A/N: I know you wanted more sexy times, I wanted more sexy times but my writer brain wouldnt allow it. Patience, their time will come (literally).

As Kurt stood, shirtless at the edge of the lagoon Blaine started to regret being so brazen in his request. He didnt know if Kurt had a mate, and so far as he knew Kurt only considered him a friend. Blaine had gotten carried away; Cooper and Gaëls teasing had encouraged him. "I-I mean if you want you dont have to." He stuttered out trying desperately to keep from staring at Kurts pale and toned torso. Kurt laughed and Blaines cheeks flushed red. "Of course Ill join you silly." Kurt said teasingly. He reached for the button on his pants and Blaine turned away, as fast as he could whilst he floated. He didnt turn around until he heard the tell tale splash of Kurt diving into the clear water. Kurt grinned and Blaine bit his lip at the sound. "It makes a nice change from a few splashes in the face and sleeping on the ground." Blaine commented casually as Kurt moved a little closer. Smiling, he pushed his damp hair from his forehead. "You mean its a nice change from being gross." He said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

"Youre never gross." Blaine rushed out earnestly.

"Youre very sweet." Kurt replied, smiling softly at him. Blaine had to force himself to ignore the butterflies in his stomach. Kurt was a mortal and as soon as hed saved his village hed want to return home, be with his dad and his loved ones. It was foolish to give in to his growing feelings despite his sneaking suspicions that said feelings had been growing for Kurt since they were eight years old. He was teased relentlessly after Cooper found out that Blaine had stolen from the hoard to give Kurt gems. Giving someone gems from the hoard is a sign that you want to share everything with that person, a sign of affection and romantic intent. How he had known then, Blaine had no idea but Kurt was how Gaël put it, special to him.

Kurt was special alright; Blaine had to force himself to keep his eyes strictly above the waist. He shrugged all while trying to keep a respectable distance between them. "Sooo," he started, changing the subject "how did it go with Malik?"

"Fine, someone from my village stole from the hoard, weve gotta return the gems and that should lift the curse." Kurt said nonchalantly, as if it would be the easiest task in the world to find the thief and bring them to justice. "Hmmm," Blaine hummed drifting lazily in the water "thats a lot less difficult a solution than Elder Cerridwen led me to believe." He gazed up at the orange sky wondering how and why she had originally forbade him from accompanying Kurt, and why she had implied that the solution to Kurts problems would be a dangerous and difficult one.

"I guess," Kurt said nervously "but theres something else." The sound of Kurts voice so quiet and unsure made Blaine drop his gaze, moving closer in concern. "I spoke to Skylar."

"And?" Blaine urged, reaching for Kurts hand under the water.

"She told me something, something about myself. Promise not to freak out?" Blaine nodded seriously. "Im part fae on my mothers side." After a few prolonged moments of silence Kurt felt Blaines rough, hot hands brush his waist. Blaines eyes were bright, his mouth curving into a smile. Kurt squealed as Blaine lifted him into his arms. "KURT! Oh my- THATS AMAZING!" Blaine yelled, laughing and Kurt laughed with him, arms curling around Blaines shoulders. After a while Kurt begged Blaine to put him down but Blaine still held him close, their foreheads pressed together. "Is it?" Kurt asked his grin wide and his eyes drifting to stare at Blaines lips. "Of course. Were going to save your village and youve learnt something magical about yourself. Youve been telling me about how much you want to learn and discover and experience so this is perfect. Im so happy for you." Blaine was breathless by the time he had finished speaking and Kurt paused overwhelmed, warm in Blaines strong arms.

"Im glad I have you, Blaine." Kurt said softly and he delighted in the blush that appeared on his cheeks. Blaine closed his eyes, a constant mantra of ‘of course, you have me; Im yours surging through him to the tip of his tongue. Opening them again was like seeing everything brand new and glistening. They were close, so close and before he could force himself to stop he reached a hand up and cradled Kurts jaw. Good heavens he was beautiful, so beautiful that the wound in his heart, left gaping from years of loneliness ached with it. His eyes so blue, reflecting the water around them, alight with excitement and happiness. Blaine would never get enough; never look away if he didnt have to. Never had he been so intimately aware of another person, Kurts skin smooth beneath his fingertips. He drank him in, eyes roving, ravenous starving and just looking at the man in front of him would never be enough never. When Kurts lips parted slightly he closed his eyes and leant in, catching them in a kiss, all consuming, the heat crawling up his spine, settling in his chest. A gasp, Kurts soft whimper and Blaine felt as if he were drowning despite being above the water. He could taste droplets of it from his bottom lip, suckling on it until Kurt arched into him, beautiful supple body bending gracefully toward him.

