Author's Notes: The rest of Chapter 14. Just a continuation of their date/ how it ends. Plus a little surprise at the end.
They didn’t kiss again, but they spent the next couple of hours cuddling on Kurt’s bed watching Chicago. There was a 20 minute ordeal of trying to pick between watching RENT and Chicago- the deciding factor being that Blaine didn’t want to cry in front of Kurt again, so they figured Chicago would be the safest bet.

They sat, closely snuggled together, on the satin sheets of Kurt’s bed and sang along with the songs- Kurt being Velma, Blaine being Roxie. Sometime during the first half hour Kurt reached for Blaine’s hand and their fingers remained laced together for the entire movie. Every once in a while Kurt would catch Blaine looking at him, just smiling, and he would squeeze his hand tighter.

They both lost track of time and next thing Blaine knew he had 2 missed calls from his mom, and one incoming call from her.

"Hey, Mom," he said, trying to sound nonchalant about the fact that he had completely forgotten to leave a note when he left.

"Blaine, you need to come home," she said, fairly emotionless.

"Okay, sorry for not letting you know where I was going, I’m just at a friends house-"

“It’s fine hon, just come home,” She said quickly and hung up.

Blaine turned to Kurt, “I gotta go.”

"Booo!" Kurt whined, pushing his bottom lip out, making the perfect puppy-dog
pout.

"No fair, you can’t give me that face! Tomorrow is a school day, mister. And don't you have costumes to make?"

"Fiiiiiiiiiiiine,” Kurt sighed, “Well let's get you home before mommy grounds you!"

"Yeah yeah, well I'm beginning to think you live here alone! Where are are your
parents?"

"Dad will be home right about," Kurt checked his phone's clock, ".........now."

Blaine heard a door close upstairs and the thud of something being set on the ground. A voice soon followed, "Kurt? You home?"

"Downstairs!" Kurt yelled in response. Seconds later Kurt's father was
descending the stairs to the basement. When he spotted Blaine he looked a bit surprised. "Dad you remember Blaine."

"Hello, Mr...." Blaine couldn't remember Kurt's last name and froze with his hand nervously extended to the man.

"You can call me Burt," he smiled and shook Blaine's hand. "You boys go to school together?"

"No," Blaine started.

"Dad remember we ran into Blaine at Dalton?" Kurt finished.

"Right, right! Nice school. So what have you been up to, instead of helping me out at the shop?" He joked, sounding genuinely curious rather than suspicious.

"Blaine was helping me make some costumes for Glee Club," Kurt said and Blaine nodded in agreement.

"Oh god, I hope he didn't make you try them on first. Sometimes he tries to use me for measurements... and let me tell you, I just don't look right in sequins," Burt laughed and Blaine joined him.

"No, no, but he did try to teach me to sew," Blaine said, feelings slightly bad for lying to Burt because he was so nice.

"Kurt, what did I tell you?"

"The way to a man's heart is not through the eye of a needle?" Kurt responded in his best Burt impersonating voice. "Though, I don't really think that makes sense..."

"You get the point! Poor Blaine here would probably rather just watch a movie or something, instead if spending the whole day on a sewing lesson with Paula Dean!"

"Dad, Paula Dean is a chef... Not a fashion designer."

"Whatever!"

Blaine stood there admiring how Burt embraced the way Kurt was, and just accepted him. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen before. Burt seemed to have no problem that Kurt was gay, in fact he seemed very comfortable with it. Blaine wished his father could be that accepting.

"Well I've got to get Blaine home,"

"You're not staying for dinner? But I was going to try to make spaghetti!"

"Oh, I-I'm sorry, My Mom just called and-"

Burt rested a hand on Blaine's shoulder. "I'm just messin’ with ya. But you're welcome to dinner anytime."

“Thank you,” Blaine said sincerely. He had barely just met him, and Burt already made him feel welcome.

"You're not missing out, my dad is a lousy cook," Kurt said from behind Blaine.

"Yeah, well you're a lousy date, making me do all that work!" Blaine responded, winking at Burt who chuckled.

"I like this boy, Kurt."

Kurt urged Blaine forward and he said goodbye to Burt as he was pulled outside to the car. Kurt walked around to the passenger’s side and opened the door for Blaine.

“Seriously? I didn’t pin you to be such a gentleman,” Blaine teased as he leaned into the car to sit down. But Kurt pulled him back out and gently pushed him against the car.

“I can be gentlemanly,” He said, “But really I just wanted to do this.”

Kurt pulled Blaine close by his jacket collar and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. Blaine closed his eyes and parted his mouth, taking in a sharp breath and smelling Kurt’s incredible skin. Kurt cupped Blaine’s chin in his hand and pressed their lips together harder before pulling away. He looked Blaine in the eyes and brought his other hand up to Blaine’s jaw so that he was holding Blaine’s face just inches from his own. Blaine dove back in for another kiss- one that was much more desperate than the first time they kissed. Blaine needed to be as close to Kurt as possible.

Kurt finally broke the moment by smiling and Blaine accidentally kissed his teeth. Kurt laughed and Blaine looked away, slightly embarrassed.

“You have to stop surprising me like that,” Blaine said, out of breath.

“Oh you seemed to handle it just fine! Now lets get you home.”

By the time Blaine got home it was 8:45 and his Mother had propped the door open in anticipation for his return. He quietly closed the door and walked into the kitchen where she was cooking.

Without turning around she spoke, “I’m making tacos, Dad’s not coming home until Wednesday, and there is a visitor for you in your room.”

“What? In my room?” Blaine was shocked.

“Yeah, I just let him go up because you took longer than expected.”

Blaine didn’t bother asking her how long it had been, or even who it was. He ran up the stairs and turned into the first room on the left. The door was already open.

“Hey, Blaine.”

Blaine looked at the boy sitting on his bed and took a step backwards. There was a bag of clothes and a back pack on the floor next to the bed.

After about a minute of silence Blaine spoke.

“Explain...”

End Notes: Looks like there is definitely something starting between our boys
