I accidently wrote part 6 after 5, thinking I was still on the second page, and already started at 6, so I'm just splitting it. Hope you don't mind. Also I forgot to mention how Kurt's magical hair looked in chapter 4. Like that in the 4x01 Choir Room scene, because wow.
Blaine is gay.
Kurt doesn't know how to feel. Parthappy, but also sad. He knows his not-parents won't approve. 'You're gay?' Kurt says. 'Yup.' 'And you go to a public school?' 'Yup.' 'And your, our, I dunno what to use, dad knows?' 'Yup.' 'And he's okay with it?' 'Yup, sound shocking, doesn't it,' Blaine jokes.Yes it does.
They -Kurt, Blaine and Ollie- go back inside. 'Dad?' Blaine says when they enter the living room. 'Yes?' Burt and Devon say. 'I meant Burt,' Blaine says, 'See here; Ollie!' 'C'mere Olliebol!' Kurt says happily. 'Look at this beautiful big boy,' Burt says and stands up to pet Ollie, 'He's a boy, right?' 'Yeah he is,' Kurt answers.
'Oh, Kurt said you guys have a piano,' Blaine says. 'He did?' Devon asks. 'Yes I did,' Kurt says shortly. 'Can I play?' Blaine asks excited. 'Uh, sure,' Celia answers, 'But I think it's not that clean. Your dad hasn't been playing lately.' 'Dad, you play?' Kurt asks his not-dad surprised. 'Yes Kurt,' Devon answers, 'I used to do it when I was in college. I always wanted to do something with music.' Kurt was shocked.
'What stopped you?' Blaine asks. 'Life.' 'I don't think I get it,' Blaine says confused. 'Like I said, son. Life. You can't earn enough money with it. Only when the big ones find you in one of those big cities. I dropped my passion for music for business. And look at me now. You see in what kind of house I live? I'm glad I gave you your love for music, but you won't make it in the real world.' Kurt sees that Blaine looks sad. 'What about Coop?' Kurt asks to his not-dad, 'He's still in the music industry and doing well. And his commercials aren't that huge.' 'Luck. Cooper was just lucky.'
'Aaaaaanyway,' Burt says, 'Boys, we have a plan.' Celia nods. 'Next week, we'll visit Blaine at Lima. And we just happen to know that there's no school at Dalton the Monday after that weekend.' 'So we were suggesting, maybe Kurt could go with Blaine to his school for one day,' Devon finishes. 'But dad, I mad plans with Trent and Wes and-' 'I think this is more important than a stupid day going out with your fellow gay mates-' 'Dad, you know they aren't all-' 'So you can meet new people in a new environment with boys andgirls.'
~~~
'I don't like them.'
'Whatcha say, kid?' Burt says while driving. They're on their way back to Lima. 'I said I don't like them.' 'Who? The Andersons? That's a shame, because Kurt's a-' 'Kurt is nice and all,'and extremely cute, 'But Devon and Celia... my parents.I can't believe I'm related to them, dad. I really don't like them.' 'It looks like they like you.'
'Not for long,' Blaine mutters. 'What you mean?' 'Didn't you see how they acted towards Kurt? Like he isn't their son anymore. And all that about him being gay. I asked him what they thought about it, andapparently, they don't like it.' 'Well, what can we do about it? Taking Kurt with us? Devon and Celia will kill me. They didn't like the school thing for next week either.' 'But they-' That was my idea. I think Devon said that thing about girls so Kurt wouldn't notice he's not okay with it.' 'I feel bad for Kurt,' Blaine says, looking out of the window. 'Me too, boy, me too.'
'Okay, Santana,' Will Schuester says, 'That was incredible!' 'Thank you, mr. Schue. This is the proof that you don't have to let Berry sing everything,' Santana says, but Will simply ignores her. 'Okay then! Blaine, you wanted to say something?' 'Yes mr. Schue, if I may?' 'Of course. The floor is yours.'
'I'm not gonna sing, if that's what you all think.' 'Godbless,' Santana sighs and Tina pokes her. 'What? I'm telling the truth.' 'Santana, we get it,' Will says annoyed, 'Now to Blaine.'
'You know all about the switch by now, isn't it?' Everyone nods. 'Well, my dads and mom had an idea. Kurt is free next Monday, so he's coming with me.' 'He's gonna come with you?' Sugar asks, 'Is he single?' Blaine laughs. 'As far as I know, yes Sugar, he is single but no Sugar, he doesn't like girls.' 'God Fuck Damn!' Sugar curses something more, but no one cares.
'Sorry, Aspergers.'
'Hey boy!' Burt says when he opens the door of his house and he hugs Kurt. Burt's house is really tiny, compared by his not-parents' house. Blaine shows up too and Kurt feels that he's turning red. 'Hey you guys!' he says happy, 'Come in, come in! I know it's not that big, but just come!'
The Hummels are bringing Kurt and his not-parents' stuff upstairs. 'It's so tiny, Devon, I can't believe our son has to grow up here,' Celia whispers, but Kurt can still hear it. 'I know, Cece. But we know what to do,' Devon whispers back, 'We'll get him out of here.'
What?
What did he just say?
And what does he mean?
------------------------------------------------------------
The living room isn't as chic as Kurt's not-parents', but it's cozy, and Kurt thinks that is far more important. They talked hours about school, Cooper, Carole and Finn, who will be Kurt's family if nothing is going to happen, friends, dreams, etc. Dinner was lovely. Burt talked about all the amazing things he and Blaine did. Going to theme parks, or simply to the park. Holidays and birthdays,
and Kurt missed that.
Sure, his not-parents loved him and yeah, they went to theme parks and to all those big cities like NY, but also in Europe, like Paris, Amsterdam, London, Rome and all those. But what Burt is describing sounds so much better.
'Blaine,' Burt says after dinner, 'Would you like to give Kurt a "tour," so he knows where he's staying.' 'Sure, dad.'
The only new thing on the first floor was the toilet, so they went upstairs straight away. 'My dad's room,' Blaine starts, imitating Kurt, 'And extra room, your parents will sleep here, bathroom, and the best one; my room!' Blaine kicks a door with a music notes and it flights open. Kurt sees Blaine's room. It's messy -because he actually stays at his house- but looks comfortable.
'You can come in,' Blaine says. 'Huh, what?' 'You can come in,' Blaine repeats, 'Being gay doesn't mean I'm gonna do weird stuff with you when we're in my room.' Kurt laughs, 'Dork!' he says and enters Blaine's room, 'It would be better if you don't, because I have to sleep here.' 'I never said that.'
Shit.
'But I like the idea.'
------------------------------------------------------------
'Blaine, I need to talk to you,' Kurt says in the evening when he's lying on amattress on Blaine's floor. 'What's up?' 'A warning,' Kurt says, 'I heard my not-parents talking today. They're planning something.' 'About what?' 'About taking you with them.' Blaine doesn't response.
'You know,' he says after fifteen minutes has passed, 'I noticed something.' 'What's it?' 'You keep calling your parents your "not-parents". Why is that?' 'Well,' Kurt sighs, 'Looks like they aren't my parents anymore.' 'But they are!' Blaine says, sounding angry, 'I mean, Burt is also still my dad!' 'Well they're not acting like them,' Kurt says bitter.
