Kurt, do you still hate me? (unsent)

Did you see the new Twilight movie? (unsent)

How are you? (unsent)

Hi.

Um, who is this?

You deleted me. (unsent)

I’m just somebody that you used to know. (unsent)

Blaine. (unsent)

I don’t know if I should tell you.

Oh, great, I have a text stalker

What do you want?

Woah.  What happened to you that you’re so bitter?

The last time I opened up to someone I didn’t know it didn’t end well

What happened?

I got too attached and ended up breaking up with my boyfriend.

If you don’t mind, I’m going to delete these messages and get on with my life now

Okay.  Sorry to have bothered you.  I hope your day/week/month/year gets better.  Also, be careful.  It’s supposed to snow tonight.  Bye!

Yuck, I hate snow

Aww, why?

Because it’s cold and wet and just eugh

I like it.  It’s beautiful, especially when it sticks to the trees and lights, and it’s like you’re in a snowglobe.

I’m doing it again.  I must be a maniac for letting this happen to me again

Well, then we’re both maniacs.

I am not starting another Maniac’s Anonymous club

I think that The Grasshopper Brigade is a better club name.

Oh my god.  Blaine?

Guilty.

Why didn’t you say it was you?

Would you have talked to me?

I don’t know

...I guess I’ll see you around.

Don’t go

Okay.  I won’t.

I don’t blame you

Why?

Because I could have stopped at any time.  But I didn’t

Don’t blame yourself.

I’m not

Well, you have to blame somebody.

I blame Wes and Sebastian for things getting out of hand.  I blame Rachel for not talking me out of it.  But I don’t blame you or I

I miss you. (unsent)

I guess I can see that.

I’m really confused about everything.  But I want to make it all work out

I’m not sure there’s anything left to work out. (unsent)

Yeah.

I missed you, Blaine

Don’t tell me that.

Why not?

Because I only just started eating again yesterday. (unsent)

I’m afraid.

Afraid of what?

Everything.

What do you mean?

[silence]

If you don’t want to talk, then fine (unsent)

Blaine

I’m afraid of losing you again. (unsent)

Sorry.  Cold hands.  Park.

Anyway, it’s complicated.

Why?

Do you want the real answer, or the answer that sounds good?

One second

Kurt dials Blaine’s number and holds his phone up to his ear

*Incoming Call*

Blaine is staring at his phone when the screen lights up with Kurt’s name.  His stomach gives a lurch and he listens to Kalamazoo for another couple of seconds before answering.

~“...Hello?”~

~”Hi Blaine.  The real answer would be nice.”~

~”I think you just want to hear me suffering through it.”~

~”I want it to feel more genuine.”~

~”Well, at least it’s not really in person.  Just kind of.”~

~”Stop it.  Just answer the question.”~

~”Ohkay... See... I’m.. I’m afraid to try and work this all out... Because... I don’t think I can handle... l-losing you... again...”~

~”I see...”~

~”OhgodI... I shouldn’t have said that.”~

There is an audible groan from Blaine’s side of the phone, even though it’s obvious that he moved the phone away from his face.

Rachel’s chattering can be heard in the background.

~”Rach, I’m on the phone.  Okay.  Yeah.  Thanks.  Sorry about that.  No, it’s... it’s okay.  There’s obviously something here.  I just... it’s hard to figure out what it is...”~

~”I... yeah.  I guess it is...”~

~”That night in the park.  We kissed.  What does that mean?”~

~”Everything.  I mean... um....”~

~”...Yes?”~

~”Kurt... That kiss.  It meant... It means everything to me.”~

~”I see... it, ah, wow.  Um.  I don’t know what to say.”~

~”Nevermind.  I’m so full of word vomit.”~

~”No, it’s okay.”~

~”Is that Blaine you’re talking to?  HI BLAINE!”~

~”... Rachel says hi.”~

~”Oh, hi Rachel.”~

~”Blaine says hi.  Now leave us alone.  Thanks.  Sorry about that.”~

~”It’s okay...”~

~”Like I was saying, it’s okay.  actuallyit’skindacute...”~

~”..... What?”~

~”Um, nothing.”~

~”Oh.  It’s so cold out here.  I should have brought gloves or something.”~

An audible chatter can be heard through the line but only for a second.

~”You’re outside?  What was that?”~

~”I’ve been outside for a long time now.  It’s better than sitting inside by myself for another day.”~

~”Okay, what does that mean?”~

~”What do you mean, what does that mean?  Sitting around alone sucks.”~

~”You and Wes...”~

~”Wes broke up with me.  Moved out.”~

~”Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.”~

~”Oh, yeah.  Thanks.  It was the same day...”~

~”Oh...”~

~”...Anyway... I guess... I’ll let you go.  You know, I’ve uh, I’ve got ...stu-something to do.  And whatever.  So... yeah.”~

~”O-okay.  I’ve got your number programmed in again.  D-don’t be a stranger anymore.”~

~”Yeah, sure.  I’ll uh, talk to you later.  And stuff.”~

~”Yeah, talk to you later.  And stuff.”~

Kurt hangs up and stares at his phone for a moment.

I missed you

*headdesk* These too are so obliviously and frustraitingly adorable.

We agree wholehartedly. And obviously. xD

This was so good. I am so glad that they are talking again and I find Rachel to be really awesome. I like that she is willing to be there for both Kurt and Blaine. I am looking forward to seeing who contacts who first and if they make any progress on what they have between them.

We're glad you're enjoying it! You'll just have to wait and see :P
