Blaine had woken up so many times in complete agony that every time just before losing consciousness he wished he was just dead. Everything was loud and bright and painful for the few seconds he was awake. He didnt even know who he was. Every time the pain made him scream out, cloud descended upon his mind and he tumbled back into darkness. Every time he was awake a little longer. The pain ebbed away slowly and only slightly, only until he could remember his own name and actually see when he opened his eyes.

He wished he couldnt when he turned his head and saw Kurt crying, clutching his hand. "Ku-urt." He said and it hurt, speaking felt like he had swallowed rusty nails and he was trying to bring them back up. "Shh K-Kurt. Sokay." He manoeuvred his hand out of his grasp and reached up to brush his hair from his forehead but his eyes fell to the angry black burns on his wrist. A phantom pang of sharp pain shot through him and he gasped, body convulsing once against the cot he was laying on. Kurts hands hovered over him not knowing whether to touch him in case he accidentally just hurt him more. Blaine groaned but eventually relaxed, breathing through the ache flooding his body.

"What happened?" He asked voice hoarse and quiet. Kurt handed him some water to drink and his throat was soothed just a little. "You were uh- Rudianos um captured you." Kurt replied eyes welling with tears again and Blaine just nodded once, suddenly the very fact that he was alive seemed like a miracle. He started to shake a little as he began to remember, the movement disturbing already healing wounds and bruises. The scenes were hazy but the phantom numbness of being compelled, the faint echo of commanding words filling his head washed over him. When he came back to himself, Kurts hand was stroking through his matted hair and he could feel his face damp with tears.

"Where is he now?" Blaine asked and Kurt shook his head.

"I-I dont know." He stuttered. "He said hed be back though t-to to-"

"Alright." Blaine cut him off. "Okay." He slowly hauled himself into an upright position, swinging his legs over the side of the cot. "Blaine wha- what are you doing you have to stay still youre still healing?"

"No Ive got to-" Blaine broke off gasping for breath as a particularly hard twist of his torso made pain throb all along his right side "Ive got to go find him, and Malik. Ive got to finish this."

"This isnt just your fight Blaine. You cant do this alone. Look at you!" Kurt said distraught gesturing to Blaines right wing that still didnt sit right as well as the thick rings of burns marking his neck, wrists and ankles. Blaine couldnt see the majority of the damage the warlocks had undoubtedly caused him but it didnt matter much to him then. "Im not going to. Well do it together if you want to, I just cant sit here and do nothing." Blaine replied holding Kurts hand in his.

"I didnt expect you to-"

"Then what did you expect Kurt?" He implored.

"I dont know okay!" Kurt shouted. "All I know is that you were-" he inhaled sharply and clenched his eyes shut tight. "All I could do was watch Blaine. All I could do was watch and eventually when I got myself together enough to cleanse the chain you just stopped moving. I thought- I thought you were-"

Blaine gathered him up into his arms as best he could, being mindful of his injuries knowing that if he hurt himself Kurt would lose it completely, still silently shaking in his tentative hold. "Shh Im not, Im here, and Im okay." He said softly, strong hands petting through his limp hair. "This has to end though. Tonight. This was my home Kurt. Id forgotten. I was so young when we were taken away from here. I dont know why Cooper or Cerridwen or Aine didnt tell me, maybe they thought it would hurt too much. I - we belonged to this clan originally, after the attack survivors must have resettled. I knew as soon as we entered that clearing." Kurts hiccupping quieted a little. "Thats why Liber and Mania were so rude to you; you and Cooper are the true heirs to the clan."

"Well just Cooper," Blaine said with a small smile "hes still the oldest.  They probably just didnt like me by extension. I doubt hed decide to take over from Mania anyway. Hes made a happy life for himself in the caves and she does a good job despite how jealous and callous she can be." He laughed lightly, pulling Kurt a little closer.

"I feel like it needs to end here though, this war. I dont want to go through this ever again. I dont want us to go through this."

"Okay." Kurt mumbled.

"Okay?"

"Well find Rudianos. Well end this."

"Kurt..."

"Ill follow you to the ends of the earth."
