Kurt.

Kurt crept down the stairs, his heart racing. He hadn't seen his father since the day before; when he had lost it on him in Figgin's office and his guilt was slowing eating away at him. He hadn't meant to to say the things he did. He knew that bringing up his mother's death was a low blow, but he couldn't help himself. Still, as soon as the words left his lips, he wished more than anything that he could take them back. He'd come home, prepared to beg his father to forgive him but Burt Hummel had locked himself in his room. Carole and Finn were both nowhere to be found, so Kurt decided to let his dad cool off for awhile. But now it's the next day, and time to face the music. He took a deep breath and collected his thoughts when he reached the foot of the stairs, before turning into the kitchen.

"Morning!" he said, feigning cheer. He instantly felt the room chill over, Finn looking up from his bowl of cereal with wide eyes. Kurt started sweating, he glanced over at his father, who sat at the dining table, eyes never leaving the newspaper in his hands.

Kurt felt weird, awkward, standing there in his silent kitchen, he was about to excuse himself when Carole finally spoke up, "Good morning sweetheart, would you like me to make you some breakfast or something?" She said, trying her hardest to ease to tension in the room.

Kurt smiled at her, "umm no I'm actually running late, I need to get going to school so.." he started to say when he was caught off by his father.

"Carole, Finn, could you please give me and Kurt a minute." Burt's stern voice filled the room. Finn instantly jumped up, dumped his bowl in the sink, and mumbled a goodbye, giving Kurt a quick pat on the back as he left the house. Carole sent a strained smile towards Kurt and grabbed her purse, leaving the father and son alone. As soon as the door clicked closed behind her Kurt stiffened. He stayed exactly where he was, refusing to meet his father's gaze.

"Have a seat Kurt, we have some things we need to discuss." Burt said carefully, Kurt started moving, sitting in the seat across from his father, still refusing to meet his eyelevel. "Kurt. Im going to make this really simple for you, you will be breaking up with Sebastian today."

Kurt's blood went cold, instantly switching from fear to anger. His head shot up and his eyes bore into his fathers. "The fuck I am." He spat.

Burt's hard stare didn't even flinch; he straightened his back and leaned forward, "Let me make myself more clear Kurt, you have no choice, you are going to break up with Sebastian today. No questions asked."

Kurt shot up in his seat, pointing a finger in Burt's face, "NO dad, I will actually NOT being doing that. You can't control what I do. You can't control who I see."

His father just looked at him, before sighing anfd rubbing his eyes, "I figured this would be your reaction, that's why I made arrangements to ensure that I CAN infact control who you see. Today is your last day at McKinley Kurt. Enjoy it. Cause after today you will never see Sebastian again."

Kurt was actually seething "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS MY LAST DAY AT MCKINLEY!" He screamed.

Burt slid a brochure across the table to his son, Dalton, Boarding School for Boys! Written across the glossy cover. "You start Monday." He said in calm voice.

Kurt sank down into his seat again, the anger melting from his body and tears brimming in his eyes, "Why are you doing this to me." He whispered in a small voice.

Burt sat silently for a minute, looking at his son with a broken heart. How could he let things get so bad for Kurt? How did he let him get so involved in this unhealthy of a relationship? He rose from the table and turned to leave before saying, "I'm doing this for you Kurt." Then he stepped out the door and drove off.
