“Hello. My name is Kurt Chalmers and I will be singing ‘Defying Gravity’ from ‘Wicked’.”

“No, you won’t,” Wes smirked. Kurt knew it couldn’t mean anything good.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

“If you want to get in, squeal like a pig,” Blaine said seriously.

Chapter 1

Blaine and his friends – Wes and David – laughed coldly at him.

“As far as we heard you don’t own more than two pairs of jeans and three shirts. Not much to plot,” Blaine smirked and grabbed the notebook from Kurt’s hands. “What do you have here? Are you writing a diary?”

The boy opened a random empty page and mocked Kurt’s voice. “Dear diary, today I peed in bed. It smelled like the barn I used to live in.”

Kurt jumped from his seat and tried to get the notebook back. But David and Wes were quicker and blocked his way. “Give it back to me,” Kurt said trying to stay calm but his voice trembled.

He felt something cold dropping in his stomach once Blaine opened the page where the heart with letters K+B inside, was drawn.

“Oh, how cute. Look here, guys. It’s Kurt plus Blaine,” the boy laughed and Kurt found his way to Blaine once the other two were distracted.

“For your information,” he started snatching the notebook from Blaine’s fingers, “it’s Kurt plus Brittany. And I would appreciate it if you don’t lay your dirty fingers on my property.”

“Awww, baby boy has a girlfriend!” David mocked him.

“Does she even know you exist?” Wes asked grinning.

“I bet she doesn’t,” Blaine giggled.

Kurt knew his face must have been burning red but he tried to keep his head high. No matter how humiliated he felt at that moment. “If you excuse me,” he said showing that he had better manners than any of them, “I have to go.”

“Do you have a date in the bathroom with your hand?” David asked and everyone laughed.

Kurt could still hear them laughing when he turned around the corner.

Coming to a private school was nothing what he hoped for. His dad sent him there for safety. Of course he was safe in a way Burt wanted him to be but from the day one Blaine and his friends chose him as their target number one for some reason. So instead of calm life at school he had to face his tormentors every day. It had been two weeks and things didn’t seem to get better.

The Dalton Academy had a zero-tolerance bullying policy enforced or at least they said so. Teachers and other staff members didn’t know what was happening when students were alone or they simply ignored the facts in front of them. Students could complain but it would have made it worse. Blaine’s father donated a lot of money to his son’s school and he could get away with anything, making sure that his friends are safe as well. Thus, complaining to a teacher meant facing Blaine’s fury.

Kurt cursed himself. He was late again. After talking with the trio he was lost in his thoughts and didn’t realise he was going to a wrong direction. Once he realised that, he had only five minutes left. He already knew it wasn’t enough to reach the place he needed because the building was huge. The boy quickened the pace and was almost running by the time he reached the doors. He stopped to catch his breath and opened the doors.

“Sorry, I’m late,” he said when everyone in the room turned to see him. “I got lost.”

“I will draw a map on your forehead,” a familiar voice said and Kurt saw Blaine sitting on a couch between Wes and David. The whole room laughed. “Go sit with that sick looking guy over there and wait for your audition.”

Kurt nodded and sat next to the boy who looked as if he was already regretting his choice to audition. However he didn’t have time to change his mind because Blaine asked him to stand in the middle of the room and sing something. The boy did as he was asked and started singing. He got exactly five seconds before David told him he should leave (“Get the fuck out of here, loser” would be exact words).

Kurt swallowed audibly when he was asked to go to the centre of the room.

“You must be joking,” he frowned, feeling everyone’s eyes on him.

Blaine smirked. “Am not. Come on, we don’t have the whole day, Chalmers.”

“I’m sorry for wasting your precious time, gentlemen,” Kurt said and turned to leave.

“Fine. Instead of a pig you can impersonate a monkey,” Wes laughed.

Kurt smiled at him and left without a word. He knew he should have left once he heard Blaine in the room. He scolded himself for dreaming about him, for thinking of him. He knew his daydreams were stupid – Blaine would never like him. Anyway, Kurt was sure he wouldn’t even want to date the boy. He was an ass and it didn’t matter how attractive he was. He was only useful for jerking off.

The phone started ringing once he reached his dorm’s room. Thankfully, he got a single room. Though, not without his father’s interference.

“Hi, Carole,” Kurt answered the phone cheerfully. It was nice to finally hear a friendly voice. “I’m fine… The school is great, I’m busy studying and making new friends… Yes, everyone is nice and they have no idea who I am… I’m going to visit auntie this weekend, I miss Finn, can’t wait to see him… Yes. How are you doing?.. Good to hear. How about dad?.. No surprise, he is always busy… True. I hope I can see you two soon… I know, I miss you too… Oh, okay, I’ll talk to you later… Bye.”

Kurt sighed. His dad and step-mom were really busy. His father was always busy but once he became the president of the United States Kurt saw him on TV or in newspapers more often than face to face. Carole was the Secretary of Health and Human Services so she didn’t have much time either. Hence, they didn’t speak very often and when they did, the conversations were very short and straight to the point. He wanted someone he could talk to. Finn wasn’t what he needed. Of course, they were friends but they were very different. Besides, he wanted someone he could talk to in person.

Kurt sat down on the bed and inhaled deeply trying to compose himself but he wasn’t able to stop tears that started running down his face. He wanted a friend.

End Notes: Please, let me know what you think :) (both positive and negative opinions are very welcome)

Let's see if i can guess this with physic powers what is gonna happen like I did with the others haha I wish I just got lucky anyways Blaine is the biggest asshole in this so is Wes and David. But this is great and yes no sleep again tonight buttt I have no work tomorrow so it works out great. Ohh yeah I kinda sat here staring at this.. 'Kurt Chalmers' asking myself Hey.... Wait.... Did Kurt change his last name and I didn't know about it haha but I read on it's so no one will know who he is right?

Go to sleep. Seriously. And hypnotize yourself to never remember this story. Or go read Worthless/Priceles (my no.1 fic - brilliantly written heart-breaking/warming story). But to answer your questions - yes, they are horrible. And yes, the last name was changed so it would more difficult to figure out the true identity :)
