Kurt turned the corner and walked into the bathroom. Flicking on the light, he leaned against the side of the door. "Bathroom," he said sternly. He watched as Blaine observed the room, unable to not catch a look at Blaine's ass as he leaned towards the room. Quickly, he caught himself and shook his head to get himself back to normal.
"Small," noted Blaine, "But definitely doable." He looked back towards Kurt and winked.
Kurt rolled his eyes and patted Blaine on the back, signaling to continue down the hall. "Keep moving, Anderson" he said. He looked back to see Rachel with her hands behind her back following them slowly. "Say something," he mouthed to her.
"Um," shakily said Rachel as she ran past Kurt to catch up to Blaine, "This half of the curtain is my room, and that side is Kurt's. But I guess if you move in we'll have to cut it into thirds."
Blaine picked at the curtain for a second and turned to face the pair. "Not very private," he said with a grin, "What happens if someone, you know. . . " His voice trailed off.
"We, um," said Rachel, looking towards the ground, "We haven't had that problem yet."
"Well a guy like me has that kind of problem," said Blaine, now looking Kurt in the eye, "A guy like me has that problem, a lot."
Kurt crossed his arms. "You'll just have to go elsewhere," he said. He looked at Rachel and gave her a look.
"You're very forward," said Rachel grabbing her left should and eyeing the ground.
"Take me or leave me," said Blaine, fanning his arms out in the air.
Rachel and Kurt gave each other a silent look. Kurt looked up at Blaine, who was still smiling smugly at him. He drummed his foot on the floor and threw his head back. Sighing loudly, he said "Let's continue". He walked towards the kitchen, stopping once he got to the island in the middle of the room. He swung around and leaned against it, waiting for a comment that he knew was going to come from Blaine.
Blaine walked around the island and explored the kitchen for a minute. He opened drawers, and cupboards, exploring the contents inside. He stopped and said, "It's nice," quietly. Pointing at the kettle, he turned to Rachel. "Still hot?" he asked.
Rachel nodded, "Yes".
Blaine grabbed a green mug from the cupboard and set it on the counter. "Teabags?" He asked.
"Drawer to your left," said Kurt before Rachel got a chance to answer. He pulled out a stool and sat on it, Rachel soon joined him.
Blaine dropped a green tea bag into the mug, and poured the hot water into it. After the tea steeped, he joined Rachel and Kurt at the island and sat down on a stool across from them. "So," he said, nursing the mug, "Shall we talk business?"
Kurt looked Blaine over once, and then straightened himself up. "You're serious," he said inquisitively, "You are actually considering living here." He laughed and turned towards Rachel. "He's crazy," he said, almost cynically.
"I was gonna kick him out," she said defensively, "You're the one that pulled a fast one and gave him a tour!"
"Because you made me," spitted out Kurt.
"Did not," said Rachel, arms crossed, "I just merely suggested you gave him a chance"
"Stupid idea," Kurt said with rolling eyes.
"Guys," Blaine interjected, "Right here."
Both Kurt and Rachel whipped their heads to face Blaine, whose hands were in the air. "Blaine," said Rachel sweetly," Give us a second?"
Blaine stood up off of his stool, and grabbed his coffee mug. "Take as long as you need," he said as he walked back towards the main room.
"Rachel," Kurt snapped as soon as Blaine was fully out of the room, "Is this enough proof that I can't live with him?"
"You haven't even talked to him Kurt!" exclaimed Rachel, "You've actually been really rude."
"Rude?" Kurt said, exasperated, "I can't believe you just said that. I just. Like, Rachel, sometimes." Kurt was lost for words. He, A, couldn't believe that Rachel was calling him of all people rude, and B, that Blaine Anderson was still in his Bushwick apartment.
"Yeah Kurt," said Rachel crossing her arms, "You haven't even given him a chance. He's been nothing but nice to you the entire time he's been here, he's tried to make conversation and you have continuously shut him down. I don't know what else you could want."
"Rachel," said Kurt, standing up from his stool, "You don't know him and...,"
"Neither do you," said Rachel, being a tad judgemental with her voice.
"What?" asked Kurt, clearly shocked.
