Kurt and Rachel were thrilled. Why? They were holding open auditions for Cats the musical at the community theatre. Blaine decided to go along, needing something to do for the next couple weeks. Rachel had somehow convinced some of the glee club members to audition, too. All but Finn, Puck, Sam, Lauren, Artie, and Mercedes were going. The guys and Lauren were mostly because they couldn't dance or weren't into it, and Mercedes was going on vacation with her family. Nick, Jeff, Wes, and David were also trying out.

It was the day of auditions, and everybody managed to be on time. They all auditioned, and the director must have been desperate because they all got in. They looked at the sheet eagerly to see which roles they got.

The group looked at the list, all very happy to see their names, although majority of the group had no clue what Cats even was.

"Okay, so now that I've gotten in, who's Bombalurina?" Santana asked, not able to hide the little bit of excitement.

"She's a super sexy cat that gets to sing a song with Demeter. So Santana, you get to sing a song with Tina." Kurt said, still shocked that he got one of the lead dancing roles.

"Kurt, I'm jealous. Calling girls sexy. And a cat, at that." Blaine said teasingly, smiling at Kurt and snaking his arms around him from behind. "Congratulations, Misto." He whispered in Kurt's ear. Kurt turned around and placed his hands gently on Blaine's neck.

"Bombalurina might be sexy, But Tugger is sexier. Way sexier. And I'm sorry if my little phase of beastiality upsets you. Congrats, Rum Tum Tugger." Kurt smiled. Blaine leaned in and kissed him full on the mouth, in front of everyone.

The next few weeks were full of rehearsals, everybody trying to get their voices perfectly in tune with each other's. People who had next to no singing parts, like Kurt, Mike, and Brittany, worked together on their solo parts. Mike was teaching Kurt how to do multiple spins at once without getting dizzy. Before Mike's lessons, Kurt could do three in a row. As of now, he could do almost the necessary amount that he needed for his role. Kurt helped Mike out by letting him pick him up in all the necessary ways he needed for his character. Mike was glad that everybody he had to pick up were fairly small people.

Brittany practiced doing the splits without using her hands, as well as getting her leg to stay up in the air without using her hand. She didn't need much practice, seeing as she could already do the splits without her hands, and wasn't far off with her leg, if she stretched a lot.

As fun as rehearsals were, they were exhausting. They also prevented Kurt and Blaine from spending time together. So one night, when rehearsals let out early, they took advantage of it.

They lay on one of those almost- plastic picnic blankets in Blaine's large backyard, a quilt rested on top of them. They lay close together, Kurt's head on Blaine's chest, Blaine's left hand intertwined with Kurt's right.

"If rehearsals weren't so god damn fun, I would complain about how tired I am. If I wasn't so tired, I would complement the stars." Kurt said, a huge yawn taking over afterwards and snuggling closer to Blaine, closing his eyes.

"You're adorable when you're tired," Blaine said, stroking Kurt's soft hair.
"I'm adorable all of the time." Kurt stated, slowly slipping into sleep.

"Hey, before you fall asleep we should go inside. In case it rains or something." Blaine squeezed Kurt's hand.

"M'kay." Kurt tiredly pushed himself up, leaning into Blaine all the way up to his bedroom where both of them collapsed on Blaine's bed, fully clothed, and fell asleep.
