“Um, Hello there... Baby?” The boy said in response, setting his coffee and Vogue magazine down, looking at Blaine quizzically.

“O- oh my gosh I am so sorry. I th-thought you were- from behind you looked kind of look like- now that I think of it... you don’t really,” Blaine stammered, thoroughly embarrassed.

The boy laughed and smiled, he had a very cute smile, Blaine thought. “Quite alright.” He returned to his magazine but Blaine didn’t stand up immediately.

“It’s funny, I’ve never seen you here. And this is kind of our, I mean my, regular table.”

“Oh?” He responded, sipping on his coffee and raising an eyebrow, eyeing Blaine over the rim of the cup. “Are you one of those people who are obsessed with routine and can’t function if something in their schedule changes?”

“N-No! I just, well it’s not a big deal, I was just meeting some-”

“I’m kidding calm down! Would you like me to move? You seem way more emotionally attached to this table than me.”

Just then Blaine saw someone approaching the table. Before he had time to say anything, his boyfriend spoke.

“Um. Hi.”

Blaine stood quickly. “Hi- uh- babe. This is...”

“Kurt. My name’s Kurt.” Kurt extended his hand to the boy beside Blaine who looked at it for a second before loosely shaking it.

“Sebastian. Blaine’s boyfriend.”

“That’s nice. Who’s Blaine?”

“I’m Blaine.” Blaine said, internally cringing at how painfully awkard this situation was. and knowing how Sebastian would react.

“Wait. You two don’t know each other?” Sebastian asked, sharply turning to Blaine, crossing his arms.
He didn’t know why they were still standing there, he had just made a small mistake and now he was dragged into an entire conversation with this [completely adorable, and very sarcastic] stranger.

“Well, not exactly... we-”

“Not exactly?”

“Allow me to explain,” Kurt chimed in, he seemed to be finding something extremely humorous in this situation. “Your boyfriend here, he called me ‘Baby’. It was pretty sweet actually, I can see his appeal. Sadly, I am not his baby. It seems that you are. Lucky for you, he’s pretty freaking cute, I can’t lie.” He looked Sebastian up and down and then took another sip of his coffee.

Blaine’s mouth fell open as he let out a choked gasp. Anyone who knew Sebastian knew not to talk to him like that.

“Excuse me?”

Kurt responded with a simple laugh

“Who the hell are you?”

“I’m Kurt.”

Blaine finally cut in, “And we are leaving.” He grabbed Sebastian’s arm and began pulling him away. Sebastian gave one last scowl to Kurt and then turned, shrugging Blaine’s arm off of his. Blaine looked back one last time as Kurt mouthed ‘Bye, Baby’ to him and giggled to himself.

Although Blaine knew it would take a lot of little kisses to make up for this, and he would probably have to buy Seb’s coffee for him, he was actually glad to see someone stand up to Sebastian. Even if it was a slightly asshole-ish stranger, with beautiful eyes and the sweetest smile, he was getting tired of Sebastian’s attitude. Everywhere they went he would start arguments- with waiters, clerks, he even yelled at a bus driver once for driving recklessly. Besides he couldn’t deny the warm feeling that came over him when Kurt said he was ‘pretty freaking cute’, Seb never said things like that to him.

“Well that was fucking weird. What a little shit, right?” Sebastian said, as they left the Lima Bean. He let go of the door and it hit Blaine’s shoulder as he was dragged outside.

“Yeah,” Blaine said under his breath ,looking at Sebastian who was walking in front of him. “What a little shit.”
