Blaine.
"Blaine come on man it's Friday night! Come out with us! Sitting in this room all night is just going to make you miserable!" Nick pleaded.
"Nah, you guys go ahead, I'm just gunna wait here until Jer gets out of rehearsal."
Nick sighed, "Dude when are you gunna dump that guy? He's and asshole Blaine and he treats you like shit. You deserve so much better." he said, sliding next to Blaine on the bed.
"Jer definitely has his... difficulties. But you guys don't know him like I do. I love him. He's everything to me." Blaine replied, looking at Nick with hopeless eyes, "i-I don't know what I would do without him.. I just.. I.. I love him."
"I know you do dude. It's just hard. Its hard for me, as your best friend, to sit here and watch you night after night look so damn sad because he had another one of his episodes. It's not fair to you."
"Jeremiah has a lot of stress in his life. Between the play, debate club, and his AP courses he is spread pretty thin. I know that, I know how much he has going on. I need to be more careful around him, that's all. I need to be better for him." Blaine stated, digging his nails into his palms and squeezing his eyes tight.
"Hey! Don't even start that! You are so good to that boy! Too good to him! If anything he needs to be better for you!" Nick said, grabbing Blaine's hands.
"No." Blaine shook his head. "No. It's my fault, I need to be better, I need to change, he deserves it, he deserves someone better.."
"Hey Nick! You ready to go?" Jeff exclaimed, popping his head into the room. "Oh hey Blaine! You gunna come tonight?!" Nick looked at Blaine, who just shook his head.
"Oh man, bogus! Well next time for sure right? It's been too long since you've been out with the guys! We miss you!" Jeff said, smiling so much it looked painful, "Nick you ready?" Nick shot a look at Blaine that said we are NOT done talking about this and got off the bed.
When both boys had left Blaine whined, laying on his back and staring at the ceiling. Maybe Nick was right, maybe Blaine did deserve better. He thought back to the first time he ever met Jeremiah.
It was his first day at Dalton, and he was, for lack of a better word, scared shitless. He rushed through the halls, eyes glued to his schedule,
Math, room 153, he read, okay.. that shouldn't be that hard to find.. I just have to... oh shit.. what was that room numbered? 516? How am I supposed to get from room 516 to 153 in 2 minutes?! What am..
Smack! Blaine heard as he ran directly into another boy, causing them both to fall backwards.
"ARE YOU BLIND?!" he heard the boy yell.
"Oh god! Im-Im so sorry! I didn't mean to run into you! I was just looking for room 153! Im new here and incredibly lost! I should have been paying more attention! Oh god Im so sorry!" Blaine said, rushing next to the boy and helping him up.
"Well you should be!" The boy screamed, shooting a look of complete disgust towards Blaine. "What's your name anyways?"
"B-Blaine, Blaine Anderson." Blaine replied quivering, reaching his hand out,
"Jeremiah," the boy stated, shaking Blaine's hand.
"Look I'm really really sorry about all of this!"Blaine started again
"Its fine, you can make it up to me tonight, over dinner. Meet me in the library at 7." Jeremiah said, smiling crookedly and spinning around. Leaving Blaine alone and gaping.
Blaine smiled at the memory, then winced at the time. Jeremiah got out of rehersal a long time ago, but hadn't called Blaine yet. So that's how tonight was gunna go. He sighed, pulled on his converse, and headed out the door, he'd have to be quick if he wanted to make it to the flower shop before Jer went to sleep.
