It was senior year. Everything was supposed to go flawlessly. Karofsky was at a new school. Even though the number of kids in Glee wasn't ideal, I was confident that we would win Nationals, and then I would get away. Fly off to New York, go to school at one of the most prestigious musical theatre schools by day, running back and forth to auditions by night, all while sharing a small apartment with Rachel, and maybe even Finn.

Never once did I think of what would happen if something went wrong, if somehow, something didn't work out. I, Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, had no back up plan. There were no other options.

I had big dreams. I had good grades. I had great friends who were all as equally, and, in Rachel's case, possibly more ambitious than me.

Don't be fooled. I still have those friends. Friends and family were the two things that I made room in my plan to fit.

I had everything planned out, everything except for one small, yet extremely large detail: falling in love.
