Blaine.
Blaine could hardly breathe. He paced, rubbing his hands together roughly. He turned to check his hair in the mirror again, not a single strand out of place. Judging by the amount of gel he had put in it that morning, he wouldn't be surprised if it stayed like that for the next week.
"1 minute everyone! Places!" Blaine heard the stage director yell. He sucked in a breath and looked at his phone for what seemed to be the 40th time, still no text from Jeremiah. Blaine only let himself get slightly discouraged before he shook it off. No. he knows how much this means to me. He's here, he has to be. I'm sure he's out in the audience right now, with a cheesy bouquet of roses or something like that. Yeah, he's here. Blaine tried his best to convince himself of the words he knows aren't true. He put his phone back in his pocket and ran onto the dark stage, taking his place in the front. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck perk up as the big red curtain raised and the spotlight flicked to him. He heard his fellow Warblers begin to make their well rehearsed noises, falling together beautifully, Blaine choked down the urge to throw up and took a deep breath, he lifted his head broke into a sweat at the sight of the large crowd. He looked down and saw Jeff and Nick sitting in the front row, grinning like crazy and shooting him thumbs up. He knew it was almost his cue, he knew it was time; he knew this was what he'd been waiting for, and he was freaking out. Just as he was about to run off the stage in fear, a wave of confidence came over him. The crowd didn't seem so big anymore, the judges didn't seem so scary, and the lights didn't seem so bright. Blaine felt comfortable, like this was what he'd been meant to do. He smiled, because he knew right then, that he was going to rock this song.
"You think I'm pretty without any makeup on, you think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong..."