"You're the one who said you guy's had a one night stand and a one night stand only," said Rachel, explaining, "So how could you possibly know everything about him?"
Kurt was speechless for a second. Rachel didn't understand what Kurt was feeling now. Of course he knew all about Blaine and who he was. How could he not? He was the one that met him and had the experience a year ago, not Rachel. "You're kidding," said Kurt, exhausted, "How could you possibly know anything? I just told you about what happened twenty minutes ago. You're overanalyzing this entire thing."
"No you are," Rachel said, pointing a finger at Kurt, "You are the one that instantly judged him as soon as you even heard his name! You can't even give him a chance Kurt. People change. You can't tell me that you're the same person as you were last year, so who's to say he is the same."
Kurt sighed. He knew that Rachel was right, even though he desperately wanted her to be wrong. He wasn't the same person that he was a year ago. He was more mature, and had a better head on his shoulders. There is no way that he'd have a one night stand in the mindset that he was in right now, and maybe Blaine had changed too. The thing is he just didn't know, and was actually kind of scared to find out. "Yeah," said Kurt, biting his lip.
"Give him a chance," pleaded Rachel, "Actually, talk to him. You need to for your health, or else you're going to go cray-cray on me."
"Oh dear god please don't ever say cray-cray again," said Kurt as he leaned his arms down on the table.
Rachel smiled. "You like it," she teased.
"I should," said Kurt, "I should talk to him, but I don't wanna." He let his head smack down against the wood on the table.
"But you should," said Rachel, leaning down to Kurt's level, "Maybe not exactly for closure, but for an explanation. You know, just throw everything out there."
Kurt's head picked up and he pouted at Rachel. "But it's going to be awkward," he complained, "And you know how great I am at awkwardness."
"Shut up and quit making excuses," Rachel said, playfully pushing his chest, "I'll stay with you if you want. I'll be your wing-girl."
Kurt laughed. "Seriously?" he asked.
"Yup," said Rachel.
Kurt got up and paced for a second. "Okay," he finally agreed, "I'll do it. But only if you stay with me."
Rachel clapped her hands in excitement. "Let's go then," she said, practically dragging him out of the kitchen.
The two walked hand in hand into the main room. Blaine was sitting on the windowsill, looking at the view while sipping his tea. Kurt cleared his throat to get his attention.
Blaine turned and grinned. "They join me again," he said with a smile.
"Yeah," said Kurt nervously, "Have a seat Blaine". He motioned towards the couch that he too was about to take a seat on.
Blaine followed suit and had a seat beside Kurt.
Kurt looked up at Rachel, waiting for her to sit on the chair beside him, but was instead surprised to see that she has grabbed her purse from the coffee table and was almost out the door.
"Okay," she said, rushing to leave the apartment, "For the record, I'm a yes to you Blaine, your future lies in Kurt's hands. I have some errands to run, so I'll be back in a bit. Do hope to see you later."
Kurt gave her a bitch look as she slammed the door and left.
Blaine waved towards the closed door and then slowly turned to face Kurt.
Kurt squirmed in his seat. He was pissed that Rachel had left, and so blatantly. He wasn't surprised though, because Rachel lived for drama and this was drama. He smirked and settled into the couch. Turning his head, he saw Blaine staring back at him. "Damn his jawline," Kurt thought to himself.
"Guess she wanted to give us some privacy," uttered Blaine.
"Yeah," shyly spoke Kurt, "I guess we do have some things to talk abo-". But Kurt couldn't finish his sentence. Instead, he felt a familiar taste on his lips and a pair of warm hands on his face. Widening his eyes, he saw Blaine. Blaine, the man that just a year ago had done this all before. Blaine, the man that he had hated for the past 11 months. Blaine, the man with the great ass. Kurt had a choice to make now, give in to the kiss, or push Blaine off of him. His mind was telling him one thing, but his heart was telling him another. It was his choice now to decide what was right.
"Blaine," Kurt whispered as he backed away from the kiss. Blaine looked up at Kurt with longing eyes. He scratched his head before looking down at the ground. It was then that Kurt caught the Adonis-like profile of Blaine, and sighed deeply.
"Fuck it," muttered Kurt as he grabbed Blaine's neck and pulled him into a deep and hard kiss.
