Westley.”

Kurt, not finished, kisses Blaine again.

Blaine’s hands reach over, pulling Kurt closer, his hands clutching the fabric of Kurt’s coat.

Kurt smiles into the kiss and returns the favor.

Blaine’s brain all but stops working and he puts everything he has into this kiss, still clutching Kurt’s coat with his right hand, but bringing his left to Kurt’s neck, making sure Kurt doesn’t go anywhere.

“Mmmm”

Kurt pulls back just far enough that he can speak comfortably.
“We were going to get cocoa.”

Blaine keeps his eyes closed.

“What?  Do you want cocoa?”

“Yeah, the human space heater can only do so much.”

“You’re cold?”

Blaine’s eyes pop open then.

“Yeah, just a bit.”

“I was just thinking the opposite, actually.  But I’ll get us some cocoa.  You stay here.”

Standing, Blaine makes his way to the concession stand.  He glances at Kurt and gets out his phone while he’s waiting.

You know, you’re a really good kisser.

Kurt takes a second to pick up on what Blaine had said, and chuckles to himself.

“What a dork...”

Feeling his phone buzz, his first thought is Rachel, but he chuckles again when he sees who it is.

You’re not half bad yourself

Before Blaine has a chance to text back, his order is ready.  He takes the two cocoa cups and heads back to Kurt.

“Do you like cinnamon?”

“Yeah, I do.  Why?”

“Here.”

Blaine hands Kurt one of the cups of hot cocoa, and sits down next to him again.

“Thanks.  Why did you ask about cinnamon?”

“I put some in your cocoa.  I hope that’s okay.  If it’s not, you can have this one.”

“Oh.  No, it’s okay.  I like it.  It tastes good.  Thanks!”

Kind of proud of himself, Blaine smiles into his cup, glancing over the top of it at the rink and staying quiet for a moment.

“You okay?”

“Oh, mhmm.  Never better, actually.”

“I’m glad.  It’s been a perfect night so far.”

“Perfect... doesn’t even come close to describing it.”

“I guess you’re right...”

Blaine smiles into his cup again, but looks at Kurt this time.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

“Dork.”

“Guilty.”

“How can you be so adorable?”

“It’s your fault.”

“Oh really?”

“Really.”

“How so?”

“You make my brain just go fuzzy.  And I just end up saying the first thing that comes to my mind.  Apparently it works out alright though.”

“Yeah.  It does work out alright.  It makes me love you even more.”

“And every time you say that I just get even worse.”

“You know it works both ways, right?”

“Oh, does it?”

“Yeah.  When you act like this it makes my brain go fuzzy too.”

“Fuzzy... grasshoppers.  We make such a wonderful pair.”

“We do.”

Setting his cup down, Blaine reaches over for Kurt’s hand.

“Are you still cold?”

“Yeah, I am.”

“Human Space Heater to the rescue.”

Kurt grins and leans into Blaine, laying his head on his shoulder.

“I’m glad.  You make a good Human Space Heater.”

Blaine wraps his arm around Kurt and squeezes a little, rubbing his hand up and down on Kurt’s arm a bit.

“Why thank you.”

“You know, rubbing your hand like that isn’t helping the cold situation.”

“It’s not?”

“No.  It’s giving me goosebumps.”

Blaine smiles and takes Kurt’s cocoa from him, setting it next to his own, then reaching up and lifting Kurt’s chin just enough to give him a quick kiss.

“I think my new life goal is to give you goosebumps.”

“I think I like this life goal if it means kisses like that.”

“Every day.”

“Yay!”

“And things like that are what warrant those little kisses.”

Blaine kisses Kurt exactly the same as he did a moment ago.

“I think I need to figure out just what’s on the criteria for those because I like them.”

“Well, anything you say or do that I think is cute, that’s definitely on there.  I think I’ll keep the rest a secret.”

“Blaine Anderson, you are a tease.”

“That warrants a kiss.”

Smirking, Blaine kisses Kurt again.

“You’re going to make me blush.”

“Hmm.  I like when you blush.  You can have some input on this too, should you get a kiss for that?”

“Ohdeargodpleaseyes.”

“Since you asked so nicely...”

Another kiss.

“Hngg, Blaine.”

“For that... you get one here.”

Blaine leans down and kisses just below Kurt’s ear.

Kurt gasps softly and closes his eyes.

“You.... smell so good.”

“So do you.”

Blaine kisses along Kurt’s jaw, veering a little and then kissing him on the lips again, for good measure.  Between each kiss he mumbles.

“You should... come back... to my apartment... with me...”

Kurt is barely coherent at this point, his eyes closed and his breathing uneven.

“Kay...”

“You get a kiss for that.”

He kisses Kurt again on the lips, the hand that’s resting on the other’s back, clutching at the fabric of Kurt’s jacket in an attempt to pull himself closer.

Kurt gladly allows him to be pulled closer, shimmying himself as close as he can get.  He puts his arms around Blaine’s neck for good measure, pulling away only slightly.

“You take... my breath away.”

“Part of my life goal.”

“Let’s... go.  Too cold.”

“If you insist.”

Blaine kisses Kurt again, standing while doing so, and making every attempt to pull Kurt with him.

Kurt allows Blaine to pull him up, clinging to him for support.

