When Kurt arrives at Blaine’s apartment, he pushes open the door and peeks in.  It takes him a moment to spy Blaine sitting on the floor against the wall near the window.  With a jolt, he realizes that Blaine hasn’t changed since their fight.  As he walks in further, he notices snowflakes across the floor as well as a pair of boxing gloves and empty alcohol bottles.

“... Blaine?”

Blaine is staring at a snowflake on the floor in front of him.  He’s concentrating so hard that he doesn’t notice the door open, or anyone come in.  He’s drunk enough that he doesn’t start when he hears his name, and instead, slowly looks up, trying to focus together the blurred person.  He takes a swig of his SoCo, which is nearly empty, and squints.

“Wes?”

“What the hell, Blaine?  Did you just seriously call me by your ex boyfriend’s name?”

Realizing that it’s Kurt, Blaine laughs at himself, offering the hugest, goofiest smile he’s ever smiled.  He points, his arm straight out in front of him.

“Hey, now we’re even!”

“What... are you talking about?”

“I, you, the other day, you called me Sebbie, remember? I do. And then, I just called you Wes!  Kurt, it’s funny!”

“I-it’s not funny, Blaine.  You’re drunk.  You need to stop drinking that.”

Kurt walks forward and bends down to take the bottle away from Blaine.

It doesn’t register in Blaine’s head what Kurt’s saying, until Kurt is taking the bottle away from him.  He watches it slide from his fingers, and looks up, trying to focus on Kurt’s face.

“Kurt, it is funny.  Soooo funny.  You know, an...ironic funny, like, cause the same thing happened to me that happened to you that happened to me, and it’s hilarious!”

“Shut up.  It’s not funny.  How much have you had to drink?”

“I don’t know.  I didn’t go anywhere today.  Or yesterday.  It was light outside.  But who cares?  It doesn’t matter. It’s not like I have to be anywhere or anything.”

“... you were obviously expecting... someone else.  Maybe I should just go.”

“No, nonononono.. no, Kurt.”

Blaine leans over and sits on his knees now, shaking his head at Kurt, and waving his hands around in a panic.

“Kurt, don’t leave.  No one else is coming.”

“You called me Wes, Blaine.  And quite frankly, if he’s on his way, then I don’t want to be here.”

“He’s not, he’s not, he’s not.  I’m sorry Kurt.  He’s not.  Don’t leave.”

Kurt doesn’t listen and instead turns around, walking back to the door.

“No, no Kurt, no, no nonono, no.”

Blaine starts crawling and picks himself up by the coffee table.  He stumbles and holds himself up by leaning on the sofa.

“Kurt, don’t, don’t leave.  I … I can’t lose you.  Don’t.”

“What’s the point?  I can’t deal with you when you’re this drunk, Blaine.”

“I don’t want you to go away.  I don’t, can’t think about it.  Just stay.  Stay, please?”

He reaches his hand out toward Kurt, a pleading look in his eyes as they fill with tears.

Kurt sighs and turns around, staring at Blaine.

“Why?”

“You, I won’t abandon you. Don’t, please don’t abandon me.  Kurt please.”

“I won’t abandon you.  I just... I don’t want to be here if you’re drunk.”

“I don’t want to be alone. Don’t leave.”

Blaine sits down on the edge of the couch, clearly not doing well.

“Fine.  Just... stay away from me until you’re sober.”

“Kay, okay. Okay.  I’m going to sit here now.  Kurt, will you sit with me?”

Sliding down on to the actual cushion of the sofa, he looks back to Kurt.

“But I just said... fine.”

Kurt walks back over to the sofa and sits down as far away from Blaine while still sitting on the sofa as possible.

“Thank you, a lot.  Kurt?”

“Yes?”

Blaine leans his head back on the back of the sofa, his face turned toward Kurt, but with his eyes closed.  His speech is slowed way down.

“You need to know, that I love you.  I do, I really do.  So... huge.  Like, more than anything.  More than anyone... has ever loved... anyone.  Ever.  I love you.  Kurt.”

“D-don’t say th-that right now.  Please.  I don’t know how much of this is just the alcohol.”

“It’s not... the al...cohol... Kurt.  I really do love you... I’m never...gonna... stop.  I promise.  You can’t... change my... mind.  Kurt... Don’t...”

Blaine passes out before he finishes what he is saying to Kurt, having meant all of it, despite the fact that he is more drunk now than he’s ever been in his entire life.

“Oh my... oh my god, Blaine!”

Kurt can only stare blankly for a moment before he rushes over to Blaine’s side and kneels by him, so frantic he doesn’t remember what to do.
