“So you went on a date with him?” Sebastian was sitting on Blaine’s bed across from him, staring at him with his piercing eyes.
“Not a date, I told you it was just a meeting. It was about you actually.”
“Oh great, so now you’re having secret meetings to talk about me? Do you hear how fucked up that sounds?”
“Seb. No. It wasn’t a secret, I’m telling you right now aren’t I?”
Sebastian grunted in reply.
“He wanted me to ask you to lay off him a little if he transfers. He’s dealing with a lot oh bullying at school right now and he doesn’t want to have to worry about you. I mean you two haven’t really gotten the chance to know each other, maybe you would actually like him.”
“I doubt it.”
Blaine scooted closer to Sebastain and grabbed his hand. “Can you PLEASE not be difficult about this? Don’t you want to be happy? If you’re worrying about him all the time how will you be able to enjoy your time with me?”
“Since when are you responsible for his happiness? Who CARES if he’s getting bullied or whatever.”
“You know what, Sebastian? I know you’re not completely heartless. I may be the only one who believes it, but I do.”
Sebastian grinned widely, letting his teeth show a bit. “And isn’t that why you looooooove me so much?” His face got really close to Blaine’s.
“Sure,” Blaine was barely able to get the word out before Sebastian pounced on him. They spent the rest of the afternoon somewhere between fooling around and making out on Blaine’s bed. That’s how things always ended up with Sebastian. Blaine would try to have a serious talk with him and he would always divert attention by doing or saying something sexual. Some things about Sebastian might never change, and the fact that he had to be in control was one of them.
-Two Days Later-
In coming call- Kurt
“Hello?”
“Thanks for talking to him. Really appreciate it.” The sarcasm was pouring out of the phone’s speaker.
“What are you talking about?”
“Sebastian. Thanks for talking to him.”
Blaine didn’t know how Kurt knew he'd talked to Sebastian, but he really didn’t know why Kurt sounded so angry.
“Well...I told you I would-”
“No. Blaine. I am being sarcastic. I know this wasn’t your fault but you should really learn how to control your fucking boyfriend. Well don’t worry. I’m not going to your stupid school anymore anyways.” Kurt hung up.
“Wh-what? Kurt? What are you talking about? What did he do? KURT!”
Blaine was already on the road to go home but he quickly turned the car around and headed for Sebastian’s house. Whatever Sebastien had done it seemed to really upset Kurt to the point that he decided not to transfer. He drove furiously to Sebastian's house and tried to compose himself before storming up to the door. He knocked impatiently until someone answered. Luckily it was Sebastian.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?” Blaine hadn’t expected that to come out as a yell, but he was apparently angrier than he knew.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Sebastian said, stepping outside and closing the door to his house behind him.
“You know what I’m talking about. Kurt. What did you do to him?”
Sebastian laughed. “OH. That. Damn Blaine you had me scared. I thought it was something serious.”
Blaine just stared at Sebastian. He couldn’t even form words to say, he was so heated.
“I just texted him a few things. Warnings, if you will.”
“You WHAT? How did you even get his number?”
“I stole it off your phone. While you were in the bathroom cooling off after our little make out session the other day.” Sebastian winked, but Blaine was not amused.
“What the fuck did you say to him?” Blaine didn’t curse very often, so Sebastian finally got a sense of how angry he really was.
“Okay calm down. I just said like ‘You better stay away from my boyfriend.’ and ‘If you think you’re just going to join the Warblers then you’re mistaken.” Blah Blah Blah. Nothing serious.”
“There’s more. He wouldn’t have called me if that’s all you said. What did you SAY Sebastian.”
“Alright. I might have said that I’ll be watching his every move at Dalton and if I see you two together alone I will make sure he begs to go back to McKinley.”
“You threatened him? I can’t even fucking believe you. You did exactly what I asked you not to.” Blaine was getting louder and Sebastian actually looked worried for once.
“My god, I can text him and say I was kidding if you want-”
“No. You know what. I know you can be rude and mean, and I put up with that. Probably more than I should. But I didn’t think you could be straight up evil."
“I’m not-” Sebastian tried to grab Blaine’s shoulders because he was pacing back and forth.
“I’m done.” Blaine said suddenly.
Sebastian stopped reaching for Blaine and stiffened up. “What do you mean...”
“I can’t do this anymore, Sebastian. You’ve just gotten worse and worse. And I have tried to convince myself that you’re better than you are... but you just keep proving me wrong.”
“But I told you if you left me for him-”
“YOU DON”T GET IT. I am not leaving you for him, Seb. I am leaving you. Because of you.”
Sebastian snapped. “I thought you fucking loved me for who I am. Or some shit like that.”
“I did. I do. But... I just can’t right now. You don’t treat me like someone you love... you treat me like this piece of property that you own,” Blaine finally said it, the thing that had been on his mind for months.
“I...I can change...” For the first time Blaine saw Sebastian acting desperate.
“No. I don’t think you can.”
“I won’t let you go, Blaine.”
“Yeah well it’s not your choice.”
Blaine tried to leave but Sebastian caught his wrist and pulled him back. He put their foreheads together and spoke softly, “Blaine. I love you.”
Blaine’s chest tightened. He didn’t doubt that Blaine loved him, but knew Sebastian didn't know how to love him. Without thinking he moved his lips up to meet with Sebastian’s and pressed them into a hard kiss. Their chests moved with each other, each of them breathing deeply and frantically. Blaine pulled away from the kiss first and looked into Sebastian’s eyes.
“I’m sorry. I- I don’t know-”
“Shhh-” Sebastian said, kissing Blaine again. A single tear ran down Blaine’s cheek and Sebastian wiped it away.
“I can’t. Okay. Let’s just take a break, Okay? For a while. I need to,” Blaine broke away from Sebastian's grasp and hurried to his car before he could change his mind. When he got in his car he was shaking and crying. He looked over and Sebastian was still just standing outside his door. He pulled out of the driveway and forced himself not to look back again. The whole way home his mind was racing.
Did I really just do that? I should call him and apologize. Maybe he really was sorry and I just overreacted. But what about Kurt? I need to make things right with him.
When Blaine got to his house he immediately ran to his room and laid on his bed for an hour, staring at the ceiling, just thinking about what had happened and what he should do. He typed a text to Kurt:
I’m not with him anymore. Please don’t take anything he said to heart. I want you to go to Dalton. Please.
But before he could send it he fell asleep with his phone still in hand.