“You’ve been doing a lot of that this evening, holding me up.”

“I think I could do it forever, actually.  Or at least as long as you need me to.”

Kurt smiles and kisses Blaine.

“I like to hear that.”

Blaine returns Kurt’s kiss, making sure not to let go of him.

“What else do you like?”

“Hearing you say my name.  Getting texts from you.”

“Well, I can do one of those right now, Kurt.”

“Do it again.”

Blaine smirks up at Kurt.

“As you wish... Kurt.”

“Take me home now.”

Cheeks flushed, Blaine turns on his heel and squeezes Kurt’s hand to pull him along.  He flags down a taxi and gives the driver his address as he gets in, then whispering to Kurt.

“You know what would be fun?”

“What?”

Casting a glance at the driver’s mirror, Blaine leans over to Kurt and kisses the same spot below his ear again, his hand happening to land on Kurt’s knee.

Kurt’s breath hitches.

Blaine smiles and kisses down Kurt’s jaw and leaving one last kiss on his neck before moving back over to his side of the seat.

“That.”

“Not fair...”

“Why’s it not fair?”

“You keep doing that to me and making me too happy to do anything myself.”

“I can stop doing that.  I mean, if you want.”

“Please don’t.”

“I don’t know.  I mean, I want everything to be fair.”

“I’ll get you back.  And you won’t know when.”

“I like a challenge.  Challenge me, Kurt.”

“Try to figure out when I’ll get you back for all of this.”

“Well, it really depends on what all of this means.  I am either in for a real treat, or some sort of disaster that will later be named Hurricane Kurt.”

“You’re not actually nervous about this, are you?”

“I’m not sure what I am.”

“You’re a human gay male.”

“Oh!  That clears a lot of things up then.  Like, how I just can’t stop myself from doing things like this.”

Blaine turns toward Kurt again, nuzzling into Kurt’s neck and planting soft kisses.

“You are so getting this from me.  And you won’t know when I’m going to do it.”

“I like that you’re keeping me on my toes.”

The cab pulls to a halt and Blaine sits up, pulling his wallet from his pocket and paying the driver before practically pushing Kurt from the back seat in his anxious attempt to hurry Kurt out of the cold.

Kurt, finding it incredibly adorable that Blaine’s rushing them in, lets himself be practically pushed inside.

“Slow down, there.”

“Sorry, I don’t want you to freeze to death.  I’ll never get that payback you were talking about.”

“I guess you’re forgiven.  After all, I do desperately need to give you a taste of your own medicine.”

“You know, I don’t know if it’s going to work on me.  I’m pretty strong-willed.”

“Really now?  That’s more incentive.”

“We’ll just have to see.  I mean, I’m pretty sure it’s not going to work.”

Blaine unlocks the door to his apartment and pushes it open so that Kurt can go in.

Kurt steps into Blaine’s apartment and grins.

“We will most definitely see.”

Stepping inside, Blaine turns, closing and locking the door before taking off his coat, then his scarf and gloves.

“Kurt.”

“Cuddle with me on the couch, Blaine.”

“As you wish.”

Walking around the couch, Blaine raises his eyebrows at Kurt before he sits down, almost obediently.

Kurt comes to sit on the couch beside Blaine and curls up, placing his head on Blaine’s chest.

Blaine makes room for Kurt, opening his arms while he cuddles up, then wrapping one arm around Kurt, his other hand searching for Kurt’s hand.  He lets out a sigh and starts to try and relax, though his heart is slamming in his chest.

Kurt sighs contently and cuddles, first wrapping both arms around Blaine’s torso, then moving one so he can hold Blaine’s hand.  Smirking, he tilts his head up and kisses underneath Blaine’s chin.

Blaine’s fingers entwine themselves with Kurt’s, and he closes his eyes, content.  Kurt’s kiss sends a smile to his lips, and the fingers that aren’t tangled with Kurt’s make circles on the other’s side.

Kurt shivers at the sensation and considers.  Making his decision, he starts planting small kisses along Blaine’s jawline.

Blaine sucks in a long, slow breath of air, holds it for a second and lets it out.

“You think you’re gonna get me...”

Kurt smirks and moves his free hand to brush his knuckles against Blaine’s cheeks, all the while kissing along his jawline and underneath his chin.

Blaine turns into Kurt’s hand, kissing his knuckles softly.  His free hand traces a line up Kurt’s back and stops at his shoulder before heading back down again.

“Not... fair...”

“So fair...”

“Stop it.  This is about you.”

Blaine smirks, flattening his hand and willing himself not to compete with whatever it is Kurt is planning.”

“Mkay.”

Kurt grins and resumes kissing, delving down to Blaine’s collarbone.

Blaine attempts to contain himself, but a very obvious, and sharp, intake of breath can be heard, and he swallows hard.

Hearing the breath, Kurt smirks and stays where he is, kissing Blaine’s collarbone extensively.

Blaine’s breathing becomes shallow.

“You’re... not.. gonna.. win....”

“I... think... I... have...”

Kurt kisses between every word, running his free hand through Blaine’s hair.

Aware that he’s losing, Blaine gives in, his hand, previously resting on Kurt’s back, now clutching at the fabric of Kurt’s shirt.

“Told you.”

“Not fair.”

“So fair.”

“Kryptonite.”