Blaine almost couldnt breathe with it, he couldnt hear anything but the sound of crashing water and the sound of his own desperate whine as Kurt kissed him back, gentle but hungry. His body registered before his mind did that they were flush together, he was pressed deliciously back against the rock. He couldnt comprehend how one could be so numb yet so excruciatingly aware of every touch. It was as if his thoughts had paralysed him, the idea that Kurt might have someone else, that this wasnt what Blaine had hoped it was. Kurts hands were at his torso, clutching at his hip and waist beneath the water and Blaine wondered how he could even bear to touch, knowing for sure that if he himself felt hot then to Kurt his skin must almost be scorching. Before he could panic, Kurt tore away from his mouth, and Blaine barely had time to mourn the loss of his tongue before he felt it against his neck trailing along the sensitive scales that adorned it just beneath his ear. He groaned, loud enough that had he been more in control he wouldve been embarrassed but Kurt had found the tendon at the base of his throat that had his hands scrabbling across his shoulder blades, disturbing the water with a frantic splash. He was just about to beg, the plea rising from him until it was cut off by the faintest hint of teeth against his collarbone.

Blaine threw his head back forgetting the rock behind him. "Oww fuck." He half whined and Kurts head shot up, his worried azure eyes scanning him for signs of harm. Blaine couldnt concentrate on the pain for very long, the sight of Kurt, hair mussed and lips a full, cherry red a very welcome distraction. "Sorry, sorry." He mumbled, his right hand coming up to rub the back of Blaines head, rubbing at his crown and playing with the wayward curls there, his other hand still clutching his hip. Blaine shook his head and smiled shakily. "I never noticed your scales before." He said musingly; thumb brushing across the ones on Blaines hips. Blaine shuddered under the touch and when he spoke his voice was higher, breathier. "They blend in with my complexion; theyre hard to see unless-"

"Unless you know where to look" Kurt cut him off with a devilish grin and Blaine couldnt help but grin back. Kurt pressed against his hipbone with his thumb and Blaine hissed, jerking into him. "Dont," he muttered, eyes downcast, embarrassed by his involuntary reaction. "Theyre sensitive."

"I know." Kurt continued to smile at him. The hand that had been playing with his curls had moved, trailing from the scales on Blaines temples to the ones across his clavicle, and his eyes followed fascinated as Blaine shuddered again with a barely restrained whine. "Okay okay" Kurt said moving back a little and giving Blaine some space.

"So..." Blaine began once he had caught his breath, looking anywhere but at Kurt.

"That was... nice." Kurt replied awkwardly.

"Nice." Blaine agreed and he wanted to slink away and hide under a rock somewhere. His heart began to sink and he wanted to curl in on himself, feeling too much too fast. He felt exposed, vulnerable, and worst of all lonely. He attempted to clear his throat but when he spoke again, wading away through the water and toward the steps that lead out of the lagoon his voice wavered. "Yeah well Im sure you must be missing your m-mate back home, its only natural to-" Blaine stopped when he felt Kurts hand circle his wrist and pull him back. "Stop." He said firmly, lifting Blaines chin to make him look at him. He could tell that Blaine was clenching his jaw trying desperately to appear strong and unaffected but his eyes and his trembling betrayed him. "I dont have a mate or whatever, I tried to tell you at the caves but you kinda just ran away."

"S-sorry" Blaine replied quietly and he tried to pull himself away but Kurt just pulled him back again.

"I think I found a potential candidate though." Kurt added a smile in his voice.

"Thats nice." Blaine said monotonously and Kurt grit his teeth frustrated. "Who is it?"

Kurt huffed out a laugh but stopped abruptly when Blaine flinched at the sound. "For fuck sake Blaine for a dragon you are exceptionally dense!" He cried.

"Well Im sorry if Im not in the mood to play guessing games Kurt! It could be anyone. Anyone who wouldnt want to be your mate is a fool and so am I for hoping that it could possibly be me." Kurt was so shocked by Blaines outburst that he darent even open his mouth. With a loud crash Blaine had taken off and landed roughly at the edge of the lagoon. In an instant he had pulled on his clothes and then disappeared, in a whirlwind of smoke and fire.
